Not trying to call you out, but I'm genuinely curious about what you mean by the bolded. I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a 3 year MD/PhD program, whether in the Caribbean or elsewhere, at least not one that would be accredited by the US government and leave you with any hope of practicing medicine in the USA. MD programs are all 4 years, and the handful of MD/PhD programs out there are typically 7+ years. I fail to see how there could exist an MD/PhD program out there that is a year shorter than the standard 4 year MD-only timeline.

You are wrong. There are several Caribbean 3 year MD/PhD programs and I go to one. There are no summers off and and it is brutal.You are correct that it is not accredited by the US government , it is accredited by the Caribbean Island it is located on. I do not receive Federal Student Loans and had to pay out of pocket for school, which is a big part of why I am broke. The only Caribbean School accredited to receive Federal Student Loans is Ross (which is owned by DeVry and is the only for profit medical school to receive loans.). I am able to take the USMLE Step 1,2,and 3 and apply for match just like every other Medical School because it is accredited by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). I did all my rotations in an American teaching hospital, defended and published my thesis, and met all the same testing requirements that US students do- just in less time for less money.

I am very educated but without an active medical license an Medical Degree is nothing but debt. I got the PhD because I do patents in the life sciences and the MD/PhD was was the same price as the PhD so it made financial sense to do both.I am currently doing document review to pay for my Step 2 CS and CK review.No law firm will hire me because they will look at my resume and know that I am going to leave as soon as I get my ECFMG letter and do a Transition Year or enter match for 2018.

I am not a lawyer or a patent agent, but I am very familiar with the patent process and will say that Atlanta Man's story (JD + MD/PhD + patent bar) is quite believable. If you want to be a patent attorney and work with drug patents, then JD + MD or PhD in biotech are the credentials required, and there are many people out there like that.

That said, his story (particularly the bolded) is actually depressing rather than impressive. Patent attorneys with MD or PhD Bio are supposed to be the absolute pinnacle of the profession. If you have these guys resorting to doc review because law firms don't want to keep them while they're undergoing training, then the patent field must be suffering quite a bit right now.

If you are Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science and registered with the USPTO you are doing well as a patent agent, if you get your JD and register as a Patent Attorney you are doing very well. Biotech is OK, but Computers, communication devices, and semi conductors are doing gangbusters. Life Sciences is just saturated right now, there are more than enough JD/MS and JD/PhD's to go around- Just look on LinkedIn. Honestly life sciences is easier that Electrical Engineering , after Organic Chemistry it is all downhill.

It's fitting that he mentions Saul Alinsky as one of the Alt-Right/Daily Stormer's biggest influences, considering this is exactly the tactic that Communists use when talking about Socialism.

Just as Alinsky-ites and Marxists (not so) secretly consider Socialism as a stepping stone to Communism, many in the Alt-Right consider the "JQ" not as an honest exploration of truth but as part of a natural progression to their gas-the-Jews LARPing.

And you've never seen the Manosphere/Neomasculinity, etc. ever make a concerted effort to "destroy" MGTOWs/MRAs and the like. I was doing some research yesterday and noticed 8Chan's /pol/ and TRS Stuff Forums have declared war on each other, whilst the My Posting Career guys are laughing the Implicit Homosexuality of Spencer and Co. and the revelation of his would-be Secret Society that was discovered through hacking by 4Chan's /pol/.

Each group is laughing about the 'alt-right'. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here thinking "I thought you were all the alt-right."

So I remembered Encyclopedia Dramatica, a site that was all about being deliberately-offensive and politically-incorrect, but was always a good resource for understanding internet communities and drama for someone outside of it. I looked all of them up, only to discover SJW language and that everyone involved is now a 'racist nazi'. I guess they got converged over the last couple of years, after they got infamous in the Australian Media for their page on 'Aboriginals'.

I don't think I'll ever understand internet culture. Staying out of it is probably the best course of action.
