Just because their marriage is legalized doesn't mean they need to shove gay toleration down everyone's throats.

Gays have been accepted in America for a very long time, since at least Clinton's DADT.

Gays have been tolerated for even longer than that. The Castro District in San Francisco has been doing its thing for a very long time.

This ruling isn't about toleration or acceptance. It's about celebrating and promoting gay relationships. And I would argue that with the Cathedral's reaction and propaganda, they are holding them up as "holier" than normal heterosexual relationships.

Marriage is not covered anywhere in the Constitution so why are they ruling it. The Justices should have turned it away because of this.

It was the Supreme Court that decided that marriage is a fundamental right, and thus protected by the constitution same as life & liberty. Similarly, the SC also decided that interracial marriage is protected under the Constitution. Granted that fundamental rights are protected by the Constitution, it was naturally very much within the discretion of the SC to rule on this matter, and in fact was the only real avenue to permanently decide this issue.

You may think that this shit doesn't matter, until you have to put your kid in a school with a teacher who is married to someone of the same gender.

You may think you can just "go your own way" until you find out that there is no where else to go.

You may think that we're being extreme or radical, until you truly feel what it's like to be on the receiving end of the Jacobins.

Lines are slowly being drawn. You have to decide what it is you believe in. You have to decide what your value system is.

Because if you don't, they will decide for you.

.

Here is a likely scenario:

1. A gay rights group tries to force an elementary school in West Virginia to teach something objectionable (gay sex, gay history, whatever)

2. Parents rise up and outright refuse. W. Va is super christian, they'd have support of their community.

3. Federal government sends law enforcement to try to force the issue.

4. Locals militarize. It turns into a Feds vs. locals standoff

5. The standoff spreads. Either Feds win or they give up, but in either case, much wider spread "enforcement" actions begin. Republicans are elected but don't do anything because they only care about protecting corporate clients.

6. Christian militants start assassinating gay leaders.

7. Each and every person in the US will have to take a side. You either live in a liberal state, or you live in a christian/libertarian state. You will not be able to travel freely between them.

Don't think outright public rebellion/standoff of this kind can't happen in the US. It already has happened many times in the past. Usually precipitating some crisis. Read US history.

RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
^There is not going to a civil war over gay stuff being taught in school. People may grumble, curse, and still believe that being straight is normal and being gay is not. But this is not stopping, there is no getting off this ride.

The U.S. has the most effective propaganda machine in the world, the Government/Schools/Media/Corporations are not going to be defeated by redneck militias in W.V.

Every redneck throughout history has probably grumbled about the liberal media/schools/government but they tried rising up once and they were stomped. Certainly in our pussified day and age there's no chance of anything like that happening.

People really think this is "the last straw" and after this people will finally have some sort of a backlash? No. It will keep going. The younger generation will all think gay marriage is as normal as anything else in the world. Youth will define themselves as pro-gay marriage in opposition to any old people who think the opposite. You ARE on the wrong side of history, because the gay side is clearly winning.

There may be one or two crazy people somewhere in this huge country who perpetrate some sort of anti-government or anti-gay violence, and it will be a national day of mourning and only more proof that the long hard fight still has to be fought with extra vigor.

This is not stoping. We are going to continue moving left, forever.

You need not go far into modern Russian (Soviet) history to see multitudinous examples of this.

Nobody said anything about giving power. It is a social movement very similar to the Neighbourhood Watch programmes which exist in other countries. The Police do not have the resources to monitor the internet.

Maybe you're not aware, but Russian culture is under attack from English/American homosexual organisations and they are not short of funding. Stephen Fry keeps visiting our city to attend private meetings and promote homosexual lifestyles - something which is illegal here, by the way. We've seen a wave of foreign faggot-activists arrive since he started to make documentaries mocking our religion and anti-pederasty laws.

Anyway, what is your solution to this problem? Do you really want to see faggots in medicine, education, hospitality, law enforcement, etc? It is not a pretty picture:

I must have misunderstood your statement before, because I thought you described a group sanctioned by the state. If not, my bad.

Nonetheless, the people in the neighborhood watch could easily be busybody cunts who just love to monitor people and fuck with their private life. It's a hard choice between living next to a closeted and polite homo vs a shrill harpy who needs to know what is going on with everyone (not saying everyone in your group is a shrill harpy, just making a point).

Russian culture survived the Soviets, I think it will be fine. I agree with you that the pro-gay agenda is sick and contemptible. Most of the Russians I have met (including my ex wife) see right through it and still honor quality and truth and beauty.

As to what my solution is, I think it's a fallacy to assume one can, with finality, "solve" these types of conflicts. We don't need more laws and more groups; that is what your political enemies are pushing for. Social shame generally sorts everything out. You are also wishing for the impossible if you want to keep certain subsets of people out of all these professions. If they can actually perform well in their tasks of course I want to see them in those professions. If they are whiny little queens nancing around incompetently and surviving based on quotas (more of those pesky laws), then I wish the employer would be free to fire them, and their immediate community to socially shame them. Same way I feel about alcoholics, physically abusive people, shamefully fat people, whatever weakness/degeneracy we may identify. If one can publicly identify it, and it affects their ability to interact with those around, they should feel the cold shoulder and the shame. I'm totally with you on that. But the forming of vigilante groups and the hunting down of marked persons is not the way to go. Read up on Sergei Parajanov, one of the greatest Soviet filmmakers. Shuffled away to a prison camp by the state, released a nearly broken man. Perhaps I am misunderstanding you, but it sounds like your end game is to have a strong-arm traditionalist state buffeting out the more liberal political power. That comes with its own horrors.

If you mean identifying and banishing confirmed pedos, then we completely agree.

Oh not this old line again.

It is not an individual rights question. It is not a 'live and let live' question.
If it was, they would stop at 'civil union', which has all the same legal rights as a marriage.
They do not stop at that, because 'marriage' is a definition with a type of social recognition, and they resent it's exclusive meaning and acceptance, and highjacking the word is an act of forcing general society to accept their normality.
It is one thing to permit something, and other to say 'it is normal' or to celebrate it.

I hope this puts an end to the 'let live' mutterings, but I suspect it won't.

"Forever" is obviously an exaggeration. Take it to mean "in our lifetimes".

The United States has been moving left for its entire existence. There have been a few series of pauses, but the entire story of history is the advance of leftism.

Every civil rights struggle that was "won" was a step forward for leftism. Gay marriage is just the latest in that trend.

Look at the entire history of the U.S.

Revolutionary war.

Who was more liberal, the side fighting for democracy, or the side that said "I am the King, this is my Kingdom, you damn rebels stop this insurrection". Obviously America was the "liberal" side from the beginning, and won.

Look at the civil war. Who was more liberal, the slave-holding side or the side that abolished slavery? Liberals won, of course.

The Roosevelts established a government that began regulating many things it had never dreamed of before. How did conservatives do in the early 1900s? They were laughed out of town. FDRs government to them looked like a monstrosity, to us now it looks tame. Hell Conservatives today wouldn't dream of even rolling back anything to the 1930s! They'd at most hope for, what, rolling it back to 2003? 1998?

The civil rights era, who won that fight?

Now gay marriage, etc. who is winning?

The old conservative causes are completely lost. Despite you calling for WV militia uprisings against gay marriage, which sets you pretty much near the extreme end of the right wing, would you even advocate repealing past liberal advances at all? What do you want to go back to, the 1990s? You see that as liberals advance, their past victories are solidified in the history books as "the right side of history", taught with the full force of our propaganda machine, reinforced in schools, tv, government etc.

So I don't see any pendulum swinging back and forth. The gay marriage stuff started under Bush, when Republicans controlled the Presidency, Congress, and had just, according to rabid liberals, "stuffed the Supreme Court". You'll remember tons of article sfrom the mid 2000s where liberals were shitting themselves that the Supreme Court might start rolling back past liberal victories. They were completely wrong.

Kids will definitely be taught Gay Everything in school, and it will seem just as normal to them as everything else they're taught there. Maybe some will still think conservative thoughts, but most will think their parents are "just old fashioned" and "on the wrong side of history" and buy the liberal brainwashing completely.

RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
^ The "moving left forever" ends when there's no more money to support this system. Right now America isn't producing nearly enough wealth to sustain itself. It's going bankrupt this century, and then things will return to, "The strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must." Faggots won't last a year in these circumstances.

When the pendulum swings back, it won't be a "swing," it will be more like the clock exploding and the pendulum flies out of the machine and never swings again. America's entire system is running on faggotry, debt, coercion, mass media deception - pure lies.

What made America great came from the Kings of old - Patriarchy, Christianity, and Community Loyalty. The reason America has been able to keep up degeneracy for so long is because America had so much inertia from its upstanding old European traditions which were built on truths of human nature.

So all the degeneracy you see now is only sustained by the once great achievements of our old civilization, and once these things are gone so will our technology, our wealth, our peace and order, etc. Mad max will look downright utopian compared to what's coming to this barren continent.

The pendulum will not swing back in the era of the United States as we know it. But I agree with Samseau, that there will come a point where the pendulum will come swinging back off the gears and crashing out of the clock altogether, e.g. the end of the United States. Like the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, Babylon, the Incas, the Aztecs, the Persians, various Chinese dynasties, the United States will indeed collapse, and for many the same reasons those civilizations collapsed. We've become a highly over diversified, over bloated nation that has now almost completely thrown its own roots under the bus. We are now just a vast continental swath of people that occupy a large chunk of North America, ticking down towards a more "official" looking disintegration.

This is why I actually don't feel so bad, or traitorous, for currently pursuing a foreign wife. I believe in roots and loyalty to country, community, but if my community offers me no foreseeable way to obtain a wife-material woman, and my country isn't all that anymore anyways, then happier abroad it is. I just need to figure out where I am going to live, and to your point, how I am going to educate my children without them being poisoned by the lies of the LGBT agenda and other nonsense propaganda. Perhaps all the more reason for me to be seriously considering other countries to base my family out of once I am married and raising my children.

@Sonsowey

You forgot a few other important ones. Abortion, immigration, secularization, multiculturalism, environmentalism, feminism, progressive taxation(except the Reagan-era reversal), government spending. Only thing they haven't made much ground in is banning guns. I don't see that happening. That's the one thing that I think would lead to a second civil war. Not an ideological one, a bloody one.

I'm thinking about this heavily now. I guess anywhere around the world you look, things gradually move left. Some more slowly than others, but they eventually do. I think there's only one way to move right, and that's by authoritarian dictatorship, or theocracy(not that I believe in that). Without either one of those, liberalism is the end result.

Nobody is turning any clock back on America. That wouldn't be possible unless you had NK level authoritarianism on steroids where everyone was literally terrified and outspoken leftists simply "vanished" in the middle of the night like Chile under Pinochet.

When a country's mantra is freedom, then liberalism is what you will end up with. freedom is the enemy of traditionalism. It's freedom to break with the past and everyone to do their own thing. Freedom from religion, norms and customs.

The end result of this is Armageddon.

Step one: Legalize gay marriage.

Step two: Legions of gaylords adopt harems of young boys to diddle. Scandal ensues. Something must be done!

But we can't take away their rights. We are all equal/ the same, except the evil Christians.

Step three: Cameras in every home to stop the molestation, then take the guns, then the diabolical Holocaust, etc.

Fucking faggots.

I can't be mocked for adhering to behavioral codes that are pre-programmed into every cell in my body. The only way I could feel mocked or teased for my sexual orientation is if I was uncertain or insecure about it.

Some more slowly than others, but they eventually do. I think there's only one way to move right, and that's by authoritarian dictatorship, or theocracy(not that I believe in that). Without either one of those, liberalism is the end result.

There are a few models out there.

Islam has a good track record of running back liberalism, but of course some rather unpleasant side effects.

The Lee Kwan Yew model, which basically has not been replicated anywhere.

There are also right-wing military dictatorships, Pinochet comes to mind. Chile today is the best Latin American country on a per-capita basis in basically any measure you can imagine.

It's not that simple, porsche. Doing what's best for you requires liberty, and you're going to find that your liberty is increasingly infringed upon by social justice warriors. Expect "freedom of association" to go first. Expect to be compelled to satisfy the wants of some gays lest you lose your business, your job, or your organization (church or otherwise).

There is also the question of reproduction. Our lives are not just individual standalone occurrences, but links in a chain. You may well be able to maximize your individual position, but your children may well run out of "dry land" untouched by the putrid moral mess your generation failed to dredge.

In a business or employment context, would a fag want something different than a straight person?

I'm approaching 40 and I have no kids. Fact of the matter is I'm not going to be having children at this age. In another year or two I'm going to have a vasectomy. The path in front of me ends when I take my last breath. Nothing matters beyond that.

Well if you accept the void like that, then you are fine.

Then this is the origin of your sentiment, certainly no moral grounding. The rest of us want to follow the standard life of a man. Otherwise, sure, social degeneration objectively doesn't matter.

Porscheguy-

What an inspiration you are. 250,000 years of your human ancestors doing what it takes to pass on the gift of life to the next generation. Some slaves, some powerful, some not, others warriors, others conquerors, and you...who live in a country that hands out a passport where you can go anywhere in the world, fail to pass on the gift of life.

You seem so happy writing snarky replies to an intelligent mans warning of the encroaching immorality that will effect others children, religious beliefs, and way of life. Everyone can tell how enthused and full of life you are.

Surely, there can be no doubt from your responses here, that anyone who reads your comments will come to any conclusion other than you told everyone and are assuredly living a fulfilling life mutilating your dick to ensure a 100% chance of reproductive failure.

I can only sit in awe of your tolerance and intellect.

Like the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, Babylon, the Incas, the Aztecs, the Persians, various Chinese dynasties, the United States will indeed collapse.

This is really an interesting topic to think about, I have serious doubts that we will see a collapse in the way ancient societies collapsed. To truly have a collapse like the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, where humanity does not recover for centuries or even a thousand years... I just cannot imagine that happening. A literal Mad Max scenario, equally seems unlikely.

I don't see how there could possibly be such a power vacuum in the U.S. with so many weapons around. Human power is basically all based around violence, and whoever has the biggest guns wins. Thus even if, formally, The United States of America ceased existing, whatever the successor state might be would at least have a huge military at its disposal with which to maintain order.

Look for instance to the collapse of the Soviet Union. The world's largest "country" dissolved and broke up into dozens of states. They had a couple decades of chaos, lots of corruption, but the breakup of the Soviet Union is nothing on the scale of classical civilizational collapses. People may complain about poorer quality public services but that's relatively small beans compared to actually thinking Mad Max is a possible outcome for us.

You could look to Iraq or Syria as a worse case scenario I guess, even then, not Mad Max, though you're getting much closer.

If you're really expecting the worst, I guess Haiti or Somalia could be your worst case scenario, but I don't see how we get there anytime soon.

Our financial power and the dollar's status as the world's currency is largely based around our military power. We can always print more money to pay our debts because whoever you are, you have to take our money because we have nuclear missiles covering the entire planet. China cannot just not accept our dollars as payment, and the fears of hyperinflation have been nonstop since 2008 yet have failed to materialize. There truly has never been a country/empire/world power on the scale of the United States.

That isn't to say that The United States of America is eternal or will last for 1,000 years. But I just don't see a realistic situation where the U.S. collapses and there is a huge power vacuum that goes unfilled to the point that we re-enter the stone age. Our standard of living may drop down to converge with the rest of the Americas, but even a standard of living on par with Mexico is not Mad Max. Yet for there to be true chaos you need a power vacuum that goes unfilled, to the point that a few assholes with some guns and cars could legitimately be the biggest source of power around. How could that possibly happen in a country that has such a massive military?

If you start talking about 100 + years in the future, no one can really predict much with any accuracy, so we're into the realm of science fiction...

--

But now I've started with the "I don't see this happening anytime soon" stuff which is basically a surefire way to ensure that something does in fact happen.

I've just read Rudyard Kipling's short poem God of the Copybook Headings which talks about this in incredibly pertinent detail:

I already have, first post pg. 2 of this thread, pretty sad you still haven't read it. Just shows how brainwashed you are, completely unable to challenge your preconceived notions. Somehow the faggots got you good.

You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. I read your source, and since it had nothing to do with the issue at hand, I ignored it. But since you persist in mischaracterizing it, I will correct you so that others don't also fall prey to misinformation.

It's pretty sad that you fail to understand your own sources.

You pointed to a single study from 2001 (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11501300) which stated "Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation. Twenty-two percent of lesbian women in contrast to 1% of heterosexual women reported homosexual molestation."

What does this mean? Does it men that gay men or women molest children more often than straight men or women? No, it does not.

All it shows is that there is a potential correlation between the kind of childhood molestation and the development of adult sexual orientation. It doesn't even prove this as a causal relationship.

Again, show me any proof to support your accusation that gay men molest children at a greater rate than straight men.

All you have shown up to this point is that according to a single study, when a child is molested by a homosexual, that child is potentially more likely to sexually orient as a homosexual in adulthood. That has a lot more to do with the impact of early experience to adult development than on anything special about homosexuality. If those same children had been molested by their aunts instead of their uncles, they would be more likely to be straight.

But again, this has nothing to do with the propensity of adults of either sexual orientation to molest children.
