In any case, and it should please many here, it might very well be a Jewish name, kind of the Spanish-Venezuelan version of a Betsabe Judith Raus(schnell). That should make the situation even more interesting: Maduro had Betzabeth killed, so isn't he somehow antisemitic? Matter of fact, one wonders why no such accusation has been leveled at Maduro yet, considering his alliances with Turkey and Iran.

When both choices are shit, we Lusitanians say: let the Devil come in and choose. Seems appropriate. Also seems like the Devil has chosen already, they don't call America 'the great Satan' for nothing.

Also, holy cow those are some beautiful milkers.

Honestly, Leonard, see the last few posts of our dorogoi you know whom here. Generic one-liners consisting of "muh petro-dollars". Does sound like bot postings to me, yes. Dodgy

As for myself, since you're asking, I don't support a global intervention per se, just a quick ecological missile strike on Maduro, before he starves half of his poor people to death, and de facto ruins Cuba (and huge Spanish and French investments, in the coming process).

I mean, in the last month, Maduro has been responsible, indirectly but undoubtedly, for massive losses of business in Cuba. Cuba is now hit with the cancellation of Helms-Burton exemption (a law known by name by every Cuban in the street), and shall not receive its necessary oil anymore: all of this because Maduro refused to negotiate or step aside. Maduro should have resigned three months ago and put someone in charge, before the rise of Guaido, so Maduro is a clumsy traitor even to his own camp.

So anyway, if you are anti-Globalist, you should be preoccupied that the Cuban economy and hence, government, might be destroyed (quoting President Trump: full blockade on its way), because of Maduro.

Concerning the Russians, much respect to them, but as a native European I would prefer to see them helping us out in Western Europe, rather than seeing them disturbingly backing a fat exotic dictator. I might write someday on how President Putin has (allegedly) 2 groups of people advising him, one of which being the old-soviet open-border-communism group (the pro-Maduro group). Think about it: the left flank of V. Putin's advisers should be thwarted, as it is a globalist-communism group.

I don't know that a simple missile strike would end with anything other than another burly union leader getting drafted to lead the continued Chavist slide towards equality.

Former "humble" president Pepe Mujica made the local rags for saying the people spooled around the tank treads should have known better than to fuck with a tank...

I suspect most everyone is still underestimating how incredibly popular Maduro is among the majority of the Venezuelan population happy to see everyone else lowered to their level.

For a parallel, just about everyone in Uruguay worth talking to despises the lefty Frente Amplio government making the country poorer. There however is a large portion of the population that is poor and just like to see other people get fucked. Generations of losers honestly believing that one person's success is illegitimate because someone must have stolen their equal birthright. Stealing is also a legitimate form of sacred trabajo for this demographic. Uruguay was never quite as rich or urban as pre-Chavez Venezuela and this demographic is ~35 percent of the population. I can see it being the 60 percent that Maduro won with in Venezuela.

The problem Maduro presents is that he is democracy's final boss. If someone supports democracy, equality, and everyone having the franchise they are a hypocrite if they reject Maduro. Rejecting Maduro delegitimizes the voices of the poor who just want to see a world that more closely matches their capacity for understanding.

International Pantsuit and their every bit of biogoop that falls out of woman is sacred dogma seems to hate that Maduro is what the endpoint of their agenda looks like. Power invested in one of the few masculine men while the other masculine men viciously shove the voter's will down the country's throats. Before Guaid贸 ordered shots fired this week, Maduro didn't have to arrest Guaid贸 to protect his power because... Maduro is popular in Venezuela. Many of the troops taking Guiad贸's orders in the morning didn't realize the orders were to rebel. Once they did they returned to their regular units. Carlota airbase ended the day still with Maduro's folks denying Guiad贸 and the CIA their much desired beachhead.

I sympathize with the Venezolanas who hate where their country has gone, but the problem is not Maduro personally. The problem is democracy. Maduro will likely keep holding on to power to his own surprise and that of everyone else so long as incredible effort is not brought down to remove him. The element of surprise is gone, Guaid贸 and the CIA failed with their easiest shot.

I have known that Chavez and Maduro ran the country into the ground with broad popular support over numerous election cycles. However, I don't know how much popular support Maduro retains after the destruction of the oil industry, and the hyperinflation, power brownouts, shortages of goods and medical supplies, high crime rate, etc.

I understand Maduro had to fake election results this last time, because he didn't have enough legit votes. Even with this, I wouldn't be surprised if the people who voted for this socialist paradise are still in favor of Maduro. Like SJWs everywhere else, they probably are immune to reality, and they continue to believe the capitalists are to blame for all their problems.

If so, I say to let them get their socialism good and hard, and to drive the refugees back into Venezuela. Let them have what they voted for, and let them fight it out themselves when they are ready to end it.

Maduro has no popular support, but the fact is the heads of the Armed Forces are all with him.
He麓s bought all of them and now it麓s too late for any of them to grow a conscience and do the right thing, because that would mean facing trial after the fall of the communist regime.
The Venezuelan population is fucked. Rebellion is useless because they are unarmed.
The only way to end this government is through war, but the US won麓t invade in fear of Russian retalliation.

Wrong, Brazilguy, Maduro has a fairly wide base of popular support at home, as BBinger mentioned. Your opinion there is probably biased by the fact that most Venezuelan expats in Sao Paolo, Miami or Toronto are heavily anti-Maduro.

The election results aren't fake, in fact their elections might be less fake than US elections, where for example Sanders got royally shafted in the primaries (he might have beaten Trump in the general actually), and GW Bush stole the 2004 elections by tampering with the election servers using a man in the middle (MIM) backdoor hack from Karl Rove's servers in Kentucky to flip the Ohio result and swing the entire election:

In many ways, elections in a glorified red banana republic like Venezuela are actually a lot less crooked than in the US... Maduro got a higher percentage of their registered voters than did Trump, Macron, Turdeau or May, that is a fact.

Mike Connell, Karl Rove IT head, the guy who run that hack and flipped Ohio, was offed in a small plane crash a week before he was to testify as a star witness in a trial incriminating the Rove GOP machine. It's not like the Clintons are the only swamp crime family out there...

Maduro's support is eroding due to the economic hardships, at this rate he will probably lose the next elections fair and square, and be ousted without foreign interference beyond the current sanctions. However any military intervention by Yanquis or even by a CIA merc brigade and all bets are off, as it would trigger a nationalist response which would bolster support for Maduro.

I think the neocon bunch in charge is too impulsive to see this, they just can't help it. As well, US policy is going to heavily favor chaos and civil war in Venezuela over a more stable, independent petro-state that is in the Russo-Chinese political orbit, especially now that the US has achieved oil/energy independence.

And this is the reality. Colombians and Brazilians aren't invading jack shit for the US and still the US would be the major power here and nothing less.

This is why they're so hell bent on turning the screws because its worked so well in other countries but only this time their guy is at ground zero! What could possibly go wrong?

The people demanding the US invade can't possibly be where the conflict could start. The country would be destroyed and US soldiers will pay a heavy price.

As I denounced on this thread several times, Nerves-of-Steel-But-Fat-Belly Maduro is about to destroy the economics and resources of Cuba.

I mean, now ExxonMobil has pressed charges, drawing on Helms-Burton, against CuPet and Cimex. And it' s just the beginning of many very high-potential lawsuits to be implemented against Cuban ports, airports, etc, because of Maduro.

So Maduro is now a negative-value asset for Cuba. He sends no petrol, and is about to ruin the last functional Cuban industries, having spurred the USA into very harsh retaliations against Cuba.

So, well, who is profiting from Maduro surviving? Russia? Not really Russia, as Guaido is willing to respect the existing contracts with Russian oil companies (he would have to, in any case, by law). And anyway, Maduro has not been able to pay back the Russian oil companies, for a long time. He borrows money from Russia, tons of, and does not pay back: a negative asset.

Only Turkey is (marginally) profiting from Maduro, as Venezuelan Chavista mafiosi are diverting tons of gold to Turkey. Plus, the slavic Wagner Group gets a meager fifteen millions bucks from Maduro, but it's peanuts in the grand scheme of things... Anyway, except some Turkish factions, the various State actors involved are not benefiting anymore from the survival of Maduro.

If I had to bet, therefore, I would bet on Maduro getting assassinated by one of his caretakers or bodyguards. By a smart Cuban officer (following orders) or a Wagner mercenary (when time has come and Vladimir Vladimirovich has obtained what he wants in exchange).

So I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the meeting with mister Lavrov is to negotiate what V. Putin wants from the US in exchange for a Wagner mercenary terminating Maduro. Good trade.
And logically, if I were the Cuban president, I would therefore quickly negotiate with the US, to be the first to (secretly) give the order to kill Maduro (before the Russians kill Maduro first).

After all, the first one who kills Maduro, will get huge favors from the USA: food for thoughts.

Crowder is a pathetic shill, he was exposed by Owen Benjamin, who used to work with him.

Maduro is winning, because he showed a lot of restraint. The coup plotters wanted to bait him into megaslaughter newsreel money shots, but he didn't bite, his troops didn't mow down the crowds and the coup perpetrators.

Crowder is lying here by claiming that "defenseless citizens are getting run over by tanks" or that Maduro is "slaughtering civilians". There's far worse repression of completely peaceful protestors going on every week in Paris, a dozen killed and hundreds maimed, shot in the eyes with plastic bullets, you don't see that on Fox or CNN.

So now according to Crowder, Maduro will be the tyrant that is running over his people with tanks庐", same as Assad is the tyrant who is "gassing his own people庐", and they'll repeat this mantra ad nauseum in order to nudge the masses to support the next trillion dollar invasion campaign, I mean we can't let those poor people get run over...

The globalists want their money shot psyop that they can plaster all over CNN-Fox-MSNBC (they are exactly on the same page here with people like Crowder) so that they can paint the Maduro government as Hitler and Stalin rolled into one. Last month it was the aid truck they burned themselves, now it's the story of citizens run over by tanks. In fact, no one was seriously injured there, the truck drivers pushed back after the rioters tried to pry their doors and get to them:

https://www.veteranstoday.com/2019/04/30...rotesters/

Crowder implied this was some kind of horrible mass killing event, saying he couldn't show the video, when in fact no one got seriously hurt. Agressive rioters were playing a cat and mouse game with the armored vehicles, and not getting shot for this. One guy in a white shirt did get bumped aside by the truck, but we see him getting right up in the video.
Once Was Not 路 2019-05-07 13:52:00 路 #1558
I saw a video where one of those armored vehicles was covered in flames. It's just like Ukraine. Peaceful Molotov Cocktail throwing protestors brutally oppressed and brutalized by police/military/whatever trying to keep the peace. Intervention now.

This is a different video. The one I saw was from the event where they supposedly ran over people.

Here is another angle of the runover.

Poor Maduro can't even fix his helicopter.

I mean, reportedly, the assassination of Maduro by (a faction of) his caretakers, was about to happen just a few days ago. His helicopter was rigged to crash, and it did crash, reportedly killing everyone on board.

But as it is South America, a certain level of amateurism Dodgy is to be expected: so, reportedly, Maduro noticed a few too many people eagerly recording the chopper with their cellphone, when he was about to climb aboard.

Maduro may be fat and on borrowed time, but he's not stupid, having been trained at a good school on the isla. So, Maduro thought it was suspicious and climbed aboard the spare helicopter. Thus displaying the kind of luck and cunning that kept helicopter-wary Evo alive.

The mustachioed dude will indeed be hard to terminate, one has to give him some grudging respect on that. He's got the honed instincts (and expressionless face) of a heavy seasoned hyena. I bet he does not even eat before someone tastes his meals. Probably has found a way to avoid Lugo-grade radiations too. Sad.

Anyway, I think the best solution would be for the Russians to trade Maduro's life for the satisfactory implementation of the Minsk protocol, or some other deal. Or for the Cubans to trade Maduro for the resuming of oil shipments, duly guaranteed by Guaido-Lopez. Whichever comes first.

Maybe a joint Cuban-Russian/USA agreement, would do. Along the lines of:

we send Maduro to Punta Cana or the Isla Juventud (to keep company to dear Florencia), and in exchange the US kinda normalize the frozen situation in Ukraine, and guarantee enough oil delivered by Guaido to Havana or Cienfuegos. That would be the climax of... the art of the Deal. Everybody happy (including Maduro, who might find peace in the other world).
