Quote:A new poll from Reuters shows Hillary Clinton regaining a solid lead over Republican Donald Trump. Clinton is backed by 46 percent of likely voters, while 35 percent back Trump. Clinton’s 11-point lead is a sharp reversal from last month, when Clinton and Trump were tied.
That Reuters survey from mid-May showed a sizable bump for the Republican, as Trump clinched his nomination fight. Hillary Clinton was still experiencing a string of primary losses against Vermont socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders. While that contest continues through Tuesday, a break in primary contests has spared Clinton another round of negative headlines.
After peaking at just over 40 percent of the vote on May 12th, Trump has shed support over the past two weeks, according to Reuters new poll. Trump has lost 5 points of support, while Clinton has gained 6 points. Since then, Trump has fielded questions over allegations surrounding Trump University as well as donations to veterans’ groups following a January fundraiser.
Clinton leads Trump among women by 15 points. More surprisingly, perhaps, Clinton now also leads Trump among male voters. In mid-May, Trump led Clinton by 7 points among men. Currently, though, Clinton leads Trump by 8 points among men, a 15-point swing.
Trump continues to lead Clinton among seniors. Voters older than 60 prefer Trump by 6 points, 43-37. Clinton dominates among young voters, though. She leads among voters younger than 35 by 30 points, 54-24. Clinton currently enjoys a bigger margin among young voters than President Obama did in 2012 against Mitt Romney.
The Reuters data, in fact, suggests that Donald Trump has a long way to go to reach Romney’s numbers in a number of key groups. Trump currently leads Clinton by just 3 points among white voters. Romney won white voters by 20 points. Trump leads among white working class voters by just 6 points.
One of the political narratives of a Trump candidacy is that he could bring white, working class voters to the Republican party. It is debatable how many of these voters aren’t already voting Republican. In any case, though, Trump is only narrowly leading Clinton among these voters.
Among white evangelicals, Trump leads Clinton by 26 points. This is far lower, though, than the 57 point margin Romney enjoyed in 2012.
Despite the fact that Clinton is still fighting a primary against Sanders, she seems to have a more unified Democrat party behind her than Trump has of Republicans. Against Clinton, Trump has the support of just 71 percent of Republicans. Just over 12 percent of Republican voters are currently supporting Clinton.
Among Democrats, though, Clinton has just over 78 percent support. Only 7 percent of Democrats are supporting Donald Trump. Even among white Democrats, Trump only pulls 9 percent support.
This latest Reuters poll, surveying 1,421 likely voters, was conducted May 30-June 3. The race has changed dramatically since its last survey in mid-May. It will likely change again, several times, before November. The general election campaign hasn’t even officially begun. It is likely to be a roller-coaster.

If you look at the list of names of the San Jose PD, you might change your mind. That city is "diversified" from top to bottom, and I wouldn't be surprised if the rank and file officers harbored ethnic antipathy towards Trump, his supporters, and all that they represent.
A fish rots from the head down. Once you have the Marxists in at the top, it's only a matter of time until the rank and file follow along with the ideology. Dissenters are weeded out with early retirement offers and outright false disciplinary charges. Eventually the libtards in white shirts at the top own all the positions.
As I said, "Our government is corrupt from the top down." I completely agree, Ghost Tiger.
Is it just me or (aside from all the recent Trump University mess) has it been a little more quiet on Trump's end lately? I'm hoping his campaign have just been busy plotting its next maneuvers. I assume we'll hear something from Trump after the results of today's primaries are revealed.
As for the whole Trump University thing, we all know the media is going after him in full force, but so far he's been able to live up to the name "Teflon Don" because nothing ever seems to stick to him. Is this story actually sticking or will it be old news in a week or two? I'm hoping something much more interesting happens to divert attention away from this so Trump can pivot to something else.
Lately, some people have been accusing Trump of intentionally trying to throw the race, but I don't believe that's true. I think it's just more talk from all the so-called "experts" trying to dissuade people from voting for Trump by putting their own negative spin on every little thing he does to encourage voters' doubts and fears.

right now.Quote:Unless an immediate mass media campaign is launched, or awareness otherwise raised, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of voters for Bernie Sanders will have their votes thrown out and never counted, due to erroneous instructions reported by concerned poll workers, disenfranchising likely Sanders voters. The erroneous instructions affect independent voters who overwhelmingly break towards Sanders. In California, independent voters are registered as "No Party Preference" (NPP.)
California elections are overseen and administered by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, a Hillary Clinton supporter who headlined a fundraiser for Clinton in Riverside on May 21st.
The voters have been given or told to use the wrong kind of ballot, "NPP" ballots rather than regular Democratic party ballots with the presidential candidates' names printed on them. Note to California voters: If you do not or did not see Bernie Sanders' name printed on your ballot, you have the wrong kind of ballot. You have until election day to go to the county’s voter registrar’s office to ask for a Democratic party ballot, or ask for it at your polling place on Election Day.
Stand outside your polling station with signs reminding "NO BERNIE PRINTED ON BALLOT= NO VOTE!"
Last week independent journalist Greg Palast reported:
"I am currently reporting from Southern California, and there’s an Ashley Beck, who is a poll worker in conservative Orange County. She was being trained with other poll workers, and they were given some very strange information. In the California primary, the independent voters registered as NPP, or no party preference, can vote in the Democratic primary. They can ask for a ballot and they are allowed to vote. The Orange County poll workers were told if NPP voters ask for a Democratic Party ballot to vote for Bernie or Hillary, they are not to be given regular ballots, but provisional ballots. This shook up Ashley."
Ms. Beck told Palast:
“I was told that all NPP voters are to be given provisional ballots. I was bothered by that, because I was always told that NPP voters in California can vote for Democrats and their vote would be counted. I was a little worried that he was telling all 18 of us poll workers to give all NPP voters provisional ballots. We all know what happens most of the time with provisional ballots. They are not being counted.”
"Provisional" ballots differ from regular Democratic party ballots in that they have no presidential candidates printed on them. True Democratic primary ballots have "Bernie Sanders" and "Hillary Clinton" printed on them.
Palast, in an interview with Dennis Bernstein for Reader Supported News, pointed out that the phenomenon of record numbers of independent voters seeking to vote in this year's primaries, overwhelmingly consists of Sanders partisans. The votes thrown out will almost all be Sanders votes, Palast said.
The polling firm Political Data Inc. told NBC affiliate KCRA News in Sacramento that, according to their data, 58% of independent voters who sought to cast a Democratic ballot would have voted for Sanders, while just 37% said they would vote for Clinton.
A search of California media coverage of the incorrect instructions shows only the KCRA report, which suggests that going into the CA primary this Tuesday, untold numbers of voters are still headed toward casting votes that won't count.
In addition, the ballot confusion comes amid reports that, similarly to what happened in Arizona and New York, voters are finding their party affiliations mysteriously changed, sometimes disqualifying them from voting in the Democratic primary. Voters should exercise extreme vigilance in checking their recorded voter registrations online.
A CA citizen's group, the Voting Rights Defense Project, filed a lawsuit last month as numerous instances of the misinformation on state websites spread, asking the judge to order the state to issue correct information via a mass media campaign before this Tuesday's primary. Federal Judge William Alsup threw out the suit, saying “The citizens of California are smart enough to know what their rights are.”
Secretary of State Padilla's office fought the lawsuit and denied any public awareness campaign was needed.
The approaching fiasco unfolds as Hillary Clinton continues to fight for a tie in the polls with Donald Trump, while Sanders maintains a wide lead over Trump in head-to-head, general election polls. The polls suggest that independent voters who support Sanders will not will not transfer their allegiance, and votes, to Hillary, if she is the nominee. Sanders maintains a comfortable 11 point lead over Trump, while Clinton is now fighting to stay neck-and-neck.

At the same time heavy blows continue to rain down on the Clinton candidacy, not least a scathing State Department report on her deletion of thousands of emails in violation of the Public Records Act, and her use of an unsecure email account during her time as Secretary of State, which national security experts say compromised the nation's secrets. CIA Director and former NSA Director Michael Hayden told USA Today;
"I would lose all respect for a whole bunch of foreign intelligence agencies if they weren't sitting back, paging through the emails,"
As Trump rises in the polls in relation to Clinton, renewed questions about the Clinton Foundation keep surfacing, as well as old ones, such as a report from the liberal Mother Jones Magazine that the acceptance by the Clintons of large gifts from the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates posed thorny questions about approval of arms deal to these countries by Clinton while she was Secretary of State.
