This was not the act of a maladjusted, mentally ill loner. This was clearly, by the shooter's own admission, an act of politically and racially motivated terrorism. He was influenced directly by the LIARS, RACE HUSTLERS, MEDIA WHORES and PAID PROVOCATEURS that comprise the BLM movement. These people have created an entirely false narrative that portrays white police officers as bloodthirsty racists who prowl the streets looking for innocent black men to execute. This is absolute insanity. It has no relation to reality whatsoever. This is a country of over 300 million people, and inevitably a few times a year there will be a police shooting in which a black suspect is killed when he maybe shouldn't have been. Or perhaps he was killed justifiably when all the facts are taken into account, but the optics of the killing look bad on the surface. This is simply how statistics work. The exact same thing happens to white men too. Anyone remember the video awhile back of the white guy who was getting out of his wrecked car and the cop pulls his gun and shoots him right in the head for absolutely no fucking reason? This is simply what happens when people do stupid things that attract police and then double down on that stupidity by further inflaming the situation with antagonistic behavior. And then rarely, sometimes people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the cop fucks up and shoots them. The police must be held accountable in those rare situations. But they are truly few and far between. There is no epidemic of police violence against black men. It is a lie created by the media, SJWs, black racial activists and the people that fund them (hello Soros) to inflame racial sentiment across the country. This is a subversive ideology and it is being pushed by no less than the sitting President of the United States. What a completely fucked up situation. A travesty. This country is on the verge of coming apart at the seams.

Possible suspect according to a city official.
Holy shit. Let's see the liberal spin on this.

It sounds callous, I believe this is the wrong way to think. Feeding into the frenzy doesn't help any.
We have 300 million + people. 5 died. People need to be a bit more steadfast against losses in the face of adversity.
Soon there will be hysteria over one person being killed.

I know it seems retarded, I believe it is right though. Gmanifesto tweeted earlier to GLL: "You been watching too much news, look up Little Round Top 1863 for really bad."
Best thing you can do is if you are white or black and run into a person of the opposite race that seems edgy or has strong emotions over this is to smooth things out and not up the ante by tapping into the manufactured anger. Trust is the foundation.
Of course you can prepare for the escalation which very may well happen, feeding into it I think is an energy that will build on itself and have no good outcome.

It's not about the body count. These situations are not purely rational. There is no magic number of people being killed that, once reached, the populace will snap and civil war will start immediately. Rather, think of the country as a big pile of combustible material. We've got sparks hitting it all the time. Most of the time they burn out quickly. But the danger is when the sparks intensify in frequency and magnitude. The situation then becomes extremely dangerous and unpredictable. You might continue to get isolated burning embers...or the entire thing might go up in a blazing inferno at any moment.
Go back and study the history of the events leading up to the American Civil War. It wasn't like the North and South just decided to start fighting one day. The tension had been simmering and slowly building for years. Many people felt that it was only a matter of time until the issue was settled with open conflict. And they were right.
Societies themselves, like the individuals who comprise them, are susceptible to moods. Anger. Fear. Happiness. Contentment. Apathy. Dread. The mood of a society is determinative of its present and predictive of its future. How would we characterize the current American mood? I would use words like hopeless, angry, alienated, worried. These are not indicative of good times to come. The expectations of a society play a large role in shaping its future. The present mood is grim and grows darker by the day. Trump is essentially the only ray of light on the horizon, the only person or thing (secular at least) who is capable of inspiring tens of millions of Americans and shifting the national mood (contrast with Hillary: uninspiring even to her own supporters, her campaign is based entirely on the acquisition of power as its own end, rather than for a purpose, i.e. Making American Great Again). This is why Trump is such a momentous figure and why so much is riding on his election. It is about much more than just him being elected President. It is, essentially, a referendum of darkness vs. light, of hope vs. fear, of renewal vs. decay. Trump's election represents the only hope for arresting and possibly reversing America's slide into oblivion. Otherwise our national mood will continue to grow darker, the clouds on the horizon will soon be over our heads and the days of true suffering and conflict will be upon us.
You can be sure, however, that organized attacks by groups of armed men are a precursor to imminent civil war and the breakdown of the rule of law. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Brown...pers_Ferry
This scared the everliving shit out of white Southerners in 1859. Fear is a powerful motivator. The mood of society shifting quickly toward fear means that violence is inevitable (anyone remember the national mood post 9/11? I do). If that fear is a product of internal strife (say...the organized killing of police officers or innocent white people by groups of BLM terrorists) then the resulting violence will also be directed internally.
And that's how civil war/ethnic cleansing starts, and why it has nothing to do with precise body counts.

Love of guns is essentially on the level of religion in America. Although I don't hear much argument in favor of legalizing full-auto or grenade launchers, limiting semi-auto rifle ownership is political suicide and serious discussion of it is more or less not allowed.
I'm very liberal but think alienating gun owners with gun control is just a distraction from the more important issue of wealth disparity, the .01% etc, which is a permissible discussion to some degree.

Quote:Cops are not judges bro. We're not living in Judge Dredd world (yet). There are a ton of arcane and anachronistic stupid laws on the books that no cop should ever enforce, but according to your definition of policing, they should. And that mentality is what led Toronto police chief Bill Blair to abuse an ancient WWII-era law in order to over-militarize his forces in 2010.To be judged they have to go to court! But if they threaten or risk lives out on the streets cops are going to respond on the street.
Quote:So SWAT team equipment and training is cheap, right? And let's not even get started on talking about the pensions bro. Please do NOT try to use a financial argument. Policing is consistently the BIGGEST line item in every local government budget. Spare me.[/quote]
Quote:Well, that succinctly explains why I don't want cops anywhere near me.Well, too bad for you that if you are middle class or above MOST of your fellow voters do want the police around. Perhaps you missed the point where the elected leaders are doing mostly what their voters want.
