Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I didn't find any threads on this topic but I'd like to see if forum members have had this experience.

My current roommate is moving out soon so I've been playing the field on Craigslist in hopes that another cool guy comes along and takes his spot.

The other day a good looking girl messaged me and is interested in checking out my place and possibly signing the lease to move in.

I hadn't initially intended on living with a girl but now I'm starting to think through all the potential positives and negatives of it. I'm 25 and I've only had male roommates so far.

Any advice from the forum on positives, negatives, and unanticipated situations from living with a girl? I did find a thread about hooking up with female roommates but that's not really my goal right off the bat. Maybe when she's about to move out. I'm hoping to get some advice on just the general experience of a roommate situation with a girl.

She will not pay rent. She will not give you sex in exchange for rent money. She will leave bloody tampons out in the open and will not take out the trash. Etc.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had a couple. If she's in her 20's and moving into your already set-up apartment then she'll likely start bitching about the things she doesn't like about it shortly after she moves in and treat the place like shit. If she's a bit older and has her own life, it has a much higher chance of working out.

The first female roommate who moved into my spare bedroom a few years ago was a grad student who liked to complain about "how small" the kitchen and bedroom were and "how easy" it got dirty, even though she saw the place beforehand and I warned her about all of these things before she moved in. She couldn't be bothered to clean any of the common areas, of course. She then got passive aggressive by doing things like talking loudly on her phone with her bedroom door open about "her crappy place" when she knew I could hear it from the living room and putting the AC on full-blast whenever I wasn't around (she wasn't paying utilities). I eventually kicked her out after she came home and trashed the place a few times after her drunken "girlsss nights" with her fat slutty friends and was more than 3 weeks late paying her rent after the third month and ignored my warnings.

The second female roommate I had earlier this year was a career gal in her 30's who traveled for her job all week and wasn't interested in any sort of drama or difficulty when she got home, so things with her worked out a lot better. She wasn't attractive (chubby, looked older than her age) so hooking up with her never crossed my mind, but she had a decent personality and didn't mind helping out cleaning every now and then when she was around. We still hang out and grab a beer every so often too.

My advice is to probably stick to a guy, but if you do want to try living with a woman I'd definitely go with a mature one with a career who you can bet won't be bringing in random dudes to bang every night. Regardless, screen them all very carefully.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I have.

It was a girl in her late 20s, a professional girl, a fine experience overall. She was very respectful and kind.

She was good looking but nothing ever happened with us, she was dating someone and so was I. When we would chat she was perfectly nice and cool, we didn't really hang out but she was fine to have around.

She paid rent and utilities on time with no problems of that sort at all. Pretty tidy too.

She never ate my food or took anything from me. She always had her own toiletries, got her own food, cleaned up after herself.

The worst thing was just that she took long showers.

One experience of course, but I was just fine with it.

In this day and age with so many bitch-made men around, just because someone is biologically a "male" does not mean that they will necessarily be masculine, accept responsibilities, be logical, or anything like that, so always try your best to focus on the individual. Even if men in general are more logical and more responsible, when you have a roomate you're not dealing with statistical averages, you're dealing with one particular individual, so screen that individual hard. If it turns out to be a woman who seems the best choice for you, do it.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
Having had female roomates before, Id advise you against it:

- She will skip rent or fail to produce it on time.
- She wont be tidy or clean.
- You will have to deal with incessant drama.
- You will have to deal with her rotation of hook-ups.
- You will constantly battle your white knighting instincts from kicking in.
- She will consume your food, booze, and/or drugs and give nothing in return.
- She will be a bitch to your women or girlfriends.
- She will go out of her way to prevent you from getting laid.

This is not a "perhaps if I choose the right girl" thing. This WILL happen. Be warned.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I wouldn't recommend a female roomate if its just 2 people in the apartment...ie you and a roomate. I had female roomates when there were 4-5 people renting in a college house and that was fine. When the bitches got lazy and dirty they could be shamed into shaping up on multiple fronts. if its you vs. a girl roomate she will try to take over the place if she's even 50% cunt.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
If you can, try to have your own place. Do not live with a woman you are not related to or fucking, it is irritating as hell. You are better off with a cool guy than a hot girl for a roommate, also never move in with a girl you want to fuck but have not yet fucked. I have banged several college girls who lived with guys that wanted to fuck them and moved in with them hoping to fuck, those guys looked crushed as I fucked the shit out of these chicks without paying utilities.

Yes, not worth it girls get pissy too easily for 1000 reasons unless you are banging them and keeping them in check. Banging your roommate is a terrible idea. Get a guy with a stable income, isn't planning to move soon, and is laid back.

Haven't you heard? Cohabiting with females lowers your testosterone. Dont do it! Get a roommate who is a guy with a lower SMV than you, make him your wingman, and you guys will spur each other on. Iron sharpens iron. Just like how women's ovulation cycles align while in female only groups, men's testosterone and manliness amplifies when in situations like prison, boot camp, and professional sports. It is natural steroids to be around other men your age when you are in direct competition with them for females. Living with women, unless your a pimp, will eventually turn you into a mangina. Get a game-aware, male roommate and sarge forth, my son.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
Do NOT ever have female room mates!

Female room mates are the worst. The only benefit might be that they're clean. However:

1. If you're buff, have game, and have a semblance of a life. They will fall in love with you. If their advances are rebuked, they will hate you.

2. In terms of resources, men consume a lot of food. Women consume everything else. You will be subsidizing electricity, water, heat, and potentially cable TV. When I was in college, I lived with two other guys my senior year. Our electricity bill was 35-45$ a month. Heat and water was included thank god.

I moved in with two girls my first year in NYC. My electricity bill was $125 and the gas bill was even higher.

3. Nothing is worse than hearing the moans of a female room mate getting banged out by some schlep. If you're living with dudes, at least the chick leaves in the morning. If you're living with them, you'll hear the noise and see the post results in the morning. Absolutely ick.

4. Be prepared for the one "chick" room mate to be late on electricity, rent, and other utilities. I've seen all of the BS. Expect hand to mouth living from women. They have absolutely no idea what it means to save or live frugally.

5. At least with men, if you're living with another dude you can just be pleasant with each other and enjoy niceties like a beer. Again, if you haven't rebuked the chick, she'll fall in love. If you already have, she'll see your kindness as weakness.

Verdict: Don't bother.

However, sometimes it is a necessity. In big cities, the ration of women to men is higher. Sometimes I only find apartment listings with all chicks. Finding good guys to live with that aren't gay is stupid hard.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
If you think living with a woman is bad, try having one work for you! Holy, fucking, shit.
Women believe the world was created to cater to them. They don't pay rent. It is daddy's job, boyfriend's job or a chump's job. And if we are not daddy or boyfriend we are automatically a chump.
It is in their DNA.
If and if they are paying rent by some slim chance then their brain is telling them somebody fucked up and a man is to blame, hence feminism!!

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I had a female roommate here in Mexico, it was overall a good deal.

She never cockblocked me or got in the way. (Pretty much all male roommates I've had have indeed cockblocked and gotten in the way, including my own brother).

She was clean, paid rent, and helped me with learning Spanish. I didn't score with any of her friends, but perhaps I could have with one of them if I didn't happen to have a different girl over during what would have been my best opportunity.

Thankfully I never had to be around when she was being nailed, but boy oh boy did she hear it when I was giving girls the business.

I did hook up a forum buddy here with my roomie, but I was passed out cold and never heard any of it.

Just be clear with rules, and have a sublet contract (consider month to month contracts), so that you can kick a roommate out if they failed to meet the contract, or simply not renew if she is bitchy and/or cockblocking. Subletting contract laws will vary by country. For example in the US you can do it, but I don't think you can in Mexico.

Plus, if you have high level roomate problems like them stealing things, doing drugs, letting shitheads into the apartment your only recourse with a female roomate is court.

A male roomate, you can invite some buddies over and have an 'intervention' where you convince him to move out.

A friend of mine had multiple female roommates ... he banged a few of them, but he definitely paid for it in terms of drama, etc. So don't do that.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I roomed with a young professional woman for about half a year. She had just broken up with her fiance and didn't know anyone in our town.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. I was actually about to be out on the street a day before I met her for coffee and basically thank what little game skills I've learned in this community to becoming her roommate.

After meeting for coffee we immediately went to the place, I checked it out then paid her my first month rent and moved in the next day. What can I say? Game saves lives.

There was definitely a lot of sexual tension present. A lot of times she would ask me questions about my previous relationships, sexual experience, getting all the way into things like discussing rape play fantasies she had...

I avoided banging her because I didn't want to risk losing my living space over eventual relationship drama, but sometimes I do look back on it and wonder.

My advice would be to find a girl who has a more mature background. Young professionals, older girls who are a bit more intelligent than standard. They are probably much easier to deal with. Minimal if no drama.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
What's worse, though, a female roommate or a self-castrated white-knight beta with gay voice (but technically heterosexual), who will judge your lifestyle and do whatever is in his (passive-aggressive) power to sabotage it? Even if they don't cockblock you outright, their vibe is liable to cramp your style. Keep in mind those guys are very common, especially in cities, as roommates. There's a general epidemic, and those guys are often broke-asses who need to live with other guys. They'll hate you for being buff, for having chicks, for using the "wrong" words, for standing with your legs apart. Imagine if you leave the forum--or some article he finds "offensive"--up on your laptop by accident for two seconds. It's like having an enemy in your camp.

A chick is so caught up in her life crisis of the day that she won't notice 98 percent of what you do.

Not 30 minutes ago, I walked two feet next to this girl I know well (and I'm pretty sure wanted the D at some point). She didn't even say hi, even though I was looking right at her. Was it because she's mad at me or "not talking" to me? No. These bitches don't look around. I'm sure she was thinking about herself.

My recommendation: Do everything in your power to live alone. But, don't write off living with female roommate. Properly managed, she will do shit you tell her to do. If you pick smart, you can leverage her to get other bitches or access to things (pussy opens doors). Money- and cleanliness-wise, setup escrow accounts (deposits) to handle lateness or dereliction of household duties. You need game even to have a female roommate.

Remember: a lot of the men today are women.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
Had a female flatmate once, it was a good experience. Single, professional in her late twenties.

I moved into a place she had already set up. She took care of all bills, liaising with the maid and buying supplies. She was a bit messy, but nothing too filthy, though without a weekly maid things would've gotten out of control. Everything else she did more than made up for the messiness. She even let me live rent-free for a couple of weeks when I needed some extra time after agreed on moveout date.

The most annoying thing was that she loved to party and would bring people over on weekends (and sometimes weekdays) and party till 3 or 4am, though respectful enough to keep the noise down.

On the flipside she introduced me to her hot friends and would big me up around them, and tolerated my afterparties, friends crashing on the sofa, etc. She invited me to parties and brought hot girls to the flat and was cool with me flirting with them. There was a lot of sexual tension and once we hooked up while drunk and never spoke of it again. Decided I didn't need the drama.

Hard to draw many lessons from one case, but if she's mature (at least 25 years old) and has her shit together professionally she's more likely to be tolerable. Use common sense, pay attention to what she's like and be clear on ground rules and expectations up-front.

Picking flatmates is like doing job interviews, people always try to put their best front on and say what they think you want to hear. You need to come up with questions that smoke out what they're really like.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
Girls can be decent roommates provided there's no sexual attraction between you. (If she's hot, just ask her out, don't room with her, or just hold back your blue balls and game the hot friends she brings around).

(08-14-2015 01:34 PM)The Beast1 Wrote:  1. If you're buff, have game, and have a semblance of a life. They will fall in love with you. If their advances are rebuked, they will hate you.

This is the biggest danger, so look to her for signs of attraction to you in the interview. My solution was to call on my experiences at being friendzoned in my teens, and do it to them them during the initial stages: "I'm sure we'll get along - you remind me so much of my sister."

It's clearly-stating you could never think of them in that way, without negative connotations.

If you don't, or it doesn't work, expect an increasing escalation of Girl Game Tactics, due to girls believing whatever they desire, they deserve, (and whilst these sound initially harmless, you'll see where it ends up):

- constant nagging to accompany them on social and shopping expeditions as 'stealth dates';

- sudden revelations of previously-hidden loves of bands and movies you like;

- your t-shirts start becoming pyjamas or housewear for whenever their stuff is in the wash, and 'it doesn't matter' if they're dirty;

- fishing for compliments on their looks before they go out;

- needing things in the bathroom when you're showering;

- sulkiness and door slamming if your bring other girls home;

- condoms you knew were there missing from your bedside drawer when you do bring girls home;

- increasingly desperate appeals to emotion.

This last one is the danger zone for out of control bullshit as they increasingly-ply you emotionally in the hope you'll Mate Select them. This starts as an upward progression of trying to make you see them as higher value than they are:

- "Do you think [that girl on tv] is pretty?"

- "Do you think men and women can just be friends?"

- "I'm joining the gym. Would you help me train?"

- "[This random guy] asked me out on a date. What do you think I should do?"

- "I have a [new, never-seen] boyfriend and he's [smarter / taller / better looking / wealthier / more accomplished] than you. Are you jealous?"

- "This guy in the bar is abusing me. You should fight for me."

When this doesn't work, the downward progression begins, now she is trying to sell herself as damaged and abused, so you'll ride in on your White Steed and rescue her. Thus begins a tedious and predictable sequence of deliberately-manipulative crap I've heard from multiple would-be partners over the years.

- "My [current / previous] boyfriend is treading me bad."

- "Men always treat me bad."

- "I have a lot of emotional problems need help".

- "He hits me."

- "I'm scared / upset. Can I sleep in your bed tonight?"

- "I was raped by my boyfriend / a man / multiple men / my father"

- "Because of this damage, i'm out of control and a danger to myself, so even though the police strangely weren't involved after my abuse and it was before I knew you or you were otherwise absent you should always protect me so this doesn't happen again."

I'm so experienced in this progression, the moment I read about the girl telling her would-be boyfriend about 'Haven Monahan', I knew the reality of the UVA Rape Story.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I've had tons of great female roommates. A lot of crazy stuff in this thread.. No one tried to skip paying rent just because they were a girl..

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
All great advice so far, really appreciate the insight! I'm meeting her for drinks this coming week so we'll see what kind of first impression I get. If she's as hot as she is in her pictures then I maybe I should just go for the bang and tell her the room is no longer available. Then add a thoughtful new post to the Craiglist game thread.

I go on dates and have girls over about 1-2 times a week so I guess my concern is someone passively trying to disrupt that.

RE: Anyone ever had a girl roommate?
I lived in a one female/ two males situation and a two females/two males situation. All of the gals were responsible, pleasant roommates. None of them were very attractive and all were fairly well educated. I've had a lot more shitty male roommates who would get drunk and do loud, stupid shit and have dumb friends crashing on the couch or floor, could just be an age thing though.
