J Edgar Hoover ruled the FBI with an iron fist, not because he was such a swell guy, but because he had insurance files on every single president, politician, and political activist. Everyone was very afraid of him. He played dirty and was innovative in his thinking. I can only think of the Pinkertons as an innovative equal on his level.

These FBI agents of today are both Democrats and Republicans. Comey's deputy is a Democrat and he and his wife are friends with the Clintons. Comey himself served on boards with Clinton connections and knows them.

Obama appointed him, don't forget that.

Comey is being forced to do his job because someone made a horrifyingly terrific mistake. Don't think for one second that they would not sweep this under the rug if it were possible to do so. If God himself is willing to let everything get exposed left and right, no amount of evil can possibly hope to cover it up. No one has a choice in that matter.

If anything that would have the opposite effect. Comey already told us what was in the emails from a high level (classified intel). Trump had to have heard gossip or rumors from someone. Problem is, when you have membership in certain circles with losers inside it, like you alluded to with that uncle comparison, you probably should not talk too much yourself about that uncle/loser. No doubt sharp liberals will be looking to see how much Trump knew from jumpstreet.

Hillary will only likely dump Huma once she gets charged with something. Right now, they want to keep up appearances. The reason why they want Comey to fully explain as well as, get talks going with the FBI immediately, so that they can figure out how bad the damage is. You cannot plan without a damage assessment. The crime rollercoaster and a political campaign do not mix well together.

If they charge Huma with a felony on Friday for example, they would like to know right now, so that they can properly put in the distance needed and have statements ready to go. If Huma could be likely charged next year, then they will not do anything or Huma will give a statement that she needs to step away from work, etc.

Their problem is that last time, they had senior sources in the DOJ (Thanks to Wikileaks exposing that!), that were constantly informing them on any and all movements regarding the Email Server Investigation. If she was using an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird it would be trivial to copy the emails as backups, since they would be stored locally already. Lots of ways of doing it, and a technically competent person could set it up to run automatically without bogging down the computer noticeably or missing any emails.

If they used separate machines, it would be slightly harder but still relatively easy to pull the emails onto his machine, if he had physical access to hers.
