Cutoff is at 65 because it is the normal, official age for French workers to retire. And when they retire, they usually flee big cities and go live like semi-wealthy Natives in the countryside, far from the Enrichment of Islam and Animism (and far from terror attacks).

A big factor in why the older cohort voted for Macron in such big numbers is they are afraid what would happen to their pensions if they went off the Euro.

Maybe they want to save their country from the hordes, but losing their pension in old age is worse.
