"Give me your number" - wtf????

The first thing I always say is NEVER ask or go after phone numbers, they are pointless. In China, where men outnumber women by a landslide, women woudl have even more reasons to flake on you.

I'm not sure why the instructor is telling students that a great opening line is "hi, give me your number, and maybe later on we can do something" - Jeeesh that sounds so insecure, and needy!

However, this guy has students traveling 14hrs for his 150USD seminars. Fuck I wish I spoke Chinese!!!

LMAO!!!

Well that seems to be current trend anyway, every tom, dick and harry is holding seminars and workshops about "The Art of Seduction"/"The Art of Picking-Up Women", and nobody is none the wiser because of it.

Overall though, it seems to be a bigger problem because a lot of the people assume that attending something like the above is going to have women lining up in front of them and don't really pay attention to the big picture of it.

No offense to these "professional" pick-up artists and what not, but this mass productization isn't really making things better or helping anyone in the long run.

Game is not about sex. Sex is a by-product, albeit an excellent one, it is the thrill of the hunt!!

I lived in China. I walked up to quite a few Chinese girls, talked to them for a few minutes and simply asked for their phone number so we could meet up later. It's normal. I don't see why you wrote that shit. I usually keep in touch and make a meeting later in the week.

Probably the reason that Mixx doesn't go for numbers is because he goes for the insta-date, where he does his thing. He probably doesn't waste time setting dates for later days anymore.

You are pointless. When I talk with a random girl I ALWAYS ask for her phonenumber before leaving. So you tell me: how would I see her ever again?

Oh I see. That's different, and I think that's quite difficult to do in China. I'm usually busy so I ask for their phonenumber and call her later and meet up somewhere.

RE: cnn report on pua in china
I am by no means a pro at PUA, and i speak chinese on a conversational level. I even had some private classes with rich kids who wanted the help after hanging out with me and seeing me walk away with girls they would never even talk to. Quick way to 70-80 bucks an hour for teaching basic psychology and sociology as well as kicking their ass hard enough to do enough approaches so they burn is bearable.

But most of this PUA crap in china is all on placebo effect. Guys take the class, feel pumped that they can handle anything and go up and talk to chicks. This already puts them light years ahead of the competition, so ya they do well. Chinese guys are the epitome of beta. They shit themselves when they even think of talking to a girl who wasnt introduced to them via family or friends. Remember, during the age of social development, your job, and even who you would marry were based on results of some standardized test.

Its easy to teach PUA in China, i might do it on the side to help finance vacations, but advertising doesnt work, it has to be word of mouth. All you need to do is teach the guys how not to be Chinese, and man up and talk to the chicks when hes sober, then 90% of the work is done.

And the give me your number shit works, simply b/c chinese girls are not used to directness. Strangers dont come up to them and ask for numbers unless they are a party girl. But ive found in china, as long as you ask for the number some time before the end of the interaction, you are bound to get it. I think in my last 100 approaches, i didnt get the number maybe 10 -15 times, and all most all of those were with more westernized people, or even westerners. Plus in chinese culture, its impolite to say no, which is always a good thing in a player's book. So while it may seem counter productive, its actually standing out by being that direct, MIXX. Remember china doesnt have as much game and random hitting on chicks like back home, and the feminism movement doesnt have much sway here, so the chicks have no problem and seek out those guys who lead them.

RE: cnn report on pua in china
I always got the number in China. Alot of Chinese girls are conservative and not ready to just meet up with a foreign guy they just met in the street. I actually got alot of numbers but never met them again, especially girls I've approached in daytime. Most of the girls I hang out with are the ones I met in bars and nighclubs, they are usually fun to be with or at first a little bit shy. My Chinese is rather poor but I can make myself understandable when I need to. The best place for me in China is definately CHENGDU in Sichuan province. Lots of nightlife, friendly expats and the most beautiful women in the whole country (don't ask me why, but as far I saw, it's true).

RE: cnn report on pua in china
it's definetely a weak opening line, and i would never recommend it. however in 5 years of living in china i never once had a girl flake on me and never once had a girl not give me her number. Of course this doesn't mean you are going to bang them or ever see them again. Chinese culture and latin culture are pretty much polar opposites. If these guys (locals in video) just go up and ask girls for their number it is better than staying home and playing counter strike bc that is all 95% of chinese guys do. Normal rules of game do apply but the flakiness of Colombians or other latinas does not occur there. As anywhere else adjust to the culture.

AAAHHH. This puts it in perspective for me. Good clarification. Still, since Chinese women are used to giving out their numbers, I am sure they can EASILY be led to a ONS because they are not used to the aggressive, yet very effective tactics of American/Latin players.

Ok, so you mention that flakiness does not occur in China. That's very interesting. I was expecting that since men are in abundance, the more options=more flakes. What % of phone numbers turn into actual bangs? Also, since women do not flake, and men are too beta, then would it not make sense to go for the SNL since they can likely be led easier by experienced players?

I guess I still have that mentality that I use phone numbers as a last resort and go straight for the insta-date and SNL.

RE: cnn report on pua in china
no harm in trying for the snl, if it doesn't work grab her number. I doubt most chinese guys are getting girls digits, the expats will. Stop the average chinese person walking down the street that is married and 99% are married to their classmate or co-worker. Most don't go to bars or social events to meet people. Most local men go to bars where there are "bar girls" or "juicy bars" or whatever you want to call them. That is why bars have a negative stigma in China, however that is changing especially in the larger cities (by chinese standards) with foreign influence. % wise on numbers to bang i have no clue, since skanks and virgins will both give out numbers it can vary widely.

RE: cnn report on pua in china
1.

If you are just asking for numbers straight off the get go and you're getting the girls to meet you again and you're closing them it's for one of two reasons.

Firstly:

You have a high amount of easily visible value.

Tall, good looking, Western, Rich, Social proof.

Secondly:

You're going for trash girls.

(Note, trash by western standards and by Chinese standards is a little different).

2.

Getting a phone number means absolutely less than nothing in China.

HEAPS of the Chinese PUAs use the 'hey i want ur pn so we can contact later' or 'i saw u and thought u were special, give me ur number' lines and they might do this on 500 girls and possibly get a bunch of dates.....rarely sex though.

Chinese people will give you their number because it's extremely rude to say no, but them giving you the number can still mean 'no' because they just wont reply or contact you again afterwards if they weren't interested.

Getting an instant date is much more solid/smarter as it is a higher level of compliance and will show you immediately which girls are keen and which aren't.

Getting instant dates in China is quite easy (ESPECIALLY if you are a foreigner - you already have attraction most of the time - having said that, most foreigners go for trash to average girls, you will hardly ever see them with the really hot girls) as Chinese girls are generally quite interested in foreigners and the 'foreigner effect' is quite strong.

Lastly

Chinese girls are usually bored during the day and are shopping because they have nothing else to do, Chinese people have a general lack of hobbies/interests in life and spend most of their time working or studying or sleeping or watching dvds.

Going and farming numbers is pretty spaz and only gets you the girls who are 'keen' from the get go, so when you meet them they should be pretty easy to close, this isn't developing skill or actually pushing your limits, which imo is what game is about. (Also about banging hot chicks, which this method will not get you unless you're some sort of Star or have massive SV in a venue)

Chinese guys are fairly beta it seems, a lot of them are pretty shy or submissive/obedient. Chinese women can be quite bossy around beta Chinese guys, but she still does the cooking and cleaning, and listens to her partner, but complains a lot, maybe against a really dominant guy, she might be real submissive. Probably it is true that if a Chinese girl does the same shit that an average American club girl does in the US, she would be a total slut. I hear most people don't even a girl/boyfriend until they are in college or even graduate school, because they are too focused studying. Probably alot people get married to their first love, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

You gonna break a lot hearts while cumming and dumping naive Chinese girls(especially if u got them from day game, bar game less so), unless she is a total skank.

Chinese girls are interested in banging foreign dudes and interested in sex.

Not all of them, but a decent amount.

This only really applies to Shanghai and Beijing....not sure about GZ or Chengdu.....smaller cities usually mean more close minded people.

It doesn't take much game to be a c girls bf, bang her and dump her......so i don't think its really the right way to go as there are plenty of girls who will tolerate you playing around so long as they don't have to know about it or loss face in the process.

A lot of rich Chinese guys have 2nd wives and mistresses, so if you demonstrate that you have value then its possible to have multiple girls without them bailing.

The emotional development of Chinese people is, at any one time, a good five years behind that of the average Westerner. Chinese have no interests, no hobbies, no opinions, no creativity, and no dreams. The only thing the guys care about is buying a house and a car so they can in turn go buy a wife. The only thing the girls care about is expertly minimizing their physical flaws with makeup so that they can be externally appealing and marry a guy who has a house and car.

You know how in the West you begin showing interest in the opposite sex around twelve, thirteen years of age? You get your first little "girlfriend" and hold hands and maybe kiss on the lips, woohoo. By the time we're sixteen we've begun dating. By eighteen we've fucked. Then we go to college and fuck more, experience more emotionally challenging relationships. After graduation, we realize none of that was particularly meaningful because we were too young to know ourselves. But we now do have a basis for comparison when it comes to building real, adult relationships.

The typical 20-year-old Chinese has, in many cases, never even held hands with the opposite sex. Freshmen look and act like fourteen-year-old children. When they do get their first boyfriend or girlfriend in their sophomore or junior year, Chinese guys begin doing what we did in high school. They idolize the first girl who gave them sex (if she did), walk down the street with her carrying all her shit, following her like a puppy.

Since they do not have the social experience and emotional maturity to know this is all childish crap, they soon graduate and marry the first pussy they got. Then they tie themselves down with houses, cars, and children, because in China you must be married by twenty-five in order to please the parents, then the kids better come soon after. The predictable scenario plays itself out, where they reach their early thirties, are sick of their wives and their life, so they go out to karaoke bars with their co-workers to bang the semi-pros that work there.

Chinese women are obsessed with "love," even though they know fuck all about it. They will literally talk about "what love is" by quoting song lyrics or scenes from movies. They think every tired, worn-out platitude is profound. Forrest Gump's "I don't know what love is, Jenny... but I love you" was often quoted, probably 'cause, like, it had the word "love" in it. You cannot imagine the incredible degree of naivete in their tiny minds. This is why when you bed a Chinese girl, she is now officially your "girlfriend," unless she is one of the experienced foreign dick-chasing bar whores, which abound. Getting rid of her doesn't have to be difficult but her showing up at your door near midnight staring at you imploringly through misty eyes isn't surprising. Neither is her knocking on your door for ten minutes before she gives up, at which point you think she left, only to look out the keyhole four hours later and realize she's been sitting in fromt of your doorstep the whole time.

Are Chinese girls submissive? Maybe with foreign guys. But overall, Chinese women control the lives of their spineless men, and not in a matriarchal what's-best-for-us way, but rather in an utterly cuntish you-are-my-dog manner. Chinese women think having a fit is a normal part of a relationship. They get angry for nothing, it's a sport, and the pussy Chinese men appease them. Perhaps they don't do this with foreigners, 'cause they know the foreigner will get rid of them.

Here is an example of what the typical Chinese woman is like. In China there is an incredibly popular dating show called Honest Inquiries Only (非诚勿扰). Women stand behind podiums with a buzzer while a male guest is introduced. Via process of elimination, they hit the buzzer until only the women who are interested in him remain. During the Q&A part, where the female guests pose idiotic, lame-brained questions to the guy, here is what one girl said:

"When I was a child my parents were very good to me, so I never washed clothes or cleaned the house or did the dishes. If we were together would you be okay with doing these things for me?"

Apparently in China, being good to your child means ensuring she is useless. The point is, anyone who thinks Chinese women are the type who'll wake up after sex and cook you breakfast might as well get it out of their mind. They are domestically useless. Their best talent is complaining, engaging in circular arguments, sleeping, and shopping. They are spoiled beyond belief. Here's another question a different girl asked:

"If I get angry with you often, will you be able to live with that?"

I leave it to you to weed out the sinister presuppositions of this question, not the least of which being she gets angry for fun. This is one of the most popular shows in the country. No one bats an eyelash at the abject stupidity of the guests, which means they are inevitably, at least to some degree, representative of popular sentiment.

The typical foreigner whose cultural exposure amounts to nothing more than fucking Chinese chicks will never see this, even if he stays in China an entire year. But those who speak the language well, who have had real relationships with Chinese, whether female or male, have truly gotten to know them, their friends, their families, have watched their TV shows, those foreigners will feel and understand the incredibly bleak and fucked up, dysfunctional state of the Chinese psyche. After that, China might not be so fun anymore.

My recommendation for bang-happy would-be visitors is go there, learn enough of the language to order food and ask basic questions, screw as many hot Chinese girls as you can, and leave when you're done. Don't make China into some kind of cultural conquest where you will get "really good at Chinese" and "get to know their culture." You'll come away feeling disillusioned and disappointed, if not disgusted at their utter lack of values or even basic human decency.

RE: cnn report on pua in china
haha, excellent post Fathom experienced all of that first hand numerous times and i agree with 99% of it.

Sounds like you've also heard "kai men" yelled while a chinese girl was crying outisde your door

1% i disagree wiith...I had numerous girls that would clean and cook for me and were good gfs.

Chinese are extremely lonely people, that is why they fall in love fast, bc they are searching for what they see in movies and tv so hard.

By their late twenties or 30's if they are married they will start to cheat on their spouse. Banging married women or girls with bf's is a walk in the park. They are lonely even when in a relationship...why? They are Asian and refuse to talk and open up and keep everything bottled inside.

Don't buy into the traditional chinese girl facade (even though chinese themselves fall for it).

Example: very cute girl I worked with looked and acted like the most innocent thing on the planet. She lived 23 years and had probably never farted. All the older chinese women in the office said I should get a girl like her and quit playing around with "bad girls", she was the perfect one.

What they didn't know was she had a bf, that she lived with, was banging my friend, and I later found out, she was banging the boss. She ended up marrying the chinese bf, guess who she banged a few days before she got married? :-)

Going to live in China was the best decision I ever made...leaving China was the second best decision I ever made.

You know... I practically exploded in laughter the moment those words sank in. Yes, one of them laid siege on me for about six hours. Hahaha... Cheers to you, man.

Hah. Nice.

When I first arrived, I was the most positive person you could think of. I wanted to learn, to explore, to appreciate all China had to offer. By the time I left, I was ready to rip the fucking head off the next effeminate idiot who randomly hello'd me.

You nailed it. If I find a way to live there on my own terms, I'll go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent break down on Chinese girls fellas. I've experienced the same with the fob Chinese girls, they act like middle school girls when you try to make a move on them. Now I know why.

It's a product of a China's one child policy. You have kids growing up in a house that has 2 parents and 2 grandparents, zero siblings.

They never have to do anything, except study and sleep.

Chinese parents are EXTREMELY protective.

Go to a Gymboree class in China and at age 3 or 4 you already see a tremendous diffeence in local kids and Western kids.

Western kids are running around jumping off balancing beams, falling down, rolling around...ie taking risks, possibly getting hurt and learning from it

Chinese kids are literally being dragged across the balance beam with two grandparents tightly grabbing them by each arm so they don't fall 6 inches and land and the cushion floor...ie risk averse, have no experiences, learn nothing.

I knew an 18 year old girls that was not allowed to be outside after dark.

I knew a girl who told me the craziest thing she did in college was climb a fence to sneak into a dorm to watch TV. But climbing the fence made her tired so she just went to sleep.

I knew a girl who was not allowed to date in college bc she should focus and studying. A week after she graduated her mon started badgering her that she had to find a husband and get married. She was 22, never been on a date, kissed a boy nothing. Think she knows anything about being in a relationship?

I actually dated a girl like that, she was my gf for 3 days haha. She had already cried twice before I got rid of her. Sweet and pretty girl but IGNORANT about life.

Hahaha. Typical. These are the kind of things that make you wanna slap 'em. Farting makes them tired. "累死我了" ("So tired!") every time they do something like walk up the stairs. Then they have these twatish excuses. "I'm a Chinese girl, our bodies are weak." Yeah, that's what the problem is, bitch...

Tell you something funny that just happened today. A few times, my girlfriend in China had hit me with this brilliant little nugget of wisdom: "Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I like to go shopping. Then I feel better."

A few minutes ago I'm chatting with a friend online who was in China with me. He copies something from the Chinese book he's studying at the moment. It's this:

Quote:"亲爱的, 今天我的心情特别不好. 去买了好多双鞋, 心情好起来了."

Translation: "Dear, I really haven't been in a good mood today. I went and bought a few pairs of shoes, now I feel better."

Now, here's what flabbergasts me. It's one thing people say this stupid shit in real life... But what does it say about their society when people whose job it is to create language learning materials for foreigners feel this is a perfectly acceptable thing to say?

Like the saying goes, 哭笑不得 ("Don't know if I should laugh or cry").
