Muhammad Ali, larger than life. In his day he was arguably more famous than any other man on Earth, sports or not. I'm not sure it would be possible to duplicate his level of fame.
And his biggest fight of all was the Rumble in the Jungle in Zaire, where everyone thought he would get beaten badly. Ali had just come off of a 3 year period of inactivity due to his protest of the Vietnam War. Foreman was a goddamn gorilla and had just handed Fraiser an epic ass beating, who in turn had beaten Ali.

Last thursday I went to the Feyenoord (Rotterdam, NLD) - Sevilla match. My best live sportexperience ever.
The banner represents the victory of the dutch Zilvervloot (silverfleet) against the spanish armada.

A thousand words cannot describe what you will see here.

I don't know who this guy is, I'm not too familiar with the team besides the nation they are from, but I'm sure anyone who has true passion for their team can relate to this..

This is from 2014, but it's one of the best one-hand catches I've ever seen. UCF wide receiver J.J. Worton catching the go-ahead touchdown against Temple with 1:16 left:

And a nominee for best one-handed catch ever:

Argentina vs Mexico in the 2006 World Cup in extra time. Incredible technique for the game winning goal. Mexico had a great team that year.

Chelsea vs Arsenal in the EPL 2008. Again incredible technique from long range to swerve it off the post.

Euro final 1992

This was never suppose to happen, but it did happen. Denmark qualified just 10 days before kick off, because of the war in Yugoslavia. We were underdogs like the world had never seen before. Somehow we ended up in the final with Germany and all the odds against us, but the whole world was on our side, cheering on us, and we won God Damn It, we won.

We might had lost a chunk of our homeland to the Germans in 1864, but that night in June in 1992, we took it back.

World Cup 2014 was an incredible event. So many upsets, so many improbabilities! Much excitement.

Entire competition, almost all played offense, which made for very enjoyable and nail-biting experience. Everybody except for Argentina. And that eventually was their undoing, much to my delight. It probably was due to the 4-0 beating they received at the hands of Germans in 2010. After Maradona's taunting.

Starting with the first game, Spain vs Netherlands, the "Flying Dutchman", eventually leading to 1-5 upset:

The incredible Brazil-Germany game, where the mighty have fallen 1-7. I was at the bar where I overheard "Look, they're doing it again!":

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

2015 game 6 Stanley Cup final. Blackhawks win their 3rd cup in 6 years. Extra special for me because I was there in the United Center to see it live with my son. I remember driving through hurricane like conditions that night to get to the game. Still can't believe I got to witness the winning and presentation of the Cup that night.

RE: Sport moments that send shivers down your spine
For Blue Jays fans (or Toronto sports fans in general) this was one of the craziest games ever. After making the playoffs for the first time in 22 years, they fall down 2-0 to Texas. After rallying back to tie the series 2-2, this happens in the top of the seventh:

The complete angst of pent-up frustration of Toronto fans comes out. The Raptors kept getting knocked out in the first round after winning their division. The Leafs had only made the playoffs once in the past decade and ended up blowing a 3 goal lead in the third period of game 7.

The throwing of beer cans on the field was pretty classless but in context it's easy to see how charged up this fanbase was after so many years of futility. Then the bottom of the seventh happened. The Rangers defence kicked it around a bit and then this happens:

I have never screamed at a TV for so long in my life before.

^^^
I would have thought that for Blue Jays fans, the best moment would be Joe Carter's series winning homerun off of the barrel finder back in 1993.

This is one of the most memorable plays ever. Even more impressive is that they did it on the road. Trinity wins on lateralpalooza at Millsaps. It was in 2007:

Here is another video from a different angle, although it's not as good:

How did the play-by-play man keep up with all this action? I hope he got a good job someplace. It's definitely one of the better calls you'll ever hear, too.

I was at this game in Atl. Great series with a spectacular finish

1992 NLCS Game 7. Pirates vs Braves. Bottom of the 9th inning, Braves down 2 to 1 with 2 outs:

People stayed in the stadium yelling/ cheering for almost an hour after the game had ended

I was watching it as well and remember it vividly. My brother had to go to work. As he left, he said that Jose Lind was a better fielder on turf than on grass. Lind made an error. My father and I were both screaming, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" when Stan Belinda was walking to the mound from the bullpen. Then he blew the game.

It was Barry Bonds's last game as a Pirate, and I sometimes wonder if he even cared. Pittsburgh did not treat him well.

Doug Drabek was the losing pitcher, and it was also his last game as a Pirate.

The Pirates then had 20 straight losing seasons.

90th minute winner to complete an amazing comeback.

Klopp sticking it to that little bitch Thomas Tuchel after Sakho's goal was a nice little touch too.

2014 AL Wild Card Game. First time the Royals made the playoffs in 29 years and we rode the hot streak into Game 7 of the 2014 only to lose. BUT, it just made the whole run so much better when we won it all the next year in 2015.
