Asking for a donation and suggesting to fascilitate the sale is definitely very close to extortion. In any case the troll army of /pol/ and others is upon her, she has been removed from the website of her realtor, will be interesting to follow what happens.

I am not sure what his situation is -- Whitefish is basically a vacation town, there is a ski hill (Big Mountain) and a lake. Loaded with wealthy Californians and oil money from Alberta. I would assume his wealthy parents took a vacation there, fell in love with it and his dad let his mom buy some property there to fulfill her dreams or whatever. Richard probably just spends some winter time up there for skiing or maybe fly fishes, I dunno. Looks like he lives mainly in DC and grew up in Texas.

Seems like a pretty dense move to me, I don't see Montanans voting for a state outsider.

If I was the figurehead of an organization who's principals many other people find extremely offensive, i would absolutely expect there to be negative fallout my family was forced to deal with.

And yes I hate Richard Spencer, strictly because of his dishonesty. I think spinning the situation over the property as a personal attack on his mother is the disturbing stretch. I say this as a man who rents commercial properties in a close knit rural community with high property value. The state of Virginia has Spencers corporate filings at this buildings address. For his mother to deny the building has anything to do with Richard was a bad move. Maybe Mrs. Spencer doesn't understand the business?

It seems to me that with this video here, and his moms various op-eds and blog posts, these people are trying to stir up their supporters and make this a lot more than it actually is. That's the spin Richard is after.

What exactly did the jews do? Just tell his mom that she should sell her property and denounce her son? I'm not sure how that is illegal, nor is calling for a boycott on renting from the building illegal either. Spencer could just as easily ask for a boycott on businesses he doesn't like as well.

"Sell or else we will bankrupt you through harassment" is clearly intimidation. That isn't even enough, they ask her to make a 'donation' to an unrelated firm. This is straight up mafia methods.

I'm having real trouble finding the threats and extortion in those emails. It looks like a Realtor doing her job.

I've read both far ends of this spectrum. The daily stormer's reaction to a rabbi telling people to send nice notes to people involved is to bus in skinheads and give them assault weapons.

If the man is the leader of a group that is pro murder and that groups corporate filings list its headquarters as that building, absolutely.

Forget she is his mother. She is responsible for what goes on on that property.

If the town doesn't want whatever it is going on in that location, they have the right to take action.

It sounds to me like they're essentially running a scheme to drop the value of a property so they can buy it cheap. If you've got protestors driving away all the tenants then the building is worthless for the owner, just the same as if they hired gangsters to go in and burglarize the building every month until everyone moved out. The only difference with this is that they're hiding behind popular public anti-anti-semitism to pull it off legally.
