This a thousand times.

And you know who else is? Gay men. Lived with both.

You know why? Because there is one thing women and gay men never do: Bring women home. So they are happy to present a shithole to visitors.

If you are living with lesbians god help you.

I could go on at great length with personal experiences like others in this thread, but it comes down to this.

This.

Actually, the only reason I get any cleaning done is because I have some lady coming over.

I've had several. No problems here. I did my thing and they did theirs. They were all relatively sane and stable women so YMMV.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
Yes, I've had a girl roommate. It fucking blows. My general thoughts...

1. They won't shut the fuck up. You'll be sitting there in silence, doing nothing or maybe writing a thoughtful post on the RVF, and they feel the need to interrupt you.

"Hank, what are you doing?"
"Nothing."
[two minutes later]
"Hank, what time is it?
"Uh, 8:30."
"Ok, thanks."
[two minutes later]
"Hank, what are you doing tonight?"
"Nothing."
[two minutes later]
"Hank, do you like this TV show?"
"I don't watch TV."
[two minutes later]
"Hank, I shouldn't have eaten so much today."
"There's a gym down the corner."
[two minutes later]
"Hank, Hank? I'm talking to you. Why are your headphones in?"

2. They are passive aggressive and don't say what they're trying to say.

"Hey Hank... I know you like Cheerios, right?"
"Right..."
"Um, well, I like Cheerios too."
"Ok..."
"Well, perhaps there should be enough Cheerios in the house for us both to eat?"
"Oh, the Cheerios. Right. I got hammered last night and ate them all. Delish. I'll buy more this week."
"It's not about the Cheerios, it's about respect and this that and the other thing, and we need to talk..."
"Um, it's my house, I bought them for me, and no we don't."

3. There will be feminine hygiene products and clothes all over your house. All kinds of creams, hand washing shit, "I don't know what the fuck this is but it smells like flowers." The amount of physical things females own will turn your once clean and minimalist house into a clusterfuck of shit.

4. HAIR IN YOUR DRAINS. All your drains will become clogged, forever.

5. They think you give a shit about their silly inconsequential drama...

[Hank is on the phone trying to resolve an issue where millions of dollars are at issue]

"Hank, can I talk to you? It's important."
"I"m sort of in the middle of something, but what's up?"
"This guy on OkCupid sent me a message. He looks kind of cute. But do you think it's weird that he says he wants to suck on my toes? Should I keep messaging him?"
"I have no idea. If you like him message him, if you think he's creepy don't."
"Why can't I meet a man, Hank?"
[thinks to himself - "because you're overweight, boring, and vapid. Your expectations are also way too high."]
"I don't know. I'm sure there's a good one out there. I have to get back to what I'm doing."
"I bet you'd make a good husband, Hank."
"Sorry, I'm on the phone, I can't really hear you..."

At one stage was me and two gay dudes. Neither were bad blokes but nowhere else would I have learnt more first hand how the male homosexual lifestyle is a personal, emotional and cultural dead end.
One was quite young (just outta home) and the other was older (mid thirties) so the whole spectrum was observed.
It was actually great for bringing girls around, they were entertaining and zero competition.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
You'd have to watch out for the monthly cycles, it's one thing to handle the mood swings of a woman you're committed to, and another for a woman you're not.

My woman roomie after college was a friend from Germany, she actually was a neat freak and a bit too uptight about things like the one bit of hair in the shower stall. I was dating another girl that I was really into, so there was no drama there, but living with her for 6 months ended up pretty much ruining our friendship.

Their emotion is all over the place and if you make the mistake of hooking up good luck.
In addition , I would have to check her about exposed tampons in the bathroom. She even flushed them and the damn toilet would back up after I complained.

No common sense.
This will turn into a nightmare. It's happened to me years ago.

I lived in a shared house once before.

I don't recommend it unless it's absolutely necessary.

Random people in the same house as you is annoying. Some people make friends with their roommates but overall I found it just awkward. Your mileage may vary though; people who are warmer and more 'open' might actually find it enjoyable.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
There is a time and place for living in a shared house, I lived in a big one with 5-6 other roommates, and it was a lot of fun. I still keep up with some of these guys many years later. It's mostly a thing you do in your 20s, in college or right after. At the time I had gone back to grad school in my late20s-early 30s and lived there, I ended up going out with a very cute undergraduate girl that moved in there, and it was good while it lasted.

This setup is quite different from one where you share a 2bdr apt with a woman though, that is a bit more delicate of a situation.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had female roommates on 4 separate occasions. I will describe each.

#1) 5 bedroom house. 4 guys (including myself) and 1 girl. All in our early 20s. One of the guys ended up hooking up with the girl but didn't want anything serious with her. Soon after he started dating one of her friends which caused some drama. It made the living situation a bit weird at times but wasn't too bad. She eventually she broke her lease after a few months and moved out.

#2) 2 bedroom apartment. Myself (early 20s) and 1 girl (late 20s). It became obvious that she was interested in me but I'm pretty sure my actions made it clear I wasn't interested in her. I also had a girlfriend (and a couple hookups) who would stay over to reinforce that. Over time she became very passive-agressive and downright unpleasant to live with. After two months, I packed all my shit while she was at work and moved in with my girlfriend without telling her.

#3) 3 bedroom apartment. Myself (early 20s) and 2 girls (early 20s). I got along really well with Girl A and we would hang out regularly, Girl B was never home. While Girl A's boyfriend was in Europe, she began aggressively flirting with me. Eventually I let her blow me twice (she swallowed both times.) The blowjobs were great, but I wasn't attracted to her and I had a girlfriend (long distance) so we both agreed it wouldn't happen again. She started fucking some new guy soon after and everything was more or less back to normal. Then her 18 year old, way hotter sister came to visit one weekend and I ended up hooking up with her. Girl A was furious and it almost resulted in me moving out but she calmed down and I stayed. During this time, Girl B moved out and was replaced by Girl C. Girl A and Girl C did not like each other, whereas I got along great with Girl C. This created tension to the point where Girl A wouldn't talk or even look at either of us. It became so uncomfortable, we both gave our notices. Right before we moved out, I got a handjob from Girl C one night after she had a fight with her boyfriend.

#4) 6 bedroom house. 3 guys (including myself) and 3 girls. All mid-twenties. Everyone was cool and no drama. I had my eye on one of the girls but she had a boyfriend of 4 years. He seemed like a cool guy but then all of the sudden they split up. It took me a month, but I finally went for the kiss after an evening of drinking and we banged the rest of the time we lived together. It was awesome. Important side note to the story: Before we hooked up, she would give me such mixed signals that I almost pussied out and never made a move. But it turned out my instincts were right and she was into me the whole time. Don't be a pussy and go for it!

Take what you will from those experiences. I wouldn't rule out having a girl roommate. Guy roommates can be awful too.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I lived with a female roommate for a month at the end of summer. I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment with a random craigslist roommate and he ended up getting arrested and moved out. I gave my 60 days notice but a female friend of mine was leaving her place so she needed somewhere to stay for the final month I was there. I claimed the original roommate's security deposit for last months rent and didn't tell the girl so I got paid half of the apartments rent and stayed there for free the final month.

The experience was great and I wish we could have lived together in a new apartment. Were both early 20s, she had sort of a cute face but was a little chubby, the type of girl you would bang if you were blacked out drunk. My girlfriend was more attractive than her and they became friends so I didn't feel any sexual tension. That being said, if there I was I defused it by being making facetious advanced towards her all the time. I regularly made threesome jokes when my girlfriend was over. We had a good social circle so friends would come over and the roommate would cook cool meals for us. My girlfriend would take out the garbage and the roommate would do the dishes so I had it pretty easy. She was sort of spoiled by her parents so I think had we lived together longer she wouldn't have trouble paying the rent on time.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had good and bad experiences. Mostly bad though.

I remember going to look at a flat as a scruffy looking stoner teenager at the same time as a couple of pretty decent looking girls around the same age. I was shocked when the landlords rung me to say I was their preferred tenant. Apparently they had a problem with groups of girls flatting together and then all bailing owing rent and with the place in disrepair.

Several incredibly annoying things always seem to happen with females:

1. Kitchen hogging. Yeah yeah, we all know that's a woman's place. But I work 50+ hour weeks, and when I come home I'm ravenous. I always seemed to live with girls who got home first, then started cooking dinner and took forever. If I had a shower first or went to my room to chill out for a while half the time these silly bitches would decide to bake something right after dinner.

Of course the dirty dishes were still there the next morning too.

2. The laundry. Every female I've lived with has had the habit of leaving their clothes in the washing machine for hours/days after the cycle has finished. None of them owned a washing basket. I don't want to look like some panty-sniffing perv and it's not my job to deal with their laundry anyway. I can ask them to take it out but I'd end up doing that every time. Bitch, just dry your clothes straight away!

3. Other dudes. Because these sloots like to bang bad boys you end up having to be very careful about what valuables you leave around the house.

However, nothing is worse than living with multiple women. Women seem to lack the male ability to just relax and be civil with each other in a shared living situation. They simply cannot relate to each other on equal terms - expect constant gossip, pettiness, passive-aggressive behaviour and sometimes all-out screaming matches as they struggle to work out the pecking order amongst themselves.

The only positive I can think of is that they don't generally have 3+ cars like all my other friends.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've never had any issues. I've had a total of three since I've been in this house (about 6 months).

One who lived with her boyfriend in the room below me. Occasionally they would be bicker about shit but I never heard them fuck. The boyfriend was a bit of a prick though, he'd try to be helpful but was just annoying. They'd both smoke weed and neither had any ability to make a damn phone call so borrowed my phone a few times. Never socialised with them though but she seemed okay.

Other was an Indian girl who was on a works visa with some colleagues. They were messy, kitchen is always filthy but she was generally quite cool. Drank with them all a few times. Got an Indian flag with her and then her company sent her home. The other two men are still here though and the kitchen is still damn filthy. None of English people cook in the house because of the kitchen.

Last one I very rarely see. She been here about 3 or 4 weeks and only once did I see her where I could exchange a few words. Her boyfriend comes over every now and saw him only once too. She seems quiet and shy and had one of those voices that go along with it, sweet sounding.

What helps is there are two showers, one on basement floor and other on middle floor. All the women who lived here used the middle floor and I'd make the trip to basement. So never had any hair clogging issues.

With a houseshare you will never know what you are going to get. If its your own place and you want to make a little extra income then you have the ability to interview but where I live it aint like that. That landlady does all that and she is a right pain in the ass. Endless amounts of texts and visits cause she aint got nothing better to do.

Definitely considering moving though. To my own place where I can actual cook god damn food!

(08-15-2015 03:14 AM)Conscious Pirate Wrote:  Enough. They're fucked. Allow me to regale you with my tales of woe.

Currently living with a female housemate in the SJW heartland of Inner West, Sydney. She's early thirties, I'm late thirties. Been living in this current situation for about 3 months. The kindest thing I can say is that she is a nice person. So far. But it's kind of a by product I'm thinking, of the fact that she's the dumbest human being I have ever met. Like walking-liability type stupid.

After moving in I find out she's a raging alcoholic to the point of being black out drunk every night & she's started asking me to source other gear for her as well. The main house consists of 2 bedrooms & a large open living/dining/kitchen. When she is not at work, she is camped out on the couch watching TV, drinking & pulling bongs (when she can get her chubby mits on em - ). Most nights she sits up till all hours & will put away 3 bottles of $5 wine a night. Diet consists entirely of spaghetti bolognese (only thing she knows how to make) & oven baked crumbed chicken tenders which I often find burnt in the oven at 2am when I get up for a glass of water &/or a slash. Oven still on. The house has not one brick wall, it would go up in flames in an instant.

Upon investigation, I've realised that the camping out on the lounge in the living room is in part because her double bed is in fact, an inflatable "stay over" bed. No wonder. The couch is comfee as fuck. Not only that, but she also doesn't own a TV. So she uses the main house TV. ALL THE FUCKING TIME.

I spend most of my time in my room or out on the front verandah but when I have to cook, there she is. Usually asking me what I think about whatever lesbian drama or other rubbish she's watching. My standard answer (it's really rolling off the tongue now) is "I don't know, I don't watch TV." Which brings me to my next point. She goes on & on about being gay (boy haircut) & all the butch dykes who hit her up on whatever gross webite she's trolling for bitches on & why won't some hot femme chick fall for her etc. Drunk rants like these. She is super picky about women & hasn't been with one for years from what i can gather, but openly confesses to reward-fucking a dude who she dislikes but provides her with weed.

She's lazy as fuck too. The only thing she'll do is the dishes. And mop every other week. Also, she's just been given the arse from her dental nurse job because she keeps rocking up at midday. 3 warnings issued in 3 months at 32 years of age. The latest one was issued yesterday because she took last week off to visit her sick dog who was "dying" but "pulled through luckily." I'm starting to look elsewhere, moving in here was out of necessity not choice at the time.

This thread popping up again reminded me I need to do an update on the situation described above.

Said fat "lezzo" is still fat & gay, but now she's $2.5k in the hole on rent.

Here's how it happened.

After the 3 written warning her superiors at the dental clinic she wasn't turning up to, gave her the arse. But it happened like this...

CP: Hey fatlezzo! You got the day off?
FL: Oh hi, um yeah kinda. I'm sending out resumes.
CP: (knowing she makes less than $500/week and rent is $300) Shit, are you gonna be ok?
FL: yeah its all good, they love me & they've said that they will keep me on until I find something else.
CP: (trying to understand the existence of a boss like that) Really? Wow.

She was given the arse in July, but it wasn't until October that they finally realised she wasn't looking elsewhere & that her time was up (how do these useless cunts get a deal like that & then fuck it up also?). So all of a sudden she's at home all the time. The first 2 weeks she was ostensibly looking sending out resumes, hopeful of the one place that she could turn up to at 10am with minimal public transport changes. Hopeful = delusional. The bitch has to hold on to the walls to get 3m from her bedroom at the fridge when she's sober and the job she was sweet on was a "holistic" clinic. Laugh

She has only one friend left (I have been told by all her friends early on in my moving in here that they can't handle it anymore & have dumped her) who is the most retarded dude I have ever experienced in my life, Mardo.

Mardo (short for Martin, I'm guessing) is a 6 foot +, heavy set caucasian dude who lives with his mum (& off her grifted wealth) in Greenwich, Sydney. Quite a classy area. I raise that point to better illustrate this dickhead with my next.

He has a facefull of tuff stickers.

This silly middle aged idiot who lives with his mother in a bourgeois suburb of Northern Sydney has the most ridiculous face full of barely-better-than prison tatts all over his face.

So when FL falls, Mardo come to the rescue. Well sort of....

See, he's offered her labouring work (I know), but she's too fucked to do it even when she sleeps overnight on the job (the job is Mardo's mothers place - how convenient!). I have overheard numerous phone calls where she is berating him for trying to stick one up her while she's pissed (which she is never not). She speaks to me like he's a fuckwit (same dude she's reward fucking for weed) but spends 75% of her time over there.

There have been multiple incidents over the past 6 months where I have woken up in the middle of the night to find her in my room, at the base of my bed (with my GF lying next to me), screaming at me for "stealing her laptop" which she always happens to "find" the next morning, to just screaming at her mother (another useless cunt) or Mardo over money that they "owe" her.

The neighbours are now coming over the next day to check everything OK.

Thankfully, the lease holding flatmate who was away on business for most of the first 6 months has now wizened up that the game ($2.5k with no hope of employment) is hurting him. She went home to the Snowy Mountains for Xmas & the house has been peaceful for 3 weeks. Got an email from us pointing out the rent deficiency. She said she's be back on the weekend just past & heading to work on Monday. Monday was yesterday. No sign of her.

I will be looking to rent her room to a male in future. No exceptions.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had at least one girl in every house I've lived in since leaving home 10 years ago, except for stints living by myself. That being said I've never lived in a majority girl household and I never would.

My experience has been that girls rooms with be filthy but they are good with communal spaces except the bathroom. As has already been noted girls fill bathrooms with all sorts of products not to mention equipment from blow dryers to hair straighteners. There will be spilled makeup, moisturizers and balms all over the place and cords from all their gadgets everywhere. On top of that your shower wrack will be filled with various hair products, razors and scrubs while your drains will be forever clogged with hair. The bathroom bin will also be overflowing with discarded tampon wrappers, tissues/makeup removal wipes and razor blades.

Meanwhile girls rooms themselves will be pigsties with clothes all over the place to the point that most of the time you won't be able to see the floor. Some of it will be used but most of it will be quite clean but discarded as not suitable for whatever "look" she is going for today and of course as this took so long to decide upon she's always running late so none of the clothes ever get put back.

All that being said I don't mind living with girls. I can handle the bathroom messiness and how their room looks is their own affair.

The exception to the above is my current house mate, the girlfriend of one of my best mates. She is great. She is tidy, cleans all the time, keeps all her bathroom stuff packed away and leaves me to my own devices.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
The best living situations I've been in have been a few dudes and one girl. Having a chick around seems to keep everyone on their best behavior and keeping it to one girl limits the drama. The boyfriend of the chick I currently live with is actually a really cool guy and helped me close a major business deal.

Oh yeah. Had a chick roommate once. At first, it was great! She kept the place neat, and even cooked for us once in a while. Over time, though, it got bad...she left the place like a pig sty, and started wandering around in her sweat pants all the time. And the nagging! My god, the nagging! Finally, I divorced the bitch! RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I had a female roommate. I was 27 at the time, and she was in her late 40's or early 50's. It was also a rental situation. She owned the house, and I rented part of it. I had a nice bedroom and my own bathroom right beside it.

She threw me out after two months. It was a complete and total surprise. She then said why she wanted me out. It was for things like not taking out the trash enough, etc.--problems that could have been easily corrected if she had simply mentioned them. She also complained that she heard me yelling at my mother on the phone and was afraid I would yell at her.

I remember her saying during the conversation: "I want my house back." She definitely wanted to play the victim, which is how a lot women operate.

Another time, she had some friends over to play cards. I asked one of her friends how often they got together. She later asked me why I asked her friend that question.

Do not ever get into the roommate-tenant situation with a woman. I also had a roommate-tenant situation with a man that worked out great.

What's positively horrifying about what you've quoted there is that they are entirely unrelated to living together or dating a woman. Rather, they show a general lack of logic, of an ability to communicate and resolve problems, and demonstrates an overly emotional mindset that IMAGINES itself to be the victims of all sorts of manufactured grievances. AND WE WORK WITH WOMEN LIKE THIS EVERYDAY!! Any one of them could end our careers at any moment with an "imaginary" accusation". It's horrific. Whoever thought women should be allowed outside the domestic sphere was smoking it. In this regard, and perhaps only in this regard, radical muslims have it right. Women and men do NOT belong mixing unless they are fucking, and in that regard the man should control all aspects of the relationship. Better for them. I'll bet 40% of muslim women aren't on anti-depressants...

Double entendre?

Also, I had a total of four female roommates in uni. All were decent to live with and good friends. But I chose carefully.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had a good female roommate - my good friend's LTR. Asian but Americanized, cute but not even on my radar. She'd cook us colorful, spicy, fragrant Asian dishes better than almost any restaurant I've ever been to, and she was cool as shit too - she'd have no problems hanging out and blazing spliffs and guzzling beers with us and playing Rock Band and Mario Kart, she'd see me and my other roommate (who brought girls through) bringing in different chicks every few weeks and largely kept her mouth shut, and she would always do her best to keep the house clean.

My friend smartly married her. They have three children.

At the same time I also had a bad female roommate. Bear in mind in University we were all 19-22, and she was 26, a mature student. She was fugly but I'm almost 100% certain my other roommate (aforementioned in last paragraph, one of the best players I've ever known...once we had a competition for who can bang the most girls in a semester and no shame - he mopped me) banged her (he also banged her friend who was about a 7). Let's see...

- Preamble: she was a rich kid who never had to do anything herself - she spent her early twenties traveling the world on daddy's dime.
- She had beef with another roommate - once broke one of our cordless phones because she launched it at him and he dodged as it hit the wall. Me, the guy with the Asian LTR and the other player roomie had to mediate it 'three wise men' style (Apparently he objected and got pissed off and started fucking with her when she made a rude comment toward his sister when she visited, the oppression!)
- She always left the sink full of dirty dishes (we had a dishwasher) and bowls and plates half-full of half-eaten food on the counter. Bitch you don't even need to run the dishwasher, just throw your dishes in!
- Was a habitual food-thief. Never ever bought food, but had no problems whatsoever taking the food that the rest of us bought. My girlfriend at the time (who I dated for almost two years) had low blood-sugar (I think a side effect of the antidepressants she was on...why a 19 year old 8.5 who's 5'7 115 lb. with a C-cup, a fat ass and a beautiful face needs to be on these medications, I have no idea...) so I would make fruit salads with pineapple, blueberries, pears and strawberries for her (optimal blood-sugar = more energy = I could fuck her longer) - bitch ate one once after smoking my weed and had the nerve to act innocent when I aired her out (fruit, as we know, is not cheap), but nonetheless, she didn't do it twice.
- She was also a dinner-mooch. Whenever someone would come through with takeout, or was cooking a meal, she always tried to get in on it without paying.
- I'm not saying she had Bipolar Disorder...but in the 17 months she lived with us, one minute she was up, one minute she was down. Granted I'd met tons of girls like this (both in hindsight and in the present), but she was one of the most severe cases I'd ever seen.
- She'd ALWAYS try to befriend the scandies and 'She's alright but I'm just gonna fuck her 5-6 times and drop her' girls that me and my buddies would bring back from the bar or from class...though it's hard really for me to jam her up for this, because it's a chick thing (friend's Asian LTR also did this from time to time). I swear, you can tell chicks not to do this, but all it takes is one 'Oh my god, where did you get those shoes/that purse/that shirt!?', which then becomes 'Add me on Facebook!' to start it.
- As she was fugly (if my buddy truly did nail her...I understand why he kept it quiet. This girl was a 4/10, and she wasn't fat either, just ugly), I don't recall her ever bringing guys home...but there would ALWAYS be some random who no one in the house knew but her, crashing on the couch in the living room. Ask us for permission first, perhaps? Our girls would leave their purses and shit on the couch when they'd stay over, there'd always be weed busted on the table ready to smoke.
- She was a weed-mooch. It got to the point where we'd only blaze when she was out or ensconced in her room (where she spent most of her time after the first six months when she saw no one wanted to be around her). And, while I have no proof it happened, I think she nicked buds out of my bag a few times. Every 10ish days I'd pick up a QP (about 112 g), and I had that shit regimented hard - a few g's as tribute to each of the roommates that smoked (she was the recipient of this for a time until I realized the bitch had no respect), about 10 g (about a gram a day, heavy bongs during vid and movie sessions - free weed, yes my roommates loved me in case you needed to ask) for the house and the rest for resale was more than enough to make it back. I also had a pretty steady list of clients - one guy who'd grab a quarter every about 4 days (in two years I made about $3500 profit off him, the only person I would ever spot, this fucker was baked whenever I'd run into him yet he graduated his MBA course with honors), quite a few who'd get 1/8 a week, tons of people who'd get a dime every three or four days, various randoms buying small bags, and yes, even once or twice I had a few girls who would fuck me for free weed, things like that...but more than once I was like 'Hmm...I haven't smoked any more than usual or sold more than usual, I should have way more weed...'. I had kept my gear in the middle drawer of my dresser. After the third time this went down I replaced my door lock and tucked it into a square box and threw it under my bed near the back and marked each side of the box with a different shape (circle, square, x, triangle, we played a lot of PS3 in our house). Never happened after that. I can count the number of times she bought and paid for weed off me (usually when she visited her hometown for a few days) on one hand.
- I was the only full-time smoker in the house (a few of them smoked while they were drinking), she was a cigarette mooch. 'Oh, can I have a drag?', might as well give you a smoke. But when the cash was low she NEVER had smokes or never wanted to go get a pack.
- Also was a beer mooch. Not just me but all of us got beers nicked. 'Oh hey man, let me just pick up this 22 pack before I roll to your party', fuck off.
- She was with us for 17 months, before our landlord (that jerkoff...another time another post) booted her for bouncing three checks in a row, she just vanished, left a whole bunch of her shit. The rest of us heaved a sign of relief and we even had a 'bitch is gone!' dinner - Asian girl cooked a turkey, I did sweet potatoes and rolled a 6-gram joint, the rest of the boys bought the beer, a good time was had by all.
- EDIT: One of my other roommates was a nice guy but supremely beta, even though he was repulsed by her she pitched some of the most cringeworthy girl-game at him I've had the misfortune to witness.

Fucking bitch...

Coincidentally, when me and my best friend in the house struck out alone, the aforementioned girlfriend didn't so much as 'move in' but she started spending 5-6 nights a week over. A two bedroom apartment with one bathroom. I mean, it was cool before in the old house she's by 2-3 nights a week, but with her practically living there, in no short order was the bathroom a constant mess, the sink full of dirty dishes, my room floor covered with her clothes (this place had a basement laundromat she was too lazy to use unless I rode her ass), we're going over our monthly data and of course - trying to turn me and my friend against each other (failing at it).

I bounced her ass shortly after, but still got to bang her whenever I wanted to for almost a year. I've since instituted a policy where any girls I'm seeing are limited to 3 overnights a week maximum.

Here is the hierarchy of living situations:

Living with a good friend (or otherwise cool, likeminded guy) who is clean and responsible > living alone > living with a few guys > living in a mixed (guy and girl) house > living with women.

I know we extol the virtues of living alone here - and yes truly, it is awesome and once you pass a certain age (maybe 30) it's the optimal situation...but every guy just once - if you have a friend who is not only cool and has game who you get on with great, but is also clean, responsible, pays his bills and holds his end, should live with a good buddy (I lived with my best friend for a year and a half in my mid-late twenties, some of the best times of my life).
