Express regret for the harm that has happened, but don't not express any regret for any harm that you've caused. You have caused no harm, and shall never admit to doing so.
Express more regret that your words were twisted, that American high school teachers are so decrepit that their graduates don't know what satire is, and that so many people in these happy times made themselves miserable by believing lies about you.
You're not the only one saying this.. but No! No apologising, no playing the victim and no admitting of mistakes or regret.
You can make the media out to be the bad guy, but we all know men don't get a lot of sympathy from trying to be the victim. Remain strong and positive. It's YOUR press conference so you can answer questions however you want and bring up the main points of neomasculinity.
Make a short statement at the beginning of the press conference explaining how you are not a rapist or a rape advocate.
Include some subtle criticism of the media for not doing ANY research at all and lying to their massive audience.
Imply how ridiculous and stupid people must be to think that 'rape advocates' are a real thing, or that they could have any effect on laws about rape.
Basically, read out your FAQ you did recently at the beginning of the press conference. Then explain you don't want to answer the same questions, but some might try to ask you anyway. Those people you can then either ignore or you can repeat your same answer.
This hopefully will limit the amount of scumbag questions they will or can ask you, and only lets them ask more inoffensive questions.
Good luck finding a new venue and with the press conference, Roosh. I don't know DC so hopefully someone else can help with that..

My apologies. My words were ambiguous.
There's a way to express regret at what happened, while declaring that you did nothing wrong. That's what I'm going for.
Also, be very focused on questions that contain phrases like "poor word choice" or "your regrettable actions". When those questions happen, instantly declare, "There was no poor word choice." Then ask for examples.
Inevitably, you'll get a single paragraph, quoted out of context. Reply, "Any stupid journalist can remove a paragraph from any essay, to make it look bad. Smart, honorable journalists know they're not supposed to do that."

RE: Roosh to give Press Conference in Washington DC Hotel on 6 February 2016 @ 7pm
Here are a few thoughts for Roosh.
First, be impeccably well dressed and groomed. This hardly needs to be said on the forum, but the importance of this cannot be overstated.
Second, get as much sleep as possible between now and tomorrow evening. You want to both be and look fresh and sharp.
The press conference should start with a brief opening statement (no more than 5-10 minutes). The statement should touch on the following points:
-- The last week has seen a veritable feeding frenzy in the media against Roosh and his readers and followers. Virtually every news story has contained nothing but slander, exaggeration and outright lies.
-- This incredible feeding frenzy has been occasioned by nothing more than the desire of civilized, like-minded men to get together for a social hour to meet each other, make new friends and talk.
-- The most insane slander concerned the absurd, lunatic idea that either Roosh himself or any of his followers are "proponents" of rape, or want it to be "legalized". Some news stories went so far as to say with a straight face that men were going to be meeting to discuss "rape strategies". This would have been funny in its sheer idiocy if it weren't so despicable.
-- Let it be clear once and for all: neither Roosh nor any of his followers support "rape" or call for it to be legalized; nor have they ever called for any such absurdities. The whole idea is based on a single piece published by Roosh about a year ago. This piece was completely obvious satire, meant to be obvious to a ten year old. Not a single one of Roosh's readers or followers has ever taken that piece to be anything but a joke; if they believed it was serious, they wouldn't be his friends or followers anymore. The reason no "disclaimers" were put on the article before the recent media feeding frenzy is that obvious satire does not require "disclaimers", in the same way that a comedian does not preface every joke or gag by saying "this is a joke". It is a sad commentary on the state of things as they are that a disclaimer became necessary.
-- Neither Roosh nor any of his followers are anything but normal, law-abiding citizens. Not one of us has been accused of breaking any laws, accused of "rape" etc. Instead, it's the online agitators who have inflamed this feeding frenzy that have issued explicit death threats and calls for violence against Roosh and against the planned meetups. This was the reason they had to be cancelled, because the safety of the participants could not be guaranteed. Journalists who are supposed to report the news effectively acted as agitators and went so far as to publish Roosh's home address where his family lives. This insanity must stop.
-- It is notable that this fake, trumped-up feeding frenzy against normal peaceful men is occurring at the same time as there is an actual rape epidemic in Europe, with truly alarming numbers of crimes including rapes being committed by migrants. For whatever reason, a lot of the media seems disinterested in reporting actual, physical rapes and more interested in engaging in a baseless witch hunt.
-- Finally, to all those hoping for an apology, there is none forthcoming. Neither Roosh nor any of the like-minded men he associates with have done anyone any harm, nor have they meant anyone any harm. We have nothing to apologize for and we will continue to meet with each other and discuss ideas of mutual interest as and when we like. We are proud to be free-thinking men in a free society,
Open to questions. All answers should be calm, polite, firm, and relentlessly on message. No apologies, but also no jokes or anything that can be twisted or misinterpreted in any way.

Appeaser. We don't care for 'quick pointers' on appeasement here.
The correct action is exactly the same as Donald Trump and Ben Shapiro. Immediately go on the offensive and call them out. Cowering would cause a complete loss of face and destroy the reputation Roosh has built. Apologize for nothing and express regret for nothing.
Say specifically what the satire was about -- specifically naming famous false rape cases and convictions. Call them out on keeping muslim migrant rape in Europe hush hush whilst globally attacking a non-rapist for a single provocative article -- a politically motivated attack. Call them out on treating western men as the serf class, the scapegoats, whilst everyone else is beyond criticism.

As Lizard Of Oz, a prepared statement to that end. And as others have said, go on the attack. You can either say sorry like someone who has done something wrong; they will sense weakness and assume guilt. You do not have to state that you are the victim in a pathetic way, you simply list everything that has been done to you by the mob and the media, many of which are outright illegal, and question their hypocrisy. Call out every single journalist who has lied. Trump it "LIED/LIAR". Read verbatim some of the threats against you and the names of the perpetrators. Then proceed to destroy their narrative before them all.
I know he gets away with a lot because he is gay, but Milo routinely goes on the attack and triumphs in the face of militant feminists and mainstream media frothing at the mouth. Putin responds to BBC journalists with statements like "Are you an idiot?" followed by firm, logical destruction of their narrative and hypocrisy. I know it is easier for me and all of us to say, but this is a great opportunity for you. You have proven time and time again through your travels and achievements that you are stronger, that you are more intelligent than they are. It is within your capability to destroy them with an aggressive attacking stance in a firm, logical, collected manner.
And yeah, get someone on your side to film the entirety.
