Mum-of-four Sabrina Hopkinson sent 16-year-old Corrina to her local McDonald's restaurant to buy food for the family.
But Corrina alleges that when she asked for the meals a girl behind the counter shouted to the kitchen: "Six cheeseburgers. I'm not joking this time. This fat woman wants six burgers".

The embarrassed youngster says she was left in tears as other staff members laughed at her in the branch on Eastern Avenue, Shoreham, West Sussex.

Police were called to the restaurant following the incident and McDonald's carried out an investigation. The fast food giant now says the allegation is "entirely false" and did not take place.
Livid Sabrina, 37, who used to work in McDonald's, said: "Normally we have home-cooked meals, but once in a while I let them have a treat.

"I gave my daughter some money and said they could go down and get a few burgers because it was the holidays.

   

I just consider the story funny. That's why I share it. I wonder how those home cooked meals look like.

I read the story before seeing the picture. They looked pretty much how I expected them to look. The mother should have just let the girl cry. Who knows, her shame at being so fat just might have motivated her to hit at treadmill.

come on. you gotta imagine walking into a Mickey D's and saying "6 cheeseburgers plz!" grinning ear to ear, with double chins on full display.

People need a sense of decency. Shoulda sent the 10 year old kid instead. If he's fat, he's not "fat," he's just "chubby."

That picture is inaccurate. They would not be able to swim due to the large amounts of blubbrt each one has. They would instantly float to the surface like a bouy.

Read the article, the Police were called by McDonalds management after the girl's mother's partner went to the "restaurant" to complain about the teasing. The girl did not call the police, McDonalds did.

To be honest, this is pretty much a non-story. There are millions of equally ( to the family pictured here) of overweight mothers and teenage children in the Uk, so much so that it has become the norm. Those women pictured would not be considered fatter than average in the UK. And yes, they would all be able to attract men easily.

It's an out of control obesity epidemic but the thoughtless comments of one fast food worker won't make any difference.

Since when has a server at McDonalds ever yelled the order back to the cooks, sounds like BS. Plus if you work at a place like that you would see fat people ordering stupid shit all day long.

And this story definitely never happened. The mother used to work there, probably some retarded 'revenge' plot for an imagined slight, like firing her for getting stuck in the doorway for a week.

A couple of months ago, I went into the convenience store to buy a snack, a bag of potato chips. The Sri Lankan checkout girl, who I enjoy a bit of banter with, looked at me, then looked at my tummy. In a joking and good-natured manner, she told me I was starting to get chubby and that I didn't need to buy chips. She wasn't being rude, just playful in the way that non-Western girls are. I'm sure that if she had always known me as a chubby guy she wouldn't have said anything, but she had noticed that I had put on a bit of weight over the time she knew me.

I wasn't at all offended. I actually thought her honesty was cute and funny. However I did make a mental note that I was being perceived as a chubby guy and something needed to be done. Since then, I have not returned once to buy snacks.

Fat shaming is as powerful as it is helpful.

Fat victim groups had a pretty weak 2015 with all the gay marriage, trans-acceptance, rape survivor, and immigrant/refugee discrimination stories dominating the attention in media for the prized victim group. I was hoping 2016 would be the year news stories on fat discrimination would finally go away.

I have to agree with Horus. Look at the baleful hunger in those eyes. She won't be content with just the soul though. She is the kind of girl who wouldn't suck a dick. She would eat it. . . EAT IT. "Home cooked" = reheated McDonalds burgers because they went cold since that Category 5 kaiju took too long waddling home. Hasn't the government thought that the street repair bill is part of the reason the country is bankrupt?

Also: to have a 16 year old that fat is child abuse.
