There is a lot you can document over this.

- Rise of gangs. All empires and civilisations were started by gangs at one point.

- A Government heading towards use of extreme violence to hang onto power. How does this actually play out? We always focus on the actual 'thing' than what led up to the events.

Claiming it was a power grab is just to broad a claim. Things happen and they happen in a certain way.

People losing hope is a key milestone in a movement towards anarchy and barbarism.

The fact is that the vast majority of Venezuelans are stupid. I have several Venezuelans on the ground and for all of their anti-socialism talk the reality is they aren't really mad a Maduro. They are mad because they aren't getting free stuff anymore. This is a country that used to give $5000 to citizens for no reason, nobody was complaining about Socialism back then because the going was good. If tomorrow Venezuelans could go back to having free stuff like in 2007 they would do it in a heartbeat and would be praising Maduro.

If you are poor, survival is the idea of the day. With that backdrop, traditional living is always the case.

Maduro refusing to allow the opposition leader to hold office seems to have finally got through to these spitballs that Maduro owns them. I'm amazed they haven't started up before now. And as it is, since I'm still not seeing any indication that the military is turning on Maduro, I'm not expecting much to happen out here.

Presently the people are not motivated enough to toss out the government and so the military is wisely playing its cards close to its chest.

If/When the people start burning haciendas and overturning police cars then the military will wait for the police to cry uncle before ousting Maduro and being hailed as saviours. That's assuming serious levels of foreign interference doesn't come into play.

The citizens of venezuela have been rioting for over a year. Bullets stop people last time I checked. But the people are heading for the border rather than taking a bullet in the city. They are literally in every country that I have been to right now. If america takes the same turn I think the majority of its citizens would starve here because canada wont facilitate tgem all and mexico will decapitate them after they take their wallets. Venezeula is a test to see how people react under certain circumstances. Thats why the currency is shit. Its a plan to see how humans react to certain situations. Also they are pushing the same marshall law,agenda in every,country via the immigration forced by the eu. Yup - looks like Maduro is determined to make Venezuela into a South American North Korea.

But there is a problem there - the mentality of Venezuelans is far different from North Koreans.

Disarming the population while arming his loyalists is the first way for making it work. Next are probably genocidal tendencies and mass-murder of the opposition. However Venezuela is not as isolated as North Korea and it does not have nukes.

If he pisses of enough people, enough pictures of atrocities get out, then virtually almost all South American countries will sanction military action. The US in combination with other countries will simply oust him by force. He can up his crumbling military to 2 mio. soldiers - it will not help at all.

Going the North Korea route of abject terror with militarism will not help him stay in power. Sanctions have already been imposed by the US, other countries will follow suit.

His other two foreign allies (China and Russia) are letting his hand off. That only left Cuba as his only ally. The economy sink depper with each second, and the hunger grows in the populace. The last protest left a good amount of death people, and now the OEA have grown some balls and are demanding some declaration about that.

As for a military intervention, i dont see it posible....yet. If shit finally hit the fan, i can see Brasil and Colombia trying to put some order, with Argentina, Peru and Chile support.

When Chabes started losing his grip, he requested help and Cuba sent more agents to avoid losing it's favorite parasitic host.

I expect even more DGI agents to arrive in Caracas to uphold Maduro's regime.

Stefan Molyneux says all the time, when situation in a country start going bad, the high IQ population flee, this is why the Venezuelans in USA tend to be middle class high IQ, then what you have left back in the country is the low IQ population which is easy to control.

In all seriousness, the fact that Venezuela has the world's largest proven petroleum reserves would make this a complicated proposition. Who might care? OPEC... OPEC member states motivated by individual interests (Russia and Saudi Arabia in particular)... globalist puppet masters who have only seen their hegemony in SA grow over the past several decades... corporations heavily invested in shale gas infrastructure in North America... the list goes on. Might even have the potential to become the western hemisphere's own Syria in some respects.
