Did my own research into the Drumpf thing, turns out it's nonsense like most things CURRENTYEAR-man says.

There's nothing that connects the name Drumpf to Frederick Trump, at most his name was originally Trumpf and they dropped the pf sound to anglicize it.

Baptismal records show that even Frederick Trump's father(the Don's great grandfather) was named Trump/Trumpf, there was never a D in their family name.

Gwenda Blair claims in her book on the Trump family that they were originally named Drumpf but changed it to Trump in the 17th century sometime during the 30 Years War. She doesn't share how she got this information and there's nothing I can find to back it up. She also contradicts herself later and says Frederick Trump changed his name from Drumpf in the late 1800s, which is demonstrably false as I pointed out above.

Drumpf isn't even a real German name as far as I can tell, there are no notable Drumpfs and it has no German meaning. It's just a nonsense word with a pf added at the end to make it sound German.

Not that any of this silliness matters.

I've noticed all the people I know who still say "Drumpf" are unemployed.

How likely would you estimate it is that Trump wins the republican nomination and get to face the democratic nominee? I'm wondering this with regards to the public and establishment doing everything it takes to shut him down.

It's practically a done deal. The establishment has thrown every dirty trick in the book at him and failed spectacularly. They don't have anything left.

It will come down to the last day, June 7th, but at this point it looks like there is no way Trump won't have enough delegates to win the Republican nomination. Nothing is set in stone though.

Unless Cruz doesn't play ball (he's said on numerous occasions that a brokered convention would lead to "a revolt") or he's assassinated, the chances of him being in the general are 100%.

NYTs did a breakdown the other day. Trump has a very plausible path to get enough delegates to avoid a brokered convention.

You don't have to know them personally to understand the general sentiment against them. A little bit of research would do the trick. A lot of Jews nowadays can be nice people, so knowing some wouldn't even automatically help you understand the sentiment based on personal experience.

But Jew-hate or not - calling Jews white is a deplorable custom and it would be greatly appreciated if more people were aware of the differences and not use that description for them anymore. It would be like calling Indians black. Just because the skin color can sometimes look the same doesn't make them the same ethnicity.

I work with a lot of Ivy grads and they all Bernie supporters. I'm the only Trump supporter around these parts and I have seen their glee turn dark in the last few weeks.

Another disturbing note: my students in China, every single one, says "Trump hates everyone, how can you like Trump?" Many students ask me if I like Hillary or Trump, which is funny that even they know that will be the election. The issue is, everyone is hearing the same message outside the USA, Trump is a maniac, Hitler, world ender. I explained he an American, for America. He wants taxes on Chinese selling things in the USA just like China does to USA things in China, no more Chinese going to the USA to have babies and a better America for Americans. Everyone nods their heads and says, OK, I get it.

So I go to the dentist today for my six month checkup. The hygienist, a 60 something San Francisco born and raised woman, is making small talk and she mentions Trump. Well I start gearing up for a fight. I very cockily say "well I like Trump!" She goes "me too!!" She proceeds to talk my ear off throughout the appointment about how great Trump is and how he is what America needs. She also says this is the most exciting election in her life time.

I said I meet a surprising number of people in SF who like Trump. She says "me too! We don't advertise it because the anti Trump people are so intolerant, but I talk to a lot of people in SF, many life time democrats , who are going to vote for Trump."

She also said the press is full of BS about Trump and most people see right through it. She mentioned the Chicago riots and how it was Bernie and Hillary people doing it, yet they blamed it on Trump which is infuriating. I said yeah, that's why Trump outperformed in Illinois.

If they do take it that far I will then be 100% sure(rather then 90% now) that they(GOP) prefer Hillary in office rather than Trump because if they do him wrong they can kiss a republican candidates chances goodbye.
