Interesting article to get you mentally prepared for the PR war that will be coming at Trump for the general:

The Crucifixion of Donald Trump

Doug Wead is a good guy. Met him and exchanged emails with him over time.

He was a major media figure on the Ron Paul campaign.

Basically saying the media and internet/social media are going to after Trump hard. Of course you already knew that.

He stumped the entire mainstream media. Here's just one story.

The Washington Post was announced to have 20 staff members digging up dirt on Trump's entire life. Someone leaked to them a 25-year-old tape of Trump publicist John Miller, on the phone with a reporter, talking up Trump's exploits for publicity—only this Miller fellow seems to talk like Trump and, despite the garbled tape, even sounds like him. After this leak, Trump was asked in a telephone interview whether he had ever employed a John Miller. He went silent and the phone mysteriously disconnected.

This was weird, so everyone covered the story, although it wasn't entirely clear why the old tape was such important news. It was covered all that day, totally swamping earlier coverage of Trump's former Butler allegedly having said un-PC things, and whatever else people had been talking about.

That night toward the end of a live TV interview, the reporter who had been on the other end of the line in that old tape told Megyn Kelly that she had lost her own recording of the conversation 25 years ago when she changed apartments. Kelly was dumbfounded. The only conclusion to be drawn was that Trump himself had leaked the tape. Kelly admitted that their talking about him at that moment was probably what he wanted.

But Trump didn't just own the news cycle. He didn't just get even more publicity merely by leaking an old tape. He stumped the Washington Post, which is on a mission against him. And he stumped the entire mainstream press, which fell for his trick hook, line, and sinker. And at this point, they weren't even sure what had happened.

Meanwhile, Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer about the tape. She brushed it off, going with Trump's stated position that it wasn't him, and adding that even if it were him, who cares? She then asked why a decades-old tape of Trump not saying much of anything is news, but not a decades-old tape of Hillary Clinton bragging about getting an accused pedophile off the hook in court.

Now that all of the press outlets decided that Trump's old tape is newsworthy, it doesn't look good for them to declare that Hillary's old tape isn't newsworthy. This gives a boost to Trump's points about Hillary treating women badly and about the press being dishonest. Well played.

Old news: Trump won legal battle on Trump university case. Stop saying he lied about it.
http://www.breitbart.com/california/2015...sity-case/

Quote:Donald Trump won a key legal battle last week when a federal district court in California partially decertified a class action lawsuit against Trump and the now-defunct Trump University, which once offered real estate classes.
The lawsuit is one of several against Trump regarding the university, and claims that students were lured into the classes with false advertising, “like an infomercial,” with no real hope of recouping their educational investment. The plaintiffs in the case included six former students from California, Missouri, Florida, and New York.

The court allowed the suit to proceed on the claim of liability. However, it found that there was no common claim for damages. The students wanted full refunds, but Trump’s legal team argued, and the court agreed, that some representatives of the class had admitted receiving at least some value from the courses. The result is that each plaintiff would have to proceed with separate legal actions to recover damages, which will be prohibitive for most.

A statement by the Trump legal team said the ruling “validates the fact that Trump University provided a legitimate and valuable real estate education.”

That, coupled “with the fact that 98% of all Trump University students rated the program ‘excellent,’ and was also rated ‘A’ by the Better Business Bureau, will ultimately doom Plaintiffs’ claims.”

(05-16-2016 08:28 PM)911 Wrote:  If Trump did do 1% of what Clinton did to his women (many raped, some even ended up dead), his political career would have been dead in the water.

Compare Clinton with Gary Hart, who some of the older guys on here might remember. Hart was one of the better candidates to emerge from the Dems, with a bit of a western libertarian streak. His career was ruined by just one extramarital affair, whereas Clinton was able to push through and win his nomination despite having had a long trail of affairs (including many non-consensual). Looking back, he was an inside stooge all along.

Ah, but Hart was not just a womaniser, but a stupid womaniser.

When the Democratic primaries first got started up in 1987, the rumours that Hart was playing around started up as well. When confronted with these rumours, Hart smiled into the microphones and said, “Follow me around. I don't care. I'm serious. If anybody wants to put a tail on me, go ahead. They'll be very bored."

So some reporters took him up on his offer and almost immediately found that he was banging 29-year-old “model” Donna Rice.

1988, when US pussy was still worth losing the Presidency over

Apparently it was on a playboy’s yacht with the name Monkey Business. By early May, the Miami Herald reported that it had a photograph of a white-mini-skirted Donna Rice sitting on Gary Hart’s lap on a Bimini dock (although the photograph was not printed until the National Enquirer put it on its front page on June 2). Hart’s wife, Lee, looked tearfully into the cameras and stated baldly that “my husband’s friendship with . . . that woman . . . is entirely innocent.” (She later divorced Hart.) It didn’t matter. Gary Hart was toast. His lifetime ambition to be president was over forever.

Not in a million years would you find Trump daring the press to catch him out cheating on his wife. Fuck, even Cigar Bill would never be that stupid.

Fun fact: the source who broke the story to the press and gave them enough leads to track down Donna Rice was none other than Rice's fellow "model" Dana Weems. Per a 2014 article on the subject when Weems was finally outed...

Quote:She then proceeded to tell me her story, in a way that probably revealed more about her motives than she realized. In 1987, Armandt sold some of Weems’s designs at her bikini boutique under a cabana on Turnberry Isle. Like Rice, Weems had worked as a model, though she told me Rice wasn’t nearly as successful as she was. Rice was an artificial beauty who was “O.K. for commercials, I guess.”

Weems recalled going aboard Monkey Business on the last weekend of March for the same impromptu party at which Hart and his pal Billy Broadhurst, a Louisiana lawyer and lobbyist, met up with Rice, but in her version of events, Hart was hitting on her, not on Rice, and he was soused and pathetic, and she wanted nothing to do with him, but still he followed her around the boat, hopelessly enthralled. . . .

But Donna — she had no standards, Weems told me. Weems figured Donna wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe, sleeping her way into the inner sanctum of the White House, and that’s why she agreed to go on the cruise to Bimini. After that weekend, Donna wouldn’t shut up about Hart or give the pictures a rest. It all made Weems sick to her stomach, especially this idea of Hart’s getting away with it and becoming president. “What an idiot you are!” Weems said, as if talking to Hart through the years. “You’re gonna want to run the country? You moron!”

And so when Weems read Fiedler’s story in The Herald, she decided to call him, while Armandt stood by, listening to every word. “I didn’t realize it was going to turn into this whole firecracker thing,” she told me. It was Armandt’s idea, Weems said, to try to get cash by selling the photos, and that’s why she asked Fiedler if he might pay for them (though she couldn’t actually remember much about that part of the conversation). Weems said she hadn’t talked to either woman — Rice or Armandt — since shortly after the scandal. She lived alone and used a wheelchair because of multiple sclerosis. She was surprised her secret had lasted until now.

“I’m sorry to ruin his life,” she told me, offhandedly, near the end of our conversation. “I was young. I didn’t know it would be that way.”

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Hart's downfall could be an interesting story to analyse one of these days from a Red Pill perspective. He lacked game and paid close to the ultimate price for it.

So in actuality, the war is between Trump (and supposedly Adelson) and the puppeteers pulling Clinton's strings. In that sense, the fact that it's Adelson is still something to keep a watchful eye on, cause he's used to funding puppets and there is little point for us to support Trump if he ends up as just another whiteface on a stick. With that said, if Adelson only wants support for Israel in exchange for his money and leaves his paws off of trade, immigration, guns, and healthcare, then that is a bargain I'd be happy for Trump to make.

Adelson is the epitomy of the status quo establishment. Is there really no way for Trump to fundraise through grass roots donations? Bernie was able to do it. I'm sure Trump as a businessman can figure out a way to make some cash without taking money from the elites who have been benefitting from the status quo. Is it really just about Israel? I find that very hard to believe. Adelson has been a major Republican funder for decades and all the cuckservatives have gone to him begging in the past.
Liberty Sea · 2016-05-17 08:04:00 · #32342
The money needed for the general election is on a complete different scale from that of the primary. It is estimated that a candidate would need 1 billion dollar and above. Hillary would probably approach two billion. Small dollar donation won't be enough for that. Do you believe one can become a temporary billionaire through small donation? Just Bernie can make it in the primary doesn't mean Bernie himself can make it in the GE.

Even if Trump is to get extremely, supremely cost-efficient, he would still need around 200 mil, which is still too much to get through small donation alone. And that figure is already overly optimistic, since his campaign has estimated that he would need around 1 billion.

Trump blasts Tony Blair for Iraq War ‘disaster,’ says Britain should stand up to US presidents

Quote:Presumptive Republican nominee for the US presidential election Donald Trump has attacked former Prime Minister Tony Blair for the Iraq War “disaster,” saying he did a “terrible job” by invading.
In an interview with ITV, Trump warned that the Chilcot Inquiry into the 2003 invasion, which will finally be published on July 6, will not look good for the former Labour PM.

“I don’t see it as war crimes. I just think he goes down as somebody who did a terrible job.

“[President George W.] Bush got us into it, that’s a terrible, terrible thing that happened,” he said.

“Tony Blair made a mistake. You can’t just go in haphazardly. You folks got involved in that mess just as we did and now look at it.”

Trump said UK leaders should put the needs of their own country before that of America, and would get more respect if they stood up to US presidents.

“I’m surprised somebody would see the Bush relationship as being that important.”

His comments come a day after he said he is unlikely to have a “very good relationship” with Prime Minister David Cameron.

He also called newly elected London Mayor Sadiq Khan “ignorant” and in need of an IQ test because he criticized Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the US.

In response, Khan has invited Trump to London to meet his wife and teenage daughters.

The capital’s first Muslim mayor is standing by his attack on “ignorant” Trump, but has now offered the Republican an olive branch.

“I invite Donald Trump to come to London. Meet my wife and daughters. Meet my friends and neighbors. Meet Londoners who are British: they’re Londoners, they’re Muslim,” he told ITV.

“You know the great thing about London? Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists… we don’t just tolerate each other, we respect, we celebrate, we embrace.

“And my concern is this. Are you inadvertently making our countries less safe by giving the impression there is a clash of civilizations?

“Are you doing the job of Daesh and the extremists for them by saying the West hates Islam? I am the West!” he said, using an Arabic pejorative term for Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).

Yes and the #1 worst case of abuse out of their list of 50, the woman the NYT picked to lead their article, had nothing but glowing recollections of her time with Trump, recollections which were distorted and edited out from the NYT of course. Even the large picture of her that the Times selected showed her in a victim-like pose. They must have selected that one from a long photoshoot to buttress their false narrative, the same way deCoutere posed with that pathetic false victim sad puppy stare for all her Ghomeshi trial interviews, while off the record on all those tapes she was all giggly, enjoying the ride with her post-wall co-conspirators GFs.

If turn out drops to 60% like it was before Obama, instead of 65%, while the vote goes 90-10 instead of 95-5, that is a huge swing away from the Democrats: it would mean Hillary loses about 18% of the black support that Obama had.
