You're not even making sense at this point.

I'm 100% sure they have prisons in the DPRK.
But how many people are actually in there, and for what crimes, and what is happening to them is not proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Also, a prison does not automatically equal a "concentration camp". A prison needs to have a sizable population and large area to be considered a camp.

As the DPRK is a very poor country, I'm sure they can't afford all the excellent facilities like the USA has at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

That's an embarrassing attempt at sleight-of-hand.
You can see the scars on former prisoners from the camps in videos linked in this very thread.

Sure, I've heard of them. They come from the time of Catherine II (the Great) of Russia.
But they are called VILLAGES for a reason.
What people are claiming with the DPRK is an entire potemkin country just to fool foreigners which is just ludricous.

The dude I linked on the previous page who took the train in the DPRK without a guide for 36 hours from Vladivostok, Russia to Pyongyang traveled and took photos in an area covering over 600 kilometres (almost 400 miles).

People here are claiming everything he photographed was all fake and/or managed, and the "real" horrible "hell on earth" DPRK is always just out of reach behind some mountain, or beyond some barbed wire and chain linked fence. Give me a break.

Well, that's what you just learned from Wikipedia, anyway.

The USSR used the practice to dupe western reporters into thinking the Soviet Union was an amazing place, which is what I would expect any modern person who learned about that practice in a history class to reference.

Similar practices are always used in oppressive statist regimes. If you think a police state can't manage visitors in such a way as to only show them the good parts--or not let them leave--you're simply naive.

Quote:The dude I linked on the previous page who took the train in the DPRK without a guide for 36 hours from Vladivostok, Russia to Pyongyang traveled and took photos in an area covering over 600 kilometres (almost 400 miles).

I suppose it beggars belief to think maybe the guy is part of a PR effort? It's one guy. Why does he get this amazing special treatment when so many others don't? Why are they so tightly watched and controlled?

Further, you claim the media is behind this propaganda effort that paints NK to be some hellhole. Why would they do that? The media loves communist bullshit. If North Korea was really some amazing success, the media would be crowing it to the heavens, not pretending it doesn't exist. That's simply out of line with their known, readily observed motivations.

Are all the photos of North Korea with no electricity also faked? Or is North Korea just a superior society in-tune with the earth that doesn't waste electricity on paltry things like light after sunset?

Neither of us can prove our points of view because, despite your reference from earlier in the thread, this is nothing like doubting the holocaust. What's happening in North Korea is ongoing, not a historical remnant with a lot of pieces to look at in-situ and other piles of evidence to sift through. All we can do is listen to testimony of people who have been there, observe what it looks like from the outside, observe what North Korea does outside its own borders, pay attention to what other failed police states turned out to be once the facade was ripped away, and decide what we think is most likely.

Given the evidence, I think it is most likely a police state hellhole run by a crazy fat man who keeps threatening to nuke my country.

Finally, I wouldn't give a single fuck if it was an amazing place because the fact is, North Korea does hate the US and does keep threatening us. If North Korea just kept to itself I wouldn't care. I'm not out to save the world. But if they keep talking about nuking us and our friends, I think we can't take them out soon enough.

Yeah, maybe they got beat bad in a DPRK prison cause they abused some child, or killed an old man, or threw acid in some girls face.
How the hell do you know what they were really arrested and beat for ?

Maybe they fled the country cause an entire village in the north wanted them dead cause they hoarded a bunch of food for themselves in basement instead of sharing it.

Unless the day comes when we can go there and verify things ourselves, all of these rumors are just that - rumors.

It's pretty disgusting to take people who've been tortured in prison camps and say "I bet they threw acid in a girl's face, or killed an old man."

That is all.

Even if we were talking about Guantanamo, the worst torture I can think they do would be waterboarding. Not forced labour with the risk of being shot every day. From what I also understand, the prisoners are also fed (to their religious beliefs) and allowed to pray.

Here is a link, at the end you can see a nice video of someone getting shot and the rules of the prisons. NSFW

I bet that pregnant woman threw acid in some girl's face.

The baby in her stomach probably killed an old man, too.

Edit: I removed the pic. I didn't even want to fucking look at it. I've replaced it with a pic of a nice casserole.

As other pointed out, the Kim regime can't give up power. There is no retiring to some remote part of the country in peace option for them. They face a fate similar to their former counterparts that ran Romania for many years: Nicolae Ceaușescu and company.

I remember watching that revolution unfold live (yeah... I am old), somewhat awestruck. Here was probably the most Stalinist nation in Europe getting rid of its oppressors in a most sudden and violent fashion. Ceausescu sold off Romanian resources to line his own pockets, damn near starving the country in the process. Your average Romanian had an energy allotment barely enough to boil a pot of water a day.

When you have a Korean flag notch count of at least 5, we can talk some real talk.

Mercenary,

Until now I have only observed this thread because I am not well-versed on the intricacies of North Korean (NK) politics and its international relations. South Korean (SK) women, however, have been a specialty of mine for around 10 years so this seems like a suitable time to offer my thoughts. As you're asking for notch counts and on-the-ground experience as measures of credibility, I can confirm that I've been there, and that I've banged around 25-30 SK women sourced from the mother land and Down Under. These experiences ranges from same-night-lays to a 3-year relationship. Also, I have a pickup-savvy friend who has been to NK and told me some remarkable stories from his visit (no flag was captured though).

{1} WELL DONE RE: NO-FAP

First, I recall seeing your name many times in the NoFap thread which, to me, represents a core pillar of what's great about RVF and Neomasculinity -- namely, taking responsibility for one's own actions and seeing the virtue in self-discipline to achieve a better, healthier life. I commend your consistent, detailed efforts to add knowledge and actually improve the lives of other men. Fantastic job.

{2} KOREAN WOMEN

I'm not quite sure of the exact point you're trying to make regarding SK women, however it seems that you're basically saying (a) "they suck these days" and (b) "in comparison, NK women are superior". A few points follow in response to this.

{2.1} I am unsure if you are genuine about your claims on SK women, or if you are trying to make a contrarian point for its own sake. If you truly think that SK women are horrible (?), I would seriously love to read a detailed explanation of which countries' women are superior, your rationale for why they're better, along with an overview of your own experience and successes/failures with women in both countries.

{2.2} The problems relating to the 'westernisation' of Asian and other exotic women have been well-documented at RVF and I certainly share your worry in relation to some lingering issues in SK such as the low fertility rate. Please feel free to send me a PM if you would like to know how genuinely important this matter is to me (or to chat about anything).

That said, of the 10+ Asian countries I've been to, my personal ratings for the best quality Asian women are nonetheless SK and Japan, followed by Taiwan. (For pure quantity, I'd say Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.) Several threads, in particular 'Concerning the Korean chicks vs. all-other-Asian chicks debate', discuss their relative hotness in detail, and the consensus seems to be that SK women are viewed as some of the most attractive and the hardest to bang in all of Asia. The latter, general opinion is likewise congruent with my own experience; I went through the worst night of blow-outs of my entire life when I first went out in SK, and that is saying a lot. Still, I can't stop loving Korean women.

{2.3} In any case, I don't believe that "women suck" let alone "SK women suck". If you wanna find high quality, relationship material women, you really gotta put in the work. Sure, it ain't easy, but it can be done. After all, the 'hard work ethic' is a central tenet of neomasculinity for good reason (it's a must for any man with a desire for self-mastery and dream-catching). On a related note, I previously wrote about the inspiring work of Travesty and other RVFers in searching for and finding such special women.

{2.4} Debating the relative merits of NK versus SK women is likely to be unproductive considering the apparent sample size of zero NK bangs reported at RVF (The search term 'North Korean flag' only reveals the thread 'Will Rodman get flag in North Korea?'Laugh). Therefore, any arguments for/against the relative benefits of higher marriage rates in NK versus the higher attractiveness and health in SK will be largely moot.

In addition, as you have not been to NK or banged a girl from NK, it would be fair to say that your argument lacks the grounding in real-life experience to afford it any credibility. This relates to my next point which I hope you will consider as some constructive feedback.

{3} CREDIBILITY

Consider asking yourself these two questions in all honesty: Do I want to be viewed as a man with credibility? If so, what are some ways to maximise my credibility?

{3.1} I note that you are well-vetted in real life from a number of highly-regarded members such as Gmac, Suits and more. This is interesting. In briefly glancing at the reps of those who seem to share similar, highly-contrarian approaches and interests in speculative globalist plots and metaphysical theories, you are one of the few who has actually put in considerable work to meet other people in person. Therefore it is fair for you to get some leeway in avoiding the common assumptions of some readers in labeling such conspiracy-driven writings as the work of anti-social basement dwellers.

Given the ease of embellishment and outright fabrication on the net, having a couple of RVF members verify that you-are-who-you-say-you-are goes a long way in affording believeability and I do commend your action here. Good on you.

To me, this is a big +1 for your credibility overall. That said, I've noted some potential risks below and hope you view this as helpful feedback for consideration.

(04-17-2017 02:27 AM)Mercenary Wrote:  [...]
I imagine most dudes in the DPRK marry a virgin wife and divorce is rare.

{3.1} I emphasized your speculative "I imagine" because I think this illustrates one of the core reasons why you have received a lot of criticism in this thread.

Across all pickup forums I've been on, posters who engaged in 'mental masturbation' or 'keyboard jockeying' faced harsh scrutiny. These terms referred to the tendency to theorize based on situations that are either hypothetical or situations in which the poster had very limited experience. Rookies who spent a lot of time online writing about pickup, rather than offline actually doing pickup were often subject to such branding. While those forums lacked the political/sociological aspects of RVF and thus the theory-driven discussions, there is an important lesson here for any non-fiction writer, and that is:

Write what you know

{3.2} Now, if you're writing about something not based on personal experience, I urge you to acknowledge that you are merely theorizing, and if you're using external sources to back up your claims, do what you can to ensure your sources are credible. For instance, staged photos and NK propaganda posters do not help your argument. Verification of source material is especially important in the age of digital manipulation, fake news and even fake websites. Just keep in mind that search engines can make us feel smarter than we really are.

What's more, Enigma made a number of striking points such as a concern over cherry-picking as a means to support a confirmation bias. I also commend Bushido's level-headed analysis and suggestions for reading.

{3.3} Using other, completely-unrelated perceived or verified deceptions from the government/media does not support any alleged deceptions in this case and instead weakens your original argument. Rather, each claim should be evaluated on its own merit.

As LDN noted Laugh

(04-18-2017 04:21 AM)Leonard D Neubache Wrote:  Even Bigbird, globalist PBS shill that he is, still provides an accurate account of how to count to ten.

Similarly, Dr Steven Novella explains that a blanket non-belief of 'everything from authority' is merely contrarian cynicism, not healthy skepticism or critical thinking. LDN shared a similar sentiment in this instance. Rhyme or Reason's post 'Breaking the cycle of cynicism' and H1N1's post 'The Dangers of the Red Pill' note some related problems and suggestions for action.

{3.4} I know it is not easy to admit "I was wrong", especially on a public forum. Being part of online pickup communities for over a decade, I've admittedly written plenty of regret-worthy posts, including a number sent in pride-driven self-defense or in a righteous, emotional outburst. I know it can be tough when you feel backed into a corner. However, people will respect you a lot more if you acknowledge the limitations within any argument rather than persisting in defense of a highly questionable position (like advocating for NK as an apparent way to demonstrate and advocate for disbelief in authority). What's more, being honest with yourself is a necessary step in the journey towards self-mastery.

{4} SELF-AWARENESS

On that note, being a truly free thinker entails adopting a critical, balanced evaluation of opinions not just from the media and other people, but also recognition of our own self-serving fallacies and biases.

David McRaney Wrote:Once you understand that the brain generates a model that is a representation of a more complex and nuanced reality, you can see that your interactions are broad and blunt, approximate and presumptuous, and probably wrong in many ways but in the end, good enough

With this in mind, it could be helpful to ask yourself "What is more important, to believe I'm right and feel smart or to grow and be smarter?" Instead of posting with a mindset of "I am gonna show them how right and smart I am", instead consider the mantra "I wonder if I can learn something from this feedback?". Practicing self-acceptance and detachment from self-rating can help with this.

{4.1} Something that helps me when posting online, is to consider the idea that 'The Meaning of Your Communication is The Response You Get' -

Perception Studios Wrote:In communicating with other people, what matters more: what we intend to convey, or the actual response we get? Who is responsible for your communication? The meaning of our communication is not what we think it means. It is based on the response we get from the other person...

For example, we might intend to pay someone a compliment, and if they take it the wrong way, what can we do about that? Would it make sense to argue that they should just take it as a compliment and chill out? Perhaps a better approach is to notice that for them to receive it, compliments must be delivered differently.

I've included this because it appears that you seem to be unwilling to consider the validity of any opposing arguments. In light of this, my suggestion would be to reconsider your approach in persuading others of your opinion by asking yourself, "How can I outline my position in a more effective manner?" or even "Considering how much resistance I'm facing, is everyone else mistaken or is my own argument invalid in some way?"

{5} CONCLUSION

In summary, based on my very brief understanding of your postings here, you have already done well in establishing trustworthiness through meeting other members. (I encourage all RVFers to invest in their own, local tribes.) You have also contributed greatly to RVF knowledge on NoFap amongst much else. There are several things you can do to enhance your online credibility, for instance writing what you know, using credible source material, focusing on the issue at hand, and acknowledging the limitations of your own arguments. Last, cultivating frank self-awareness, considering the 'why' behind the feedback on your posts, and using a mindset of learning over pride could also be helpful.

You seem to be a smart, independently-minded guy who is committed to improving the lives of other men, and I want you to know that I sincerely recognise the good work you have done here. I truly wish that your gifts of insight are put to their best use during what limited time we all have. I hope this post was useful for you and the readership.

I'm not sure if that was the most polite and respectful rebuttal ever, or a sick burn!

RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
So, because North Korea's state-run propaganda channels don't broadcast the atrocities of the Kim Jong regime to the world - they must not be happening. People are being thrown into prisons that just look like concentration camps, but they aren't thought criminals. The North Korean defectors in the south risked death and traveled thousands of miles through East Asia to get to SK for no apparent reason. The dozens of testimonies from escapees are all false. Kim Jong-Un doesn't actually force his people to worship him like a god, he doesn't actually execute people who try to leave the country and it' all hearsay and gossip.

I assume the sky is green, also.

The DPRK is a totalitarian fascist prison-state. I'm surprised there's any debate about this. It's yet another example of what happens when you get God out of country and allow a centralized government to grow beyond any measure of control. In other words, it's a leftist utopia. Free education, equal opportunity for work, authoritarian rule and no religion.

Straight out of the Communist Manifesto.

Gay SK soldier controversy.

South Korea should get with the times and start appreciating sexual diversity on its ranks like the US. Openly homosexual troops, alongside women, provide an invaluable addition to any military force, particularly in combat arms units.

Shame on you South Korea! End this ignorance!

RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
Washington Post is complaining about Trump saying that Xi Jinping told him Korea was historically a part of China.

WaPo Wrote:Trump’s inartful retelling of Sino-Korean history sparked widespread outrage among Koreans, who are particularly sensitive to the U.S. president’s rhetoric amid heightened tensions between North and South Korea. Leaders across the political spectrum criticized Trump’s characterization, calling it a clear distortion of history and an attempt to undermine Korean sovereignty.

Trump’s phrasing that the Korean Peninsula “actually used to be a part of China” may be his SparkNotes version, not a verbatim account of Xi’s history lesson.

It's a simplified account, but the truth is that North Korea was under direct Chinese control on and off in ancient times. Furthermore, the version of history Xi Jinping would have likely been taught probably had him learn that Korea itself was founded by a Chinese nobleman 3,000 years ago. It's not surprising that Xi would say Korea was originally Chinese.

But of course the only thing the writers of the article care about is making the US President look like a doofus.

How good are the US defenses against a nuclear missile launch?

I hear there are layers to the US missile defense strategy. But hitting a bullet with a bullet has not been perfected yet. I figure one of you probably has a good handle on it.

Thanks.

I worked with this former US Navy nuke engineer (power plants, not warheads).

He claimed up and down that the US wasn't worried about ICBMs much anymore due to secret defense stuff.

That said, he also claimed the US had multiple doomsday devices, like a bomb in Yellowstone "just in case."

So it's possible he was a bit TOO woke.

I'm sure God prefers a country that is $20 trillion in debt, has 10's of millions living in poverty without adequate healthcare. Cities with crumbling infrastructure, an education system that is breaking down, massive inequality, women who are fat and lack any kind of femininity, and an economy largely based on waging illegal wars across the planet in order to expropriate all the wealth for the 1% Globalist elite.

Straight out of the Oligarchy.
