This is not correct at all. J Edgar Hoover ruled the FBI with an iron fist, not because he was such a swell guy, but because he had insurance files on every single president, politician, and political activist. Everyone was very afraid of him. He played dirty and was innovative in his thinking. I can only think of the Pinkertons as an innovative equal on his level.

These FBI agents of today are both Democrats and Republicans. Comey's deputy is a Democrat and he and his wife are friends with the Clintons. Comey himself served on boards with Clinton connections and knows them.

Obama appointed him, don't forget that.

Comey is being forced to do his job because someone made a horrifyingly terrific mistake. Don't think for one second that they would not sweep this under the rug if it were possible to do so. If God himself is willing to let everything get exposed left and right, no amount of evil can possibly hope to cover it up. No one has a choice in that matter.

The FBI wasn't always some major force in the US, it had an infancy stage.

What are you talking about? You should watch that Hoover movie if you have a couple of hours to spare, or read a few books about him and the history of the FBI. Their infancy stage was very short and started with Hoover himself at the very beginning. He turned it into a force well before he destroyed the KKK. The FBI has never been a force to fuck with, with the notable exception of this and the Nixon case. We could delve into Mafia related blunders, but those are not all that straightforward. In the long run they pinched nearly all of the old style mafia.

Only right now, do we see a sign of political hackery going on inside. Alot of that has to do with a standing president being involved in the investigation, a presidential candidate being at the center of it, and several of the aides around both.

This has not really happened before.

Before anyone brings up Nixon, Hoover died the month before Mark Felt (AKA Deepthroat started feeding the press), and someone else was appointed to be the new FBI Director. Nixon was also running for reelection. If Obama was running for re-election right now, this would be a non-story, in his regard, I hate to say it.

A Mark Felt in this situation would actually be McCabe leaking to the press things for them to print. He was the Associate Director back then, number 2 in charge of the FBI.

Today, all of these guys at the top rank and file of the FBI are Democrats. Comey and McCabe. The DOJ is 100% completely Democrat from senior level to Lynch. This is not up for debate folks. These are facts. Read that WSJ article and you will realize the first investigation was dead on arrival. Add in the fact that there was no hardcore proof they deleted the email and avoided the subpoenas, Comey could easily drop it, and everyone at his level and above (in the Obama Administration) would get off his ass.

Now that all this new stuff was found, he cannot ignore it and is obligate to process it, otherwise he would get into felony territory on his own hide.

Also, your statement about this is why you cannot have politics in federal stuff, is off-point and not realistic. It will always be there. Whether Comey or a future director needs more funding or a new stronger law to fight terrorism or mafias, they will have to play. Hoover played it anytime he needed to. Politics affects everyone and anything around it. It is naive to think otherwise as well as to think you can structure a system of governance around that problem. The closest thing to that is lifetime appointments, like the Supreme Court. Even then, that isn't perfect outside of judiciary appointments.

This is yet again, another situation of "Who watches the watchers?" The FBI is not designed well to investigate a president or operate functionally without DOJ support. Our system isn't foolproof, and very few people ever snitch on their bosses, which is why at some point voters have to be responsible and elect the right folks into office. Our style of democracy is called a Representative Democracy for a good reason.
