Steve Sailer has a great article here:

http://takimag.com/article/a_rape_hoax_for_book_lovers_steve_sailer

Quote:As a work of journalism, it’s most interesting for what it inadvertently reveals about the bizarre legends that seem plausible to American media consumers in 2014.

As a creative work of art, however, drawing (consciously or unconsciously) upon multiple influences such as the blockbuster Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hate porn franchise and the Shattered Glass biopic of magazine article fabricator Stephen Glass, it is more impressive. It’s first-rate propaganda, and Erdely’s adroit techniques should be studied by those concerned about how gullible Americans are.

Just a quick word about "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." It's not based on fact, as the legend goes.

The author at first claimed the story was inspired by watching his friend, Lisbeth, get gang raped, while he stood by and did nothing.

But years later, he "told a colleague at Expo that he had heard the story secondhand. For all his friends knew, he'd made the whole thing up." Ironically that was revealed in Rolling Stone.

RE: Rolling Stone: Brutal Rape at UVA
Jackie, the interviewee, wrote a letter in support of Dean Eramo after the dean started getting a lot of flak because of the article. It's linked in Sailer's piece but might be useful to have here.

http://www.cavalierdaily.com/article/201...dean-eramo

Quote:Dear UVA Administration,

Of all the professors, deans, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia, Dean Nicole Eramo has made the most significant and, ultimately, the most positive impact on my life. Dean Eramo has truly saved my life. If it were not for her, I do not know if I could be alive today. When I came to Dean Eramo my first year, I was depressed and suicidal...I was barely hanging on. Dean Eramo was helpful and understanding and, above all, compassionate. She listened attentively to my story and provided me with several resources. At the time, I was scared and I felt alone and I was in no position to pursue legal or University action. Dean Eramo gave me the power to make my own decisions--something so small that made me feel like I finally had some sense of control in my life. Eventually, Dean Eramo put me in contact with Emily Renda and other members of One Less. This action alone was probably the best thing anyone has ever done for me. I can't imagine what my life would be like now if it were not for Nicole Eramo. She has changed everything for the better. She has made me a better person. She has helped me get through the most difficult time in my life and has been with me every step of the way. I have said it before and I will say it again and again--Dean Nicole Eramo is an asset to this university. I do not want to go to the University of Virginia if she is not a resource for students in need of help in the aftermath of sexual violence. There is no one more qualified or more capable of doing this job. Dean Eramo is above and beyond the best resource the University has.

- Jackie, Rolling Stone Interviewee

Too much armchair psychology on this statement is probably pointless, but it's the only direct words we have from Jackie.

The Rolling Stone Saga: Everything That's Wrong with How We Deal with Campus Rape

http://www.nationalreview.com/node/393784/print

Quote:If, then, Jackie was brutalized, it would be in her interests, as well as those who sympathize with her plight, to see the police, and not the university, investigate this incident. This approach, of course, also would introduce a measure of due process that the University of Virginia’s proposed new sexual-assault policy denies.

In the criminal-justice system, the accused students’ attorney could fully participate at trial, including the right to cross-examine the accuser and other relevant witnesses. The students would receive the right, under Brady, to discovery of all potentially exculpatory evidence and the right to be tried by a jury of their peers. UVA’s proposed new sexual-assault policy gives an accused student none of these rights.
[…]
Quote:There are few areas in journalism in which telling a story solely from one side — and, like the Group of 88 Duke professors in the Duke case, simply assuming that the preferred side is telling the truth — would be deemed acceptable. But campus sexual assault is one of those areas, perhaps because too many reporters (like the Group of 88) are ideologically inclined to believe the accuser. To take one example from Rolling Stone: Erdely uncritically quotes from a person she describes as “attorney Wendy Murphy, who has filed Title IX complaints and lawsuits against schools including UVA.” There’s no reference to the fact that Murphy was caught in guilt-presuming, factually inaccurate statements over and over and over again in the Duke lacrosse case. Murphy confirmed Erdely’s preferred narrative; that her source should have no credibility was irrelevant.

Erdely is a model of objectivity compared with the three most active reporters on this issue, the New York Times’s Richard Pérez-Peña, BuzzFeed’s Katie Baker, or Huffington Post’s Tyler Kingkade. Pérez-Peña’s treatment of former Yale quarterback Patrick Witt, in which the New York Times went to print even though it didn’t know the identity of the woman who had accused Witt or the allegations that she made, stands as an examplar of journalistic malpractice.

RE: Rolling Stone: Brutal Rape at UVA
Question for guys here:

Does a girl (even a hot 18-year-old girl) who’s been punched in the face and is lying on a bed of broken glass as she gets raped by a succession of men pass your boner test?

No chance I could get it up under those circumstances. The RS article mentions the room smelled like weed, and I get turned on by some fucked up stuff while high, but even then, I wouldn’t even come close. I suspect that’s the norm. Chicks commonly have rape fantasies, but you never hear about them among men who aren’t on the far sociopathic fringe.

If all seven guys were pledges, and Phi Psi apparently has a pledge class of 20, it’s insane to think that 7/20 guys could perform under those conditions.

Even if it were 6/80 (80 being the full membership; the guy who used a bottle couldn’t get it up), no way could 7.5 percent of men—far from finding this act repulsive in the extreme—get hard and go through with it. To me, that clinches it. It’s impossible this isn’t greatly exaggerated or misreported.

100 realtalking points to the first pundit who goes on national TV and makes that argument.

Right. I love sex when I'm stoned, but only in "safe" places. That is, if it's someone I'm comfortable with. If I were stoned and shit got ugly I think I'd involuntarily urinate. That was yet another one of the details I wasn't comfortable with. Pot doesn't make people go loco; it makes them mellow and/or trippy.

I'd say anywhere from 1/10 to 1/2 women have rape fantasies, ranging from being raped by a complete stud to a wretched beast. I'd say it's more like 1/100 men that fantasize about raping. If she were pulling a train, that would be one thing, but violently? Nuh uh.

Too much armchair psychology on this statement is probably pointless, but it's the only direct words we have from Jackie.

I don't think it's pointless to speculate on Jackie's psychology from this one statement. It sounds like someone with borderline personality disorder (BPD) who is in their semi-worshipping "let's put this person on a pedestal" mode.

If so, poor Jackie. I've seen women with BPD, and they are miserable and unable to control their mood swings, and perfectly capable of making up lurid stories like a gang rape one. Then again, they are really great fucks...we have a thread about them somewhere.

I'm proud to be a part of a forum that called out A Rape on Campus for being a lie long before anyone else questioned the story.

Q) How do you know a woman has rape fantasies?
A) She's a woman.

I didn't understand this when I was a teenager. I believed - from watching TV and from female relatives offering me well-meaning but spectacularly bad advice - that girls wanted "nice" boys who would "respect" them.

So when I was a thirsty young man, I couldn't understand why girls would seem so interested in me at first when they thought I was a working class bit of rough, but seemed disappointed when I tried to respect the shit out of them.

It did not compute. Pussies were drying up left, right and centre. I was a lonely, wandering young buck stumbling towards what looked like lush oases of poon, only to taste the dry sand of poosy desert when I got there.

I was Lawrence of No Labia

And I had no idea why. Was I not being nice enough? Was I somehow failing to connect with them emotionally? Was it because I had no money?

It was a pussy puzzle, wrapped in a menstrual mystery, wrapped in panties.

Then a girlfriend surprised the life out of me when, mid-coitus, she demanded I choke her. She was a sweet little upper middle class girl, both parents were partners in their own law firm, went to a private Catholic high school and gave out soup to the homeless and whatnot. She said she was a virgin. Angel

One thing led to another and it turned out she had a fuckload of other kinks too that I didn't even know women had. Like being "forcibly" taken by an entire rugby team. I'm pretty sure, like a lot of sexual fantasies, it was just a fantasy. She didn't actually want to be raped. But the thought of it made her gush like a waterfall.

I had stumbled on to a secret that players have known since the first caveman sex-choked the first cave-slut: women are dirty bitches. But nobody had told me so I continued in ignorance.

Asking for it.

Then the next girl I boffed more than once came out with similar demands, except she wanted to be tied up and spanked.

I thought "man, why do I always get the weird ones?". tard But I did it anyway.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, in my experience all girls fantasise about being overpowered and dominated sexually. The details vary but the core truth remains - rape is the most common female sexual fantasy.

I've never been into it. I'll play along, but try not to think too much about the rape angle, because it does nothing for my libido.

And I think most men who've never been to prison are the same. Rape porn exists, but it's a niche market. It's probably less popular with men than other odd fetishes, like housewife porn or granny porn.

Or furries.

So why, in spite of rape falling by about 80% since the 70's, won't feminists shut the fuck up about rape?

In part, it's because rape is always on their minds. Because they're women.

RE: Rolling Stone: Brutal Rape at UVA
Quote:Q) How do you know a woman has rape fantasies?
A) She's a woman.

Right. Personally I’d guess that the proportion of women into rape is somewhere south of 100%, but if you change “rape” to the broader term "submission,” you get awful close to 100%.

It’s an interesting paradox—a disconnect between male & female sexuality, maybe—that although the essential female fantasy is submission to a man, and the essential male fantasy is a woman submitting, only women find the submission in rape arousing.

If you’ll excuse the armchair psychologizing, my theory is that for women, rape represents complete submission, while for men it represents the complete absence of submission.

The male model of submission, in many cases, involves a much more active female—one who’s so desperate to fuck you that she’s making the first move, unzipping your pants and going down on you, etc.

Even for men with fairly extreme dominance fantasies, the complete and consensual submission of the woman is still central to the story. The basic appeal is that even though you’re choking her, tying her up, spitting on her, writing JACKR’S FILTHY WHORE on her ass with a laundry pen, etc., the girl is aroused.

I’m sure there are guys who get off on sex with non-consenting women, but they would be very, very rare, because it’s a 180 degree reversal of typical male sexuality.

RE: Rolling Stone: Brutal Rape at UVA
We really need to have an Amanda Marcotte thread. It does not look good for any outfit that calls itself a news outfit to have this fact denying drama creator on staff.

Here is the tweet in question:

https://twitter.com/AmandaMarcotte/statu...1738898432

Here is an article from the right-wing site Breitbart about this tweet:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/...ham-piece/

I have no respect for Amanda Marcotte's ability to be objective, especially when it comes to false rape accusations. She stubbornly held on to believing the Duke Lacrosse accusations, even after the prosecutor dropped the charges:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...80_pf.html

From that article:

Quote:John Edwards has hired Amanda Marcotte, of the liberal site Pandagon, to blog for his presidential campaign. But the trouble with bloggers is that they leave a sometimes inflammatory trail.

As noted by OpinionJournal's James Taranto, Marcotte wrote last month of the Duke rape case that she "had to listen to how the poor dear lacrosse players at Duke are being persecuted just because they held someone down and [sexually assaulted] her against her will -- not rape, of course, because the charges have been thrown out. Can't a few white boys sexually assault a black woman anymore without people getting all wound up about it? So unfair."

When real journalists started holding Amanda to task for her drama-creating behavior and poor ability to accept objective truth, she deleted the blog entry showing that she still believed the Lacrosse players were guilty, even after the charges had been dropped.

I'm proud to be a part of a forum that called out A Rape on Campus for being a lie long before anyone else questioned the story.

She has some other little gems on there too with the tag #CrimingWhileWhite:

Quote:@AmandaMarcotte: Going 75 in a 55. Told the cop I had a fight with my boyfriend. He let me go. #CrimingWhileWhite (Also true.)

@AmandaMarcotte: Going 50 in a 30. Told the cop I had my period. He let me go. #CrimingWhileWhite (True, though.)

It never occurs to her that #CrimingWhileFemale would be the more accurate tag.

Despite some contrary opinions even in such notable magazine like Time, the rape paranoia goes on.

Here an article from September 2014 even by a feminist:

http://time.com/3444749/camille-paglia-t...hend-evil/

Quote:Wildly overblown claims about an epidemic of sexual assaults on American campuses are obscuring the true danger to young women, too often distracted by cellphones or iPods in public places: the ancient sex crime of abduction and murder. Despite hysterical propaganda about our “rape culture,” the majority of campus incidents being carelessly described as sexual assault are not felonious rape (involving force or drugs) but oafish hookup melodramas, arising from mixed signals and imprudence on both sides.

And yet they continue with the same shit.

I want to do a full breakdown of the 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted hoax. I think we need a separate thread for the topic. Has that been done before? We need to really get to the bottom of rape hysteria and rape inflation.

I found the study from 2006 that came up with the 1 in 5 stat. It's long and filled with filler and gobbledygook. Let's tear that fucker apart. I'm even suggesting using FOIA to make the study less opaque so we can find its flaws.

I have some time around Xmas.

Expect a thread soon ( unless it's been done before).

There's some smart fuckers on this forum who are extremely numerate and I will need your help.

Take care of those titties for me.

Quote:UVA Faculty Propose Extending Frat Ban Through School Year

University of Virginia faculty will seek to ban fraternities from campus for at least the rest of the academic year as investigators sort through a report of an alleged gang rape two years ago.

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences plans to vote this month on a non-binding resolution to extend the suspension until August, according to Alison Booth, an English professor. A ban through Jan. 9 was put in place last month after Rolling Stone magazine published an article in which a female freshman said she was assaulted by seven members of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

“Many of us feel it would just not be tolerable to open up the spring semester with the fraternities on the same terms,” Booth said in an interview today. She told a faculty meeting yesterday, “The whole culture is sick.”

The fucking English department has a say in it? You know that's jam-packed with SJW's.

But at least there's this:

Quote:Article Scrutiny

Media critics at outlets such as the Washington Post and Los Angeles Times have questioned Rolling Stone’s journalistic practices after the reporter acknowledged in interviews that she didn’t contact the men accused of the rape because of an agreement with Jackie. They also wrote that parts of the story were implausible or not independently verified.

On campus, even some activists who believe Jackie’s story are questioning the article’s approach. Ashley Brown, head of One Less, a student group at UVA that helps sexual-assault survivors, said it was unduly critical of Dean Nicole Eramo, who oversees the Sexual Misconduct Board, and stereotyped female students as southern belles.

“People could tell that the article had been sensationalized,” Brown said. “If people call your writing and your credibility as a reporter into question, they’re also going to call her story into question. She is inadvertently discrediting Jackie as a survivor and her story.”

‘On the Ball’

Much of Erdely’s story was “on the ball,” Brown said. She said she knows Jackie personally and the woman had given the same account earlier this year at “Take Back the Night,” a weeklong annual program at UVA where survivors of sexual assault tell their stories in meetings that aren’t open to the public.

Rolling Stone said in a statement that it extensively reported and fact-checked the story, and “we found Jackie to be entirely credible and courageous.” Erdely declined to be interviewed, the magazine said.

“If it’s a matter of a few facts being incorrect, that won’t change the outrage on campus and need to make fundamental changes,” said Booth, the English professor.

Students taking breaks between classes were less concerned with the veracity of Jackie’s story than with a dearth of corroborating evidence in the article, particularly the reaction by her friends, who were more concerned with their future social status than in helping a friend in need, according to the article.

There's more, but I won't post it all. The thing to be on guard for is that the administration (doubtlessly full of people uncritically believing the story) looks like it's trying to rush through a bunch of measures. If the whole truth ever does come out it will be too late.

This video is absolutely brilliant! LOL!!

The music alone and the subtlety of its use is worth the price of admission.

It also captures the rather obvious -- but not much spoken of -- fact that the Rolling Stone story strictly follows the rigorous conventions of gang rape porn which is beloved -- and I mean, truly beloved -- by many, many females.

Please do yourself a favor and watch it.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...
