Just seems like a person who takes herself too seriously, who sees victims at every turn and realized that much like a woman approaching the wall, she wanted to do something to hold on to what little relevance she had. Even if she had to lie about it, her hamster is strong.
Here is a link to her Rolling Stone articles http://www.rollingstone.com/contributor/...bin-erdely
News Flash: She seems sort of fucked up. No surprise, I know.
She stopped posting there three days ago, when people started raising questions of the story's veracity. She won't answer any questions now.
She writes an incendiary article that could ruin lives, and she runs like a coward when the hard questions are asked.
Take care of those titties for me.

Rolling Stone closed the comment section on the article.
Probably the RS lawyers instructed everyone to stop talking about it.

(12-02-2014 10:55 PM)The Lizard of Oz Wrote: Here is a truly remarkable passage from the Slate piece. Essentially the stories of ostensible "survivors" are treated like gospel truth. Not only can they not be challenged -- even questions about details are not permitted since they might upset the survivor -- or so says one Brian Head who presides over the UVa "sexual assault peer education group One in Four". It seems that even Rosin and co are beginning to admit that such complete lack of questioning might lead to some problems.
Quote:We found Jackie and she agreed to talk to us. Then, at the last minute she backed out. She had already been interviewed by the Washington Post for a story that has not yet run, and she had picked up that the media had some doubts—something that she is understandably sensitive to. What became clear from talking to Jackie’s supporters at UVA is that the community of victim advocates operates by a very specific code. “The first thing as a friend we must say is, ‘I believe you and I am here to listen,’ ” says Brian Head, president of UVA’s all-male sexual assault peer education group One in Four. Head and others believe that questioning a victim is a form of betrayal, because it will make her feel judged and all the more reluctant to ever speak about what happened. None of the people we spoke to had asked Jackie who the men were, and in fact none of them had any idea. They did not press her on any details about the incident.
Years back, there was an attention whore named Tania Head who told an incredible story about being a 9-11 survivor who was present in the south tower when the second plane hit. She garnered national media attention and became a mini-celebrity with her tales of how she crawled through smoke and flames and somehow made it out alive. She even went on to found a 9/11 survivor-support group.
Turned out her entire story was fabricated bullshit. But at the time nobody questioned her story. Why you ask?
Quote:“She never shared those details, and it was nothing we wanted to probe,” said Alison Crowther, the mother of Welles Remy Crowther, a man who died on 9/11 and who is credited with rescuing a number of people from the south tower, including, by Ms. Head’s account, Ms. Head. “I felt it was too private and painful for her.”
It was "too private" and "too painful" to verify any of her incredible claims.
Sound familiar?
Feminists are essentially weaponizing people's natural sensitivity towards actual assault victims as a way to erode due-process rights for men.

Yes, You Should Be Skeptical about the UVA Rape Story
The National Review's top 4 online articles right now are devoted to this story (the one linked to by Dusty here being the front story and the best of the 4). One of the four is a bizarre piece of Erdely apologia, by the way.
This has become the story of the moment, and I continue to believe that if the facts on the ground are fully disclosed, it can become a watershed cultural event.
The SJWs are well on their way to hedging their bets, distancing themselves from Erdely, and whining about how the focus on some mere "reporting lapses" by Rolling Stone obscures the greater "rape culture" issue which remains more pressing than ever. But try as they might, they can't run away from it. If and when the facts are revealed and the story is conclusively shown to be a hoax, they will have lost their sense of impunity and invincibility which, more than anything else, is what sustains their power.
For that to happen, though, the facts must be painstakingly unraveled one after another. That has to be the focus at the moment.

RE: Rolling Stone: Brutal Rape at UVA
Incredibly -- and contrary to what most people probably assume -- there is still no police investigation underway of this alleged gang rape.

Quote:No Formal Police Investigation Yet in UVA Rape Case
While questions mount regarding the credibility of an account of an alleged gang rape at a University of Virginia fraternity, police have yet to open a formal investigation.
University officials have said—as recently as Dec. 2—that they have been instructed by police not to discuss the specific incident because it is the subject of a police inquiry. But TIME has learned that so far, that inquiry has not crossed the threshold for the Charlottesville Police Department to treat it as a criminal investigation. Because the alleged incident took place at a fraternity house off campus, it falls under the jurisdiction of municipal law enforcement rather than the university’s own campus police.
Police had previously confirmed that UVA President Teresa Sullivan had contacted the department to request a criminal investigation and said they were reviewing a published account of the alleged incident. But police have not yet accumulated enough information to take the matter beyond an inquiry and open a formal investigation.
Asked by TIME for a response, Charlottesville Police spokesman Captain Gary Pleasants said he could not confirm that a formal investigation was underway and reiterated a previous statement that the department was “evaluating the next steps.” He added, “In most cases, a formal investigation would be launched when a victim of a crime or witness to that crime makes a report to the police.”
This is truly amazing -- an alleged "brutal gang rape" by **7 students** has been reported in a national magazine, the University of Virginia has suspended all fraternity activities, the reputations of many men have been gravely damaged -- and the alleged incident is apparently not enough to warrant even starting a police investigation (which most people would have assumed was ongoing).
What does that tell us about the nature of this "incident"?

I hope this does not get stalled out because she never talks to the police because she's "too traumatized" to have half a frat full of brutal serial rapists put away.

LOL! A new state slogan:
Virginia: Where troopers can take speeding senior citizens like my dad in for questioning, but can't be bothered to find seven violent sex offenders.

I once witnessed a guy attacking another guy in a car in an apparent road rage incident. I called 911 and told them what I was watching. Both guys departed. The dispatcher told me, if there's no victim, there is no crime.
If Jackie refuses to complain, then the crime does not exist. I'm sure there are avenues that law enforcement can follow, but ultimately, if Jackie refuses to testify, there's not much the officials can do.

I really hope we don't just abandon that Chapter at UVA. They just suspended their operations and agreement with the University.
I wouldn't read too much into it. It's a good PR move to have everyone take sensitivity training classes.
But the ongoing pressure will be immense. I can't imagine what it's like to be in that chapter, that fraternity, any fraternity right now. There's a witch hunt on. And as long as Jackie refuses to even file a police report, the whole thing will drag on.
