G hit the nail on the head as usual. Instead of saying cities fulfill themselves I'd just simply say they have unique cultures.

Just like when you go to Brazil and you see women running around with huge asses in tiny thongs don't be overly surprised when you show up in LA and see tons of fake tits, some shirtless surfers wandering around in SoCal, or a bunch of cowboy boot and hat wearing minority haters in Cheyene WY.

Due to any cities distinct culture certain things will be more or less permissible. Why should models be in DC? DC is all about STABLE employment.

When was the last time you met a hot girl concerned with stable employment? They don't care about that shit as hot women can get almost everything they need from dumb guys. This leaves them free to do whatever the fuck it is they want to do (usually chase fame and do blow). Stable employment attracts this type of hag though.

The women of DC do have an honest complaint as the majority of guys in DC aren't really that great of a catch either. Does that mean you should stick it out here and slog through all the frumpy 6's and their endless shit testing? Hell no!! Get the fuck out of dodge.

Just be prepared that if you are in fact one of these "dc dochebags" your life isn't going to get any better wherever you run to.

I just had to add to this. After reading all of the threads dealing with DC, it's a relief that I am NOT delusional about meeting chicks in DC.

I can't really add too much more to the criticisms of DC, but as a black person, I can add my perspective on why I also have to take the "DC sucks" platform, especially in the dating scene.

-It is highly segregated, mega snooty, and very covertly racist. The suburbs outside of the beltway (in NoVA and MoCo) aren't too bad in those arenas and I do get better vibes from females, but I'm not trying to pull off jailbait game; there are almost no 20-somethings in outer beltway MoCo and NoVA. As for the places where there are the most 20-somethings, you either have ghetto native blacks or snobbish yuppie whites, with a trace of annoying hipsters whites and bourgie HBCU blacks. If you don't fit into those categories, good luck trying to get into dating or even the social scene of DC. I, myself, am personally more of the Affliction shirt and leather jacket wearing dude that would fit better in San Diego or somewhere similar.

-Not all black dudes are interested in "big booty bitches" and "independent sistas." I'm definitely more into interracial dating, whether it's white, Asian, Latina, Middle Eastern, or Indian (both kinds ). And being raised around DC's black community has turned me off to most attributes of black women, like overly big butts, weave hair, and ghetto (some people might call it southern, but it's straight up hood IMO) accents. And I could care less for most of these kind of white chicks who tend to swarm to DC. Granted I'm still willing to have ONS with the (few) decent looking white chicks, but the shit testing and bitch shields they put up in unison make it not worth my time. My problem is that DC is one of the most lopsided dating scenes in the country when it comes to race. Like how America's economy is now based on crony capitalism, the dating scene in DC is so crony to the point where I see straight up omegas white guys who scoop up good looking asian women, while clean-cut black dudes with solid looks and game can't even get with white chicks. Not to make this a race issue, but the talk-to-talk liberalism the yuppies spout in DC damn sure doesn't match their walk-to-walk. It's better out in outer-beltway MoCo and NoVA, but as I said before, I not interested in going to jail over tapping 16-year-old ass.

-And even beyond dating, just meeting people, even dudes to chill out and kill time playing video games and watching a game/fight with is a feat. Didn't have a problem with this when I went out of state for college, but in DC, forget about it. Never had I faced a group of people who are so antisocial and cliquish. It ranges from people who are just plain antisocial and stick to themselves or their GF's, to those who have a group of friends and make it clear (in the typical passive-aggressive-sniveling-beta-male DC kind of way) that they aren't going to include you! And this is from going to multiple meetup groups and "social sport" groups.

I just had to make my peace on this issue. I may have been born here, but damn I hate this fucking place. My bad if my post was more on the bitching side, but if you knew where I was coming for, you'd understand. I can't wait until the Gov't runs out of money so I can find a job outside of the DC area.

Also, if you're good looking and clean-cut as you claim, you should inject yourself into the social group you want to meet. It may require that you become the single Oreo in the group, but if you do this, you will find white girls far more comfortable hanging with you. But you can't expect them to want to hang out of their social circle just to be multicultural. Would be nice if they did, but girls aren't like that, ya know?

"Vegas" type girls migrate to Las Vegas."

Last year on one of my jaunts out to Vegas I sat next to one of these. If I can remember, her name was Natalie. Make no mistake, she was hot, but was all done up and fake looking, like a stripper. Tight jeans, stripper heels (not clear heels, ala Chris Rock, but the same style), and a tight pink t-shirt with her fake tips popping out of the top of them. All of her teeth were capped too. She was accompanied by her little terrier, Layla, who's hair was dyed pink, and her little nails were painted and had glitter on them. I'm not kidding. She was originally sitting in another seat, but had to move, and since I had two open seats next to me (her by the window, and the dog in the seat between us), I invited her to come sit in my row (I couldn't resist). I used the dog as a conversation piece to open the convo (my mom likes terrier-type dogs), and asked her if she enjoyed her visit to NY (as I said, she had "Vegas Stripper" written all over her). As it turns out, she had JUST moved to NY from Vegas, and was returning to basically have her farewell celebration with friends. She told me what area of NY she got an apartment (high rent, so she's probably still stripping/hooking, or has a "sponsor"). I recall asking what she did, but she evaded the question. But as bubbleheads are want to do, she told me anyway. Somehow the convo drifted towards what I end up doing when I'm in Vegas, and the Spearmint Rhino came up. "Oh, I used to work there!" GOTCHA BITCH! Then she talked about having to lose weight because she had a Playboy shoot coming up (this trick didn't have an ounce of fat on her), so of course I teased her about that. She talked about how dudes were sweating her on Facebook, and some other nonsense. We said our goodbyes when we landed, and I went on my way. Chicks like this are all over Vegas (there's more of that kind of work), but NY, Miami and Cali have plenty of them too.

As for latinas, I would venture that NYC has far more, and a greater variety of nationalities of latinas. For a single small area, there's probably a greater concentration of fly ones in South Beach, but I don't know if they all live there, or are just in town to party.

With Whites/Asians, Asians are the "model minority." White guys usually hook up with other white women, latinas that either look more white or are raised essentially in white culture, or Aisan women. If an Asian chick doesn't hook up with an Asian dude, Whites are the only non-Asian that is acceptable, because they represent status and success here in the US. If white couples can't adopt a white kid, they get an Asian one.

Blacks and Latins/Hispanics usually share the same neighborhoods, and some Latins actually ARE black in terms of their heritage, though the cultures and native languages are different. And frankly, I've found that brothers will holler at just about any chick they think is fine...HA HA!

The ABC News journalist Elizabeth Vargas talked about his in a piece a few years ago. Latinos give her shit because she doesn't know Spanish, and culturally isn't the least bit Latin. She explained that her grandfather immigrated here from Puerto Rico, and nothing was more important to him than being a fully integrated American. He felt to be successful, he had to wash away his culture. So his children were forbidden from speaking Spanish. One of his sons (Vargas' father), married an Irish woman, so not only was language lost, but foods and other parts of their culture. She herself had only dated white guys, and married one (singer Marc Cohn). She became Latin in surname only, but culturally she was basically white. She expressed regret about losing her connection to that part of her family and Latin culture, but now her own kids are white too so that part of her is lost.

what happened in two years to change that?

It's not completely devoid of talent. Sure, Miami, NYC, Chicago have much better looking girls but its still a big city.

The "vibe" of the city is definitely a work first, play last, and this is to blame. Stand outside of Clarendon or Courthouse metro station, or hit up the Whole Foods in Arlington for a more accurate sample of who actually lives here. Plenty of hot girls, just don't expect to see them out later.

It was most likely an oddball night. This city has changed a lot in the past few years. I started noticing it the summer of 09. Now this place is just intolerable.

I truly believe that each city has their purpose.

Me personally and for the most part, I LIKE WASHINGTON DC. I am not worried about all the academic/career talk that DC chicks talk about because I have that too, so I can be done with that part of the convo within 30 seconds. As I have mentioned before on here, DC is great for the 'ole "beta provider" approach since so many of these chicks want to settle down. Ya'll know my process but I mention it again...

1) Sell them a dream (with beta-provider tendencies)
2) Bang....bust a nut
3) Catch amnesia

The thing I hate about DC chicks is that still you may have wait too long to know your current status, which is why you need cities like.......

New York City - Yes, the chicks can shut you down quicker than any but AT LEAST you know the deal within 5 seconds after approaching. That allows for more of a rapid-fire approach to more women and sooner or later, the law of averages will be on your side. So what if I go 1-for-15 in NYC during a night?.....I only have ONE dick anyway.

In Miami, you have a large latina populations but of course, what you DON'T know is which latin chicks are into brothas and which are not. Still, the upside is good so who cares about going 1-for-15 in Miami......IT'S MIAMI.

Even though I mention latin chicks, about 90% of the time, I am hollerin' at black chicks. Since I grew up as a suburban-raised black male, I am going to look for similar black chicks...which means hang out at spots to give me a greater chance of meeting those type of chicks. It's kind of why I used to travel to Canada (non urban areas) and other places....I could find black chicks who did not have the "urban traits".

Guys, please skip DC all-together and go for Fells Point in Baltimore. I guarantee you will have a much better time. I went there last week and was chatting HBs all over and getting digits. I can't remember the last time I spoke only to 7+ chicks in DC. I am 32 now and unfortunately it took me 13 years of wasted money and time to finally figure out that DC just ain't worth it. I am fucking tired of having to wear beer goggles just so I can get some here and be rejected by HBs just because I don't meet their definition of a good looking Alpha Male. Oh, and for all those guys here who keep claiming that game is a cureall for everything I'd like to put those same guys in a typical DC bar where the ratio can be 80% male and only 1 out of every 10 girls is good looking and single. DC - Well stated. I couldn't put it any better for all the money in the world. Rarely is a problem so singular and one-dimensional in nature, but this is one of those exceptions.

To those reading this thread out of curiosity, you're probably wondering just what kind of place Washington, DC actually is. It really is a nice city, and has everything you could possibly want in terms of the modern conveniences of Western life right at your fingertips.

It's neat, efficient, supremely clean, with easy and spacious urban living. Just don't expect to be able to get food or even a cup of coffee past 7pm. (Seriously. I live in the dead-center of town and apart from a single Starbucks on Dupont Circle, you WILL NOT be able to buy a cup of coffee past 7pm. It really is a 9-5 town with a work first, play last mentality.) It's also got three good airports, and while Dulles is a fair ride out of town, it's a decent airport from which you can fly nearly anywhere in the world nonstop.

The only problem is the SEVERE unattractiveness of the women. But that alone is enough to make a man get serious about leaving. The only thing keeping dudes with any sort of game here are the insanely inflated salaries. When you can make three times here what you'd make elsewhere, it really does become more affordable to just work during the week and head straight for the airport on Friday afternoons to a new destination of choice. Still, it does get quite tiresome sitting on airplanes all the time to be around a scene that suits you.

Gorton's - No need to worry about blowing off steam in here, man. I hear you! And I also agree this city is quite snooty and covertly racist. The irony being it paints itself as one of the most liberal, desegregated (it's not) cities in the country. I actually think somewhere like Texas, for example, is far more racially tolerant and mixed than DC.

To end on a positive note, DC makes a good point about the shops and the daytime scene here. It's not that Washington DC doesn't have solid 8s and 9s. It does (albeit in a smaller proportion to other cities). Walking through the Whole Foods in Clarendon is a absolute revelation, for example. Or walking past several restaurants in Clarendon serving brunch on a Sunday (Don't get me started on the new trendy social Sunday concept of "brunch"), you'll see considerable talent but guess what? None of that was at a nightlife venue the night before, or the night before that, or the night before that... The only method in which to consistently approach 9s in DC is daygame, although that concept doesn't work as well in DC as it does in other cities, for reasons already noted by others.

All DCers - I'm curious: I posed this questions to some friends a couple weeks ago. What percentage of guys in DC do you think are able to CONSISTENTLY keep a rotation of 3-4 solid 8s or 9s going in DC. Bearing in mind DC has a plethora of beta-males with no game, I used to peg that figure at around 1 percent, but now I think it's more like 0.1%, if that! You can have all the game in the world, but if you don't have a field to play on...

Enough about DC - In Copenhagen and London this week so game on!

Yeah I agree. Most Starbucks close early (except Dupont's), but you can definitely find "diner" type places open late. Most bars with kitchens will serve coffee too. Chinatown sucks... it's the one downside since I live close-by. Tourists and sports fanatics.

Downtown Houston is very much like this. It's strictly for business. Cars commute in in the morning, and all leave at 5:00. It's a ghost town after that, and if you haven't eaten before 7:00, you've got problems. At that point, only hotel bar/restaurants are open, with maybe only a couple of other spots you can get food. You have to leave downtown and go into the outskirts to find places that stay open later.

Jackhammer, that is a great question! I see very few 8+ HBs in DC and have never had any friend in DC date more than one who was that hot. As soon as they get a chick like that they get attached

Unless one has perfect game and good looks like RooshV, Mixx, etc. I doubt this task can be accomplished in DC. I myself have never been able to pull any hot chick here although i do have high standards but only beginner game. So to answer your question I would put answer to your question as <2%
