^It's going to be hilarious.

The line between a black show being "whitewashed" and becoming "blacksploitation" is a line which can never be drawn to please anyone. What's more, white progs can't win EVER when commenting on it because not only are they "unqualified" to do so but they can't risk coming down on the wrong side of the blacksploitation/whitewash clusterfuck.

I look forward to seeing the progressive mob twitch and writhe like worms on a fish-hook over the whole issue.

What's amusing is one established character in the Black Panter comics is named : "Man-Ape".

They've conveniently renamed that character for the upcoming film. Rolleyes

It would have been an impressive / ballsy effort had they retained the name in today's social climate.

New trailer is out. Maybe she will get her ass handed to her by the alien creature. Looks like she might team up with the evil hipster with the long face. Tickets already sold out since a friend was trying to get them for me.

Wait...

So Luke becomes a Yoda stand in.
The young force sensitive from a desert world becomes the new Jedi.
Sith boy becomes the Vader stand in.
Said new Jedi has some sort of dalliance with the Vader stand in where hands are stretched out.
There's a new ugly as the Emperor stand in.
Chewbacca is still moaning like a git.
Droids provide the comedic relief as before.
There's a new dashing guy as the Han Solo stand in.
More AT-AT battles.
Yet this time there's a token black guy.

Star Wars : The Last Jedi?

Or Star Wars : Lazy Empire Rehash?

You left out the Space Furby stand-in for Ewoks.

Who plays the Death Star in this one?

Tried three times to watch "Rogue One" on a recent trip. Could not get into it, never finished it. Boring story and not a single sympathetic character (of course, I never got to the later scenes with Vader...).

It seems like every new Hollywood movie these days is just a rehash of old ideas with a feminist/SJW spin on it.

I might Torrent this new Star Wars movie but definitely won't be paying to watch it.

Trailer looked genuinely shitty.

Kylo Ren is still a slim fit vegan version of Darth Vader and lady jedi whose name no one remembers has the force running through her gurrl power veins.

PS: Why is the music from trailers almost always the same, with those dark piano "pings" in the background? Bond, Avengers/Marvel, This piece of crap, etc..

That trailer doesn't look interesting at all.

The Feminist Awakens was by far the worst Star Wars movie ever made. I drove a few hours down to Orlando to watch it with a friend and totally wasted my time and money; the series is dead. This one looks like it's more of the same leftist guurl power trash. I'll catch it when it gets to Red Box.

Just saw the trailer. Haven't seen the last couple of Star Wars, they were already bad enough with rattail teen Vader ten years ago, and now they're even worse with the SJW pollution on top of that.

So ...THIS GUY is now one of the main characters?!?

My 13 year old son flat out refuses to watch the new Star wars.He loves the old Star wars.We saw Rouge one and he was off it...the chick thing got to him.In fact none of his mates like it either.
He loves Rambo ,the Dirty Dozen and Eastwood though so I must of done something right.

RE: Star Wars does not need lead "strong" females characters
I used to collect comic books when I was younger, and I've always had a soft spot for the Star Wars franchise as well.

Sunday the final Justice League trailer came out. As a DC fan, one character in particular, I'm pretty hyped for that movie. So far Warner Brothers has managed to keep most of the plot under wraps. The second trailer made references to Green Lantern, but the third trailer shows no signs of one (I've got my own theories about a GL in the movie).

Watching the Justice League trailer had me like:

A lot of comments on Youtube that the "Star Wars trailer is gonna blow the Justice League trailer away", and on and on...

I watched the Star Wars trailer this morning.

A. When she stops the lightsaber against the rock, the handle isn't pointed in the same direction as the blade and the rock isn't illuminated beyond an After Effects Glow effect and some color adjustments of the highlights. When she first ignites the saber, there's no light casting on her clothes or skin. It's 2017, a kid with a bootlegged copy of AE can do a more realistic saber effect. Hell, you can buy an LED saber that would produce a physical effect and wouldn't require any work in post.

You think they'd at least try to get the FX right for a SW movie.

B. Luke, the ultimate Jedi master, the only Jedi to ever master all force powers and saber styles, is now afraid? Come on, at least keep some consistency in the characters. But I guess Luke has to be scared and Rey has to be brave.

I`m still curious of Snokes identity though. Maybe it`s Hillary?

I remember absolutely hating the Kylo Ren character once I saw the annoying weakling beneath the mask. Looking at that guy's stupid face (sorry, Adam) almost makes me throw up. Sorry not sorry, if you're in the spotlight, you get criticized. That's easily the worst casting decision of all.

Get your passport ready!

Look - the actor can play. He is 6'3 and muscular, but that never shows in the movie. He could play a badass character, but that would be too much heterosexual white male privilege, so they have to show him more like an insecure whiny kid who bashes equipment when he is angry. Also he is on some weird typical Disney trip where the parents must die (in many other Disney movies parents die on screen). So with tears in his eyes he absolutely must kill his father and now mother. Maybe we find out that the Mary Sue is his sister, so in episode 3 he has to kill her, but rather kills Snoke.

With all the actors you have to remember one thing - they may be liberals, but they would play good characters if those were written well. Instead we have the black former Stormtrooper fighting a woman - she may be taller, but wasn't he trained since childhood and it is still a bloody woman.

Social Justice and Diversity officers will ruin everything. The crews will be all female, the women will flaunt their little penises around and the Mary Sue will be so powerful that Luke will be pissing in his pants.

That CGI Chewbacca in the trailer is pathetic. And they cut to the same static closeup of Carrie Fisher THREE times? Looks like they really want to show that she's in the movie, but they didn't get a lot of footage of her.

New? You cannot be serious.

You Star Wars fanatics have always been off the charts nuts. Getting married while waiting in line for tickets. Camp outs. Colored hair before it was SJW uniform. Saber fighting in public.

Loser shit. Always has been.

Just watched that trailer. How if the fucking hell can you guys stomach that shit enough to even waste 5 dollars renting it later?

Shit looks like a generic as fuck space movie for teenage girls or something. Like Dora the Explorer Goes to Space or some shit like that. The trailer was atrocious. Moves from one obscure scene to the next giving the viewer no idea what the fuck is going on. I never watched a single Star Wars movie and I have no idea what was going on in that trailer. How can they expect to pull in new fans with screenplay like that?

Fuck all that. Again, how can any of you watch this? Seriously? Not judging, just curious. Unless you guys are loaded up with the merch, costumes, and figurines how can you watch that stuff?

No, it's Jar Jar Binks. We only saw the Gungan larval form in the prequels - Snoke is Jar Jar after a half-century and a few molts.

Well, I saw the trailer today. My thoughts are "Oh look, they're rehashing the Empire Strikes Back this time!". From the AT-AT attack to Luke being Yoda and Rey as Luke with a hint of Snoke in there.

I might go to see it, but when the crowd has died down.
