Leonard, you are being too pessimistic.

Trump isn't trying to persuade the Congressional Dems, he is trying to sell the necessity of a wall to the American people and why an emergency is his only option.

Let's make a bet, if Trump fails to start on the wall within 2 months or gives DACA amnesty. I'll turn my avatar upside down for a month. If he does get building without amnesty, then you flip your avatar for a month.
Leonard D Neubache · 2019-01-20 00:18:00 · #88808
It's hard sometimes. Really.

Trump wins the election almost purely on "build the wall" and here we are two years later talking nonsense about how Trump "needs to convince voters"...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not making any childish bets on the fate of a nation. This is a farce and the people desperately clinging to this political spectacle are starting to embarrass themselves.

Trump has already done his most important job. He's showed heritage America that their vote is irrelevant. They have no representation and have only been tricked into believing otherwise.

What they do with that information is up to them, but jacking it over political porn on the internet and voting every two years is not going to cut it if they want to survive and provide a future for their children.

Promised this:

Apart from the fact that this guy is an Asian man and automatically starts out with a disadvantage in terms of charisma among American voters, his approach is actually very dangerous. He's picking apart the problems afflicting the country methodically and explaining the Trump phenomenon calmly, as opposed to charging at him like a rabid TDS-sufferer. He's even willing to admit that the Democrats are stupid when it comes to keeping the government shut down over border wall semantics.

In the current environment, when the mainstream media and academia still hold power over the "expert" narrative on what is logically good or bad for the USA, a politician like Andrew Yang, or at least one who says similar things to what he's saying, could easily pull a lot of swing voters by sounding intelligent and composed.

Extremely valid point @LDN although you'll get hammered on it by everyone here who believes the hype.

at what point does it stop becoming 4d chess and start looking like a dem long game of stalling for time for 2 or 6 more years so the demographics make you a dem country forever?

Trump lacks intelligence and staying power. Sometimes he has good ideas but this is not enough. It's disappointing, but yeah.

Things seem to have gotten remarkably worse since the election. Just think of it. The crackdown on conservatives on the Internet, followed by an acceleration of the LGBT perversion, the spread of sexual confusion to children, and feminist attacks on men (Metoo, Gillette). And the Democrats are turning to the radical left and socialism is being actively discussed, with the new sockpuppet star Ocasio-Cortez heavily promoted by the media. All of this so recently.

It seems obvious now we aren't going to get a wall, and as has been mentioned, the steel slats are easily defeated. There are numerous pictures on the Internet showing people climbing them. And they can be sawed through. The real reason for the wall are the laws. As soon as you set foot in America, you have all kinds of rights and you are essentially in America for good. If the Democrats were really serious about the border (which they aren't, they lie), they would agree to change the laws. Problem solved.

What's going on is a dance of two steps forward, one step back.

There's a growing movement of (white) nationalism across the Western world and it's increasing by the day. The leaders of this movement are still trying to figure out how to do, while keeping the system in place.

You got your Orban, Trump, Bolsonaro, Salvini, who are nationalists, but still fully committed to the modern world and, most important, to the democratic process. This is important, because even if the media claims them to be dictators, they are in fact staunch democrats. They're trying to salvage the republic, when they probably should aim to become democratic tyrants like Putin.

Imo, it's for the better to remain democracies and keep some sort of human rights (in an ethnically limited form). We're not Russians, but the people of greek democracy, roman republics and the american constitution. These things are the expression of the western man. Russia and China are not the same.

These nationalist-populists mentioned are still trying to figure out how to keep the system running, while turning it to serve the people and not the jews. So it's like Trump says something and Salvini grabs that and does something. Then others are inspired and inspire others. This idea of Muh America Fuck Yeah, I would say is beginning to really (((irk my ears))), you're all going to have to deal with the idea of America, the UK and Australia disappearing. You're not an ethnic group like Poles or Italians anymore. You'll come to define yourself as Europeans.

If they fail, we've already seen what's coming in the Yellow Vests. I bet millions of capable western men are itching to join. I know I am.

I think it's for the better if we could solve this and still keep our democracies. If it fails, then it's Yellow Vests and the like and it won't turn into WW3 or anything.

These images can be deceptive. Because the most important thing in the images you are proposing, is, what is the respective height of both structures (wall, and fence).

I mean, if the wall is say, 4 meters in height, and the metallic fence is 5 meters (16 feet) in height, then the metallic fence is better at doing its job (keeping bad people at bay).

Also, if you have the powerful tools you are describing, you might as well blow a chunk of the wall and pass through, almost as easily as you could blow your way through a portion of the fence. Plus, if one is so organized (and well-equipped) that one can manufacture and use explosives, one could just as well tunnel under. For in any case, wall or fence, it is only going to work against "normal", run-of-the-mill illegals, not against highly-sophisticated criminals (though it would no doubt disrupt their operations, too).

Well, I think that, in order to negotiate and reach a deal, president Trump is right in offering some leeway, minor concessions, to the Dems (who after all and unfortunately, control the House). Plus, he might just be preparing to declare a national emergency, after having publicly tried all other options on the table. Let's call it, the Art of (Seemingly Trying to Reach) the Deal, then using sheer force to succeed.

Back yard. Absent hyperbole.

The yearly defense budget of the US is almost a trillion dollars now. I got called an idiot before the inauguration for saying "Trump should use the military" but he's done it, just on a pathetic scale, which proves two things.

1) He can use the military.
2) He's not willing to use them effectively.

"Hey Pentagon. POTUS here. You know that wall the Israeli Military built? I want one. Make it happen or you're fired and I give the task to the guy who brought you your coffee. Comprende? Money? Buy three less zippy planes this year. That'll get you started."

Case in point, if the US military core of engineers started building a wall IN ISRAEL or any other shithole then nobody would think anything was out of place!

You only think it's complicated because you need it to be.

Because if it wasn't, then you'd have to reconcile with certain implications.

This is why a blonde waif like Coulter has more balls than most of us here. She's willing to call this shit out while everyone else just wrings their hands and buys the same shitty excuses over and over and over. Boring

By reading some of the negative comments about Donald Trump's accomplishments and activities, the black pillers and pessimists are sounding just as delusional as the Q Larpers in that they do not have a sound base to their arguments. Replace "Hillary is going to be arrested any time now ..." with "Donald Trump didn't do this because I interpreted as this ....". If Donald Trump deserves criticism for anything, it is that he is not doing enough to publicly support those that stick their necks out for him. Everything else (the Wall, the Fed, reversing changing demographics, getting out of the Middle East, etc.) is going to take time because he is dealing with the deck against him. How many people can relate to that from personal experience in that the whole world was against you because you are a man? I can, and I have succeeded in life despite the odds. I also know many in this forum have succeeded as well in their lives facing even greater adversity.

Furthermore, I would be careful about interpreting every misaction/no action as bad for Donald Trump. You have to remember that the Deep State has alot of allies that will troll Donald Trump supporters to get them to break rank, especially from ShareBlue, the CIA, etc. Always question every negative criticism but that doesn't mean we drink the KoolAid 110%!

Nomadbrah, this is basically the best quote that describes the current situation going on in the political world related to Trump, Bolsonaro, Salvini, Orban, etc. What you have mentioned is similar to the "Russian strategy" that I discussed in the Brazil politics thread. You cannot just go full throttle with the end goal in mind because you will be crushed. You need to take baby steps to get there, sometimes you can get away taking more steps. The left uses the same strategy to get what they want, we will use the same strategy to get what we want. However, you also made a point in that we should prepare for the worst, and that is also a sound strategy as well. This is akin to having a nest egg or reserves set aside in case you cannot work or are unable to find work in the economy.

Going strong, very good observation. The steel beams are not the perfect wall that many of us want, but they are effective in doing their job. Also, as you mentioned, they can be countered but they require a sophisticated effort from an organized group. A wall is never going to be 100% effective, but it will reduce breaches to the point where they can be managed by the Border Patrol. However, I am still waiting for that National Emergency to be declared (even though it will eventually be declared soon)

Btw, still on Team Wait and See, and I am on this train to the end of time!

This might be the dumbest thing I have read on this forum in a long time. If Trump didnt have intelligence and staying power the NYC Jews in Commercial Real Estate and Finance would have taken all his money decades ago. You literally have no idea how vicious and cut throat that world is, yet he has survived as an apex predator for decades.

That was before he mowed down 16 GOP candidates in the Primary, the Clinton machine in the general election, all the while being massively opposed by both parties and the media.

Trump might be floundering but it is far better than what will come next when Libs grab power. Beto Orourke and Ocasio Cortez are pied pipers of the millenial generation. Dangerous as hell.

How has Trump used the military to prove you were correct?

I don't recall snipers and a line of military soldiers with guns standing at the border ready to cut down all trespassers like you previously said can be done.

As for the big concrete wall, Border Control had said, multiple times, they wanted something they could see through. Why would anyone build something that would make Border Control jobs more dangerous?

Why would border control not want a wall that would make their jobs almost entirely redundant?

Gosh. It's hard to imagine.

The American people were promised a wall, and that's what they voted for.

But if border control wants a fence that "makes their job easier tard" then by golly, fuck the American people.

Zero chance that it's just a cynical way to massage down expectations for saps, right?

Oh well. Far be it from me, a foreigner, to rain on your parade. Personally I'm really looking forward to the next round of Trump rallies where the crowds chant "BUILD THE FENCE!!"

America was promised border security to stop the inflow of immigrants. Whether it be a wall or what the border control officers want is fine by most people. It all depends on what gets the job done and keeps our people safe.

I'd say border control and our military are more pro-Trump, but I understand why you would question motives.

Border Control wants to be able to see any dangerous activities on the other side. A concrete wall won't allow them to see what is coming. It seems logical to me when you think about it. I don't know why you wouldn't listen to the people doing the jobs and give them what they need.

That's not a 16-foot wall. As God-Emperor himself is undoubtedly no less than 12 feet tall, this wall behind him has to be over 30 feet in height - and yes, it's a beautiful wall!

In any case, such is life: we all dream of a Big Beautiful HB9 Wall, but in the end, we'll consider ourselves quite happy to settle for the Medium-Height Pretty HB6,5 Fence
