I had the same issue with tinder in Davao with a prepaid globe LTE sim card. I would get notifications when just using data but I couldn't actually enter tinder to read them if I opened the app from the app tray. Then I found out if you just tap on the actual notification in the notification bar, you can enter tinder and even read messages, but you gotta tap like 3-5 times to send messages. The profiles just wouldn't load on data. I had to be connected to wifi for tinder to work normally.

I'm in Makati and Tinder also stopped working for me on 19th of April, seemed to coincide with Tinder's latest update. I have tried logging in on other wifi networks in coffee shops etc. I have briefly been able to get on, view my messages, and even sent a few messages but the connection always fails. I don't think I've been banned from Tinder. When I try to log into tinder on wifi in my condo I always get the 'there's a problem with your internet connection' message.

There appears to be a problem with the Tinder server in Philippines, but I also tried a VPN and that doesn't work either.

At my absolute best I was averaging 1 new girl a week back in Sydney (my home town). That was while working full time though. I then moved to Dubai for 2 years and I was able to do 15 girls in a month some months there. Dubai is a hugely overlooked paradise for casual sex. Deserves its own thread.

I think the only disadvantage to being handsome in the Philippines is you will be perceived as a playboy. Filipinas are outrageously jealous to the point of actually stopping the interaction with you if they feel threatened. Just finished up a 40 day trip to Philippines.

Based myself in MNL while taking trips to Puerto Galera, Coron, and Pampanga area.

Coron was my absolute favorite island to visit. Beaches and underwater diving were stunning. Tours were well worth it and the food served on the tours was pretty good.
Puerto Galera was spent with a girl so it was still enjoyable. Because of the holiday I didn't get a good choice of hotels but I lucked out on finding a nice place about 20-30 trike ride away from white beach/sabang.

Business as usual when it came to meeting and entertaining girls in MNL. Philippines never fails to provide such staggering numbers for such a low investment of time. I stayed near GB1 so girls were very comfortable meeting me at my condo or meeting at the mall and then moving them there. Traffic is easily avoided if you walk home or live close to the mall.

Met a handful of the RVF crew there as well. Every single guy I met was a big help.

April/May is one of the more expensive times to go. Last year, I would book flight and hotels the day before and still find cheap prices. Because March/April is summer I found that booking in advance is the best option unless you don't mind paying 400-500 RT for a ticket from MNL-BUS.

I found the best way to make guy friends was through playing basketball or through girls. That's also a good way to find bars and clubs with mostly filipinas well.

I was curious. Just spoofed my Tinder location to Manila. Haven't been there for almost 2 years and what can I say.... I am shocked about the quality.
