US Consulates are required to make contact with American citizens being held abroad, and help them with their situation. This weblink has an email address and phone number that can be used to contact the US Consulate in Krackow.

I found near the bottom of the link a clear reference to some violent altercation that may or may not have something to do with this. Read the paragraph marked "Announcements" at the bottom of this link:

This might have nothing to do with Roosh. I don't know if he's even in Krackow. But the consulate people need to be providing info regardless.

By the way -- whoever is going to defend Roosh needs to know about all the fake Facebook, Twitter etc accounts Andre was setting up falsely accusing Roosh of various crimes, and all the other disinformation he was spreading about him. I hope all this stuff is cached online. It's evidence that this guy had a long-standing psychotic obsession with Roosh and can potentially be crucial to the case.

Roosh is definitely being charged with a (serious) crime. The gypsy apparently took a nasty beating. What's more, witnesses (who may be acquaintances of the gypsy) claim that Roosh was speaking epithets at him and may have used an object to strike him. I don't know what the Polish laws are, but these circumstances apparently add to the severity of the crime. I got a couple of calls out to see what his legal prospects are, but the language barriers and time difference are making information hard to come by.

Looks like a pure setup. Roosh will be bailed out by the US in exchange of his "silence" on key issues.

Ok, everyone take a deep breath. What do we know?

1. Roosh is detained by the Polish authorities
2. He appears not to need medical attention
3. The charges against him may result in some time in jail/prison.

So the task at hand is to get competent legal representation to him ASAP.

Let's talk solutions:
Anyone have connections (legal or at least linguistic/cultural familiarity) on the ground?

What is the best method to collect/store funds?

What other resources do forum members have that could be used to get a lawyer to him?

In addition to sending money, I have about 120k miles through United/Star Alliance that I am willing to donate.

It's important not to get caught up on speculation about what may happen to the forum, who the other party was, etc. Focus on the task at hand and let the situation develop.

Any other ideas?

Now, while keeping this forum up so we can hang out and BS here is not as important as Roosh's well-being, I have done a bit of research about the "how long the forum will still be around" question. Should this, heaven forbid, be a long term problem, the forum should run fine for a few months, but there will be no new users until this is sorted out:

• It appears that the rooshvforum server is completely managed, which means that someone will keep the system up to date with regard to security bugs and what not for as long as the account is active.
• It is not possible to post with new accounts; while I was able to create a test account ("delete_this_account"), the account will not be able to make postings until someone activates it (please don't activate it). With MyBB, moderators can not activate accounts -- only the admin (unless Roosh added the "Activate Users from Mod CP" plugin)
• MyBB fairly frequently needs to be updated (about every two to three months). The forum will still run fine without being updated, but MyBB has a history of a fairly large number of security holes found in it which should be plugged up.
• The rooshvforum.com domain will not expire until 2015. The forum will almost certainly be shut down for non-payment of hosting fees before then (if Roosh doesn't make bail or however that's done in Poland and get out within a week, someone should call the hosting company to see if they will accept a third-party payment for hosting renewal)

I've glanced at the Polish Criminal Code, although I'm not sure how accurate the translation is. It's actually somewhat similar in content to the assault statute in the state in which I practice, although the organization of the statute is really awful. Any injury which lasts for seven days, or any injury more serious than that, carries from several months to several years in jail. Roosh needs the best local Wroclaw lawyer he can possibly find.

Apparently they hung out in person a few times until he got too clingy and Roosh stopped talking to him and then found out that he was cockblocking him on Facebook and messaging girls Roosh was seeing behind his back. Feel free to correct me but that was my understanding of the issue.

Oh, and they also had a confrontation a few days ago but nothing happened and this guy also had a few twitter and facebook accounts designed to trash Roosh.

I think the picture is from a museum in Berlin, as a few others have pointed out. That's not to say he hasn't been arrested though, the pic is a bit iffy though. I don't know why whoever sent it to Tuth would use it....
