This is the first time I've read an article that simultaneously shames beta male behavior AND shames self improvement.

Starts off okay with an indictment of the nerd fantasy: one day, hot women will realize nerdy men are hot, and will just fall into their laps:

Can't disagree with him. Tricking a girl to bed is an exercise in futility. Do you want to be a con artist who sells one lemon, or a master car dealer that sells a guy 10 cars over his lifetime? At this point I assumed he would at least make a plea for self improvement: No mention of all. The only thing related to game in the whole article is one sentence badmouthing PUAs:

Since we all have the original sin of maleness, we should atone for our sins by being celibate, because nothings more mature than a 35 year old virgin

What is interesting is that these people criticize us for using terms like "alpha, beta and omega" yet they still cling to the jock-nerd stereotype.

Thing is, we frown upon betas and omegas for their pathetic behavior but wish they would change. On the other hand, they hold nerds, or to put it better "socially awkward" men in extreme contempt. Remember the meme "Nice Guys Of OK Cupid"? It was those sites (Jezebel, Gawker, etc.) posting photos of supposed nice guys of OKC who complained about not getting laid. Fine. But one would think they would have more empathy considering their victimization mentality. After all, these were guys just frustrated that they couldn't get laid. Imagine if there were a "Fat Girls Of OK Cupid" meme, they would've lost their collective minds. Oh wait, they did during Fat Shaming week. They shame the socially awkward, basically guys who need to work on their social skills and overall self improvement, and it is apparently awesome.
