Am I the only one who thinks there won't be any collapse, economic or otherwise? Things are just going to be grudgingly slow, feminism will become more miserable, and societies will just keep printing cash to keep up the party.

2024 hits and the first sexbot comes out. The company that makes them lets you "customize" her and most men end up picking thin petites or busty women. It's obvious what men's preferences are by the shear sales numbers.

A few years go by and male attention is gone. No more thirst online, no more cat calling, nothing.

Feminism then goes through a 5th wave. This time, it's to make women more appealing to men. They give up their places in the work force and eventually return to the kitchen. Nature ends up dictating that the most herby of the bunch fall in love with their robots, removing their genes from the gene pool while those that want families start having kids, lots of them.

Meh lets throw in a world race war and some sexbots to boot. Makes things more interesting.

Everyone is in the game. Even the socially awkward omega who can only stare creepily at women from a distance is in the game. Even if he never gets laid, his actions serve to up the price of the female commodity. Take him out of the equation and no one will notice. But there's millions of guys like him out there. Looks like this is gonna go down one of two ways:

1) Islam takes over the west and we see a complete loss of western culture (bad and good) but a firm return to patriarchy, as well as the establishment of polygamy, making these sexbots unnecessary.

2) Islam somehow does not take over and the sexbots become commonplace. Lesser men will drop out of the game entirely, leaving women free to continue chasing the alphas they always wanted, just with no more beta male thirst.

Of course, option 2 depends largely on the collapse of western society either not happening or being relatively small in scope (non Mad Max-esque).

Should be interesting either way!

Are you kidding? You're talking about the exact men who built our civilisation. They might not be the leaders, nor the directors of large amounts of capital, but the average beta male is the true backbone of the world; and for every high T man at the top whose risk-taking lead to the a new continent being colonised, or walking on the moon, there's a hundred more high T men at the bottom who are violent criminals.

On the topic of sex-bots though, it's doubtful whether they'd be a "good" thing. They would ostensibly reduce women's power in the sexual marketplace, but how much is hard to tell. If it was a large effect, the social stigma attached to their use would quickly become enormous. Also let's be realistic: list every trend you don't like in Western Civilisation. How is the addition of sex-bots going to improve any of these situations? Seems more like another can of kerosene for the fire of social atomisation to me...

I checked youtube in order to get mor information about these robots and they look like display dummies. When the robot talks it sounds like you hear someone trough speaker phone.
It probably makes noises like a vacuum cleaner and smells very different to a woman.

It might be a good masturbation tool but no way these robots can replace real woman.

I imagine proper sexbots are still a couple of decades - at least - away. In order to make anything that can pass for more than a sophisticated doll they need to move past at least two major hurdles - something close to natural motion (I was surprised when I say a video recently of a robot walking, still far from moving like a human but it was a hell of a lot closer than I would have expected, and it was on rough terrain) and software that can adequately simulate some types of human behaviour and interpret enough from its surroundings to engage appropriate responses.

Lifelike looks and sound are obviously going to be the very least of the problems, and are almost at workable level now I think (I haven't seen one of those RealDolls in anything but pictures, but for a doll or a robot I think they already look pretty impressive - and would obviously be much more so if they were actually paired with natural motion).
Speech like through a speaker phone? Well, that's obviously just a simple matter of putting decent speakers in the robot, and couple them with natural speech engines which can sound very good these days (Siri and Google Now are well known examples, but I think I've heard a few voices in other text-to-speech software that sounded even more natural).

The robot us a choice for men, and for women to be a better choice than the robot, they need to have better personalities than something that has no personality.

They don't have confidence they can do that.

I was gonna comment on the political aspect of this and how it seems like women are genetically engineered to call for bans on things.
