RE: Bang Japan: Game in The Great Nippon Empire
I'm planning a trip to Tokyo in September! This time I plan to stay for the entire 90 days I'm allowed. But I'm having the damnedest time figuring out WHERE to stay. I would appreciate any advice you Japan heads can offer.

The last time I visited I was staying in Asakusa just south of the touristy area in a quiet little neighborhood, just over the bridge from Sumida city. I was thinking of staying there again but it's pretty far from the main things I want, which are:

- A good brazilian jiu jitsu gym
- A decent weightlifting gym (like a Gold's or somewhere with a squat rack)
- Some nice coffee shops where I can get a decent cup of Joe and maybe a chocolatine (I'm a hipster like roosh in this regard)
- Reasonable distances between the main places I'm going that I can cover by bicycle, walking, or with a relatively short train ride

BJJ Gym

I usually pick my location in a city based on the proximity to the BJJ gym since I'm there 5 days a week anyway. Here's what Google Maps turned up:

[Image: Image%2525202019-04-07%252520at%2525209....2520PM.png]

I've heard good things about a number of gyms, including Carpe Diem, Axis, Triforce, and a few others. I'm not too picky as long as the people are friendly and train hard.

Weightlifting

Seems like there's a lot of Gold's gyms all over Tokyo but if there is one right next to where I'll be training AND right next to where I'm living, that would be ideal. I don't know how realistic it is but that's what I'm shooting for.

Cafes

I work online so cafes or coworking spaces help chop it up when working at home gets stale. I saw there are a number of coworking spaces located primarily in Shibuya but that seems like a loud area (I prefer quiet) and probably pretty expensive to boot.

Distances

I'm not opposed to taking the train but I'd prefer not to have to do it every day. I plan to scoop up a bicycle from craigslist when I land. Seems like a better way to get around, see more of the city, get some cardio in, and not spend a bunch of money on trains.

###

I know these requirements are a bit precious but if you guys have any advice I would welcome it warmly.

I've already begun to set aside money for the trip so that I can get a decent accommodation (any advice on this would be welcome as well!), do some side trips, eat out sometimes, and generally enjoy myself without watching my wallet too closely.

The plan while I'm there is pretty basic:

- Study Japanese every day (JapanesePod101) and practice
- Train BJJ and lift
- Work
- Hang out with BJJ homies and some expat friends I have there
- Have some nice times with some Jgirls, obviously

Nothing crazy and pretty routine oriented so sorting logistics is crucial. Thanks in advance. Oss!

Good idea. You are gonna have a blast man.

Shibuya looks like the spot for you. Its not that busy or loud even a couple streets over from the main drag. Its Tokyo, so most of the side streets are just bikes, pedestrians and electric cars these days.

Check out Daikan-yama and naka-meguro. I really dig these two spots and are much quieter than having to deal with Shibuya station. In fact, I find having access to the small platform sky stations make logistics so much easier than navigating 100 exits in the giant underground stations.

I use the SAVAS (ZAVAS) gyms when I am there. The one I go to has a pretty good weight section and the added bonus of a pool and spa. They look heavy on classes, so do a tour first. Upside of the classes is that there are insane amounts of tail running around. Over the years, SAVAS has delivered some fantastic girls with squat rack booty.

A bike is smart and fun. You can have fun with them too, which is helpful when chopping it up with the giggling college girls. Have a lock and use it, Japs are the most honest people except when it comes to bikes and umbrellas.

There is no shortage of good cafes in the international areas, but outside of that they tend to be small and cute. Starbucks delivers the goods here in regards to girls and work vibe, but they obviously suffer in regards to coffee.

Laner is Kyoto worth checking out besides the touristy stuff, like night life and bars? I’ll be in japan in a few months but want to figure it out soon.

Not really. But the tourist stuff is amazing. Its 100% worth it if you have not been there, the city and area are some of the most beautiful cultural locations in the world.

I have been a few times, and each time I was there solo I met girls. Its a tourist town mostly for Japanese, so its a matter of finding the right combo in the right place. Last time I was there I found a small bar playing the Tigers baseball game. A lot of Kansai girls like baseball and booze, so even though the bar was 80% men I still managed to find a single girl. Also, a lot of baseball fans also like American culture, so you have a better chance of finding an English speaker - which is why I went into the bar.

Have you considered looking into MMA/Catch Wrestling gyms as well? Not sure if the scene died down but a lot of their pro fighters have a background in Catch Wrestling prior to BJJ becoming bigger in Japan.

RE: Bang Japan: Game in The Great Nippon Empire
Guys I've been reading this thread straight gold.

since I am a new member I can't post my own stuff yet but il introduce my self

Im in university here doing graduate work at the university of Tsukuba which is a little but inaka to Tokyo but only about an hour and half to get to roppongi or Shibuya

Im 27 from the ny state I'm 175 cm on a good day I'm a 7 but with a big nose -1

Most of my pulls are literally from Tokyo and from apps. Been here a year and half I think I'm at like 35 -40 girls at this point, 80% j-hos

My main question - particularly if you live here, how can I pull from my university. these girls are hot but it takes a bit of a nerdy attitude to make it to this university so they are a tough egg to crack for me.

Can some of you guys offer up some tips or strategies ?

btw, just pulled a Taiwanese chick from an app, had her take a train to my place for a morning "date" got her back to my place after charming her up a bit , she struggled with the "my body says yes but my mind says no" thing.

banged her twice then sent her on her way.. now she doesn't want to meet anymore. OH WELL Smile

thanks all and I am happy to be here and expand my Jho expedition . Banana

Online Game doesn't exist in Japan. If you really need to do it, use Instagram.

I did something similar years ago when fresh off the plane foreigners still had some value and it was somewhere between mediocre and disappointing, especially for the huge money you spend if you're used to living in Thailand and other easy and accessible places for tourists where you can just roll up and get everything sorted quickly, easily and for little money.

Roppongi has MMA places and you're near Gold's Gym in Aoyama where you can either walk or take the subway. Don't expect people to speak English and expect everything to be bureaucratic and expensive.

The starbucks in roppongi hills is the best place to work. Everything else is small and doesn't invite to linger around.

Wework opened a bunch of coworking spaces that are more accessible to foreigners coming in short term that don't want to go through some lengthy bureaucratic process, but it's expensive.

https://www.wework.com/buildings/ark-hills-south--tokyo

Japanese people will at best be luke warm polite about your broken Japanese and Tokyo is flooded with low class foreigners these days which doesn't make it easier. The days where a random fresh off the plane foreigner had any value are pretty much over and most Japanese are fighting for survival at work 24/7 either way and have little interest in associating with outsiders.

You can walk or take the subway everywhere. No point in buying a bicycle.

You can get an AirBnB (super expensive after regulation), a room or apartment from Oakhouse ( https://www.oakhouse.jp/eng/ ) or an apartment from a serviced apartment company (https://www.serviced-apartments-tokyo.com/en/).

Expect immigration to hassle you about the 90 days as well btw. I stayed twice longer than a month and both times they searched all my luggage and asked me tons of questions. If you slip up and say you work from home remotely chances are they will deport you.

Generally it's a boring and corporate city to live in that's not very open to foreigner and cafes and restaurants generally don't invite to linger around.

Jgirls - forget about them. Zero English, totally autistic and local status focused, you will be hard pressed to find one that gives you the time of the day...

It's an interesting place for a short visit but as a longer term nomad it's not really worth it as they have too much of a rigid corporate drone mindset.

Can you explain more please about why immigration is hassling you?
If someone can stay for 90 days in Japan. Why can they deport you if you claim to work remote? That does not make sense. Why does it matter as long as you leave within 90 days.

And if this is the case why not tell immigration you are staying for a week. Then just stay for 90 days. They stamp you for 90 days anyways even if you say you are staying for a week.

And why did they search your luggage because you told them you were staying for 90 days working remote. Are you sure this is relevant. It may have happened to you regardless as part of a random check.

I'm not sure why you're doubting me. There are two countries where immigration always has hassled me: Japan and the US.

My line of thought is:

Japanese people barely have any holidays, maybe one week a year which they often don't even take. If you have tons of visas and stamps in your passport and don't look like a salaryman traveling for business you are shady by default to them because your life is totally out of this world for them.

While there is a visa waiver for first world countries to stay 90 days, it's not a god given right and immigration is free to refuse you if you give them suspicion that you might be up to no good.

If you lie to immigration you will most likely have huge issues coming back again unless you have a bullet proof story like you fell ill, went to hospital etc. The form you fill out makes you give an affidavit in any country that you are telling the truth and Japanese people are super anal about rules.

Why not say you work remotely? You have no permit to work in Japan. It counts as working illegally and you're just setting yourself up from being barred entry and deportation like lots of poker playing aspies did when they attempted to move to Canada from the US after online poker sites were banned in the US. (Canadian immigration seems to look for reasons to refuse entry as well from what I've heard but I've never been there)

Keep your story straight and simple: You saved up money, you like Japan, you want to practice and improve your Japanese.

They still won't like it because you aren't attending a school (in Japan you are only a decent person if you go the very straight and narrow) but as a first world person they are unlikely to give you more hassle than searching all your stuff like they do with me.

I'm not doubting you. I just wanted more information from your post as a digital nomad myself that hates being hassled. And I wanted to point out things that I thought were untrue. Like you mention,

"
If you lie to immigration you will most likely have huge issues coming back again unless you have a bullet proof story like you fell ill, went to hospital etc."

They will not know you lie. They will not know what you told the immigration officers when you first arrived. Immigration officers often ask you how long are you staying, and other questions just for the sake of it. They do not record your answers down into the computer. They do this to see if you are "sketchy." And if you are they may have another immigration officer ask you some questions to see if your answers are different from what you told the first immigration officer. Or maybe to make sure you are aware that you can only stay for 90 days in japan so there are no misunderstandings.

Even if they did type in that you said you were staying for a week. You can tell them

"Yes i planned to stay for a week but I fell in love with japan. I think it is the best country in the world. I wanted to spend more time here. I know am allowed up to 90 days. So I decided to not stay a week but 90 days instead. I did not know I was supposed to notify immigration if this changed, i apologize officer,"

I really dont think they record your first answers down, thats why i bring this up. As i always tell immigration in other countries i plan to stay in their country for a week for tourism because i hate being hassled myself.
And nothing ever comes of it. They dont know I told the first immigration officials that I was staying for a week.

I even had every page of my passport carefully examined upon leaving by some femnazi after they found a liquid in my carry on in the xray after I stated I had no liquids.

Trust me, the Japanese don't mess around, generally distrust foreigners and I'm pretty sure they record everything in their system just like they do in the US and when you come back again and generally stay longer than you stated they might not let you in again.

Better be safe than sorry... Smile

Yes I know exactly how you feel. And it has always been a woman that gave me trouble when I was leaving a foreign country. The immigration officer told me "why are you sweating its not hot in here." I said I am not sweating with a confused voice because i didnt know what to tell her... and she said my forehead was sweating and I told her it was oil. I have oily skin. Then she starred at me for like 5 seconds. Then she looked through every passport page and read some of the countries out loud and stamped my exit stamp and starred me down.

If they do record the dates that you say how long you are staying then i guess the countries i have been to dont care that I left at a different date than when i stated. ( I also have never been to japan but good info to know when i do go to japan)

I think Nara is worth visiting too. It's located less than one hour from Kyoto.
I always wonder why most of the tourists from western countries who go to Kyoto don't even know its name.

I was thinking about it but all I see and hear about Nara is people feeding deers and that’s about it. I’ll look into what else it has to offer, thanks.

Me bro! well I'm in Tsukuba but we have a crew that runs around roppongi and has a little bit of a rep in the hip hop clubs. Anyway, Tsukuba-dai goes hard in Tokyo Wink

RE: Bang Japan: Game in The Great Nippon Empire
I wish I had this thread in my pocket when I was in Tokyo back in March.

At the time though I wasn't focused on getting pussy, I just wanted to experience a place completely unlike anything I'd ever seen or experienced before, and it delivered well. But next time I'm in Japan getting that flag is one of my main priorities.

Probably returning in November this year, or March next year at the very latest. I grew up and still live in a medium sized city in the midwest and had never been to a proper big city before (e.g. Chicago, New York, Los Angeles) and Tokyo blew my fucking mind.

Hopefully I'll go trolling for pussy with a few of the members here.

RE: Bang Japan: Game in The Great Nippon Empire
I will post about some of my recent experiences.

During the school break from march to April I had gotten a kiss in Camelot in Shibuya and exchanged digits and left the club because the crew was hopping to roppongi.

after about a month she had time in her schedule to meet for a nomikai in Ueno, mind you I'm about a 40 minute ride from there on the train from Tsukuba, and she's from Kanagawa another 40mins

So we get all primed up and I after we are done drinking I drop the "Kaero" which is basically lets go home together. there was little resistance so I guess I had done my job in looking good / being funny etc.

Man she was just leaking out after putting the white Banana

ended up just soaking my bed Undecided

she stays for 2 nights since it was golden week, banged her a bunch and she went back to Kanagawa which was like 2 hours travel time (ouch).

Also met a bumble match last day of golden week, she has a super cute face and excellent English ( near native) huge huge tities but she's a bit of a chubby one... -2 from 7 she's a 5. Got her soaked during a steamy make out before heading off to a nomikai with some friends from NY meeting in Ueno.

So in Ueno i met my old college assistant teacher from Japanese class after 2 years, she's Japanese, married and always is saying it, but she was getting banged by some "meh" guy while she was in NY.

anyway, I know she was feeling me and my vibes , she messages me a bit after we all part ways and were on our own trains, mind you Im tanked off whiskey and rocks, and I fucked up for sure.

I pretty much said I don't mind if your married just come hang out with me.

I thought the direct approach would work, but I faced resistance, and I should have played it cooler I know that. But again, drunk.

Il keep that one on hold and update if anything happens eventually.

kermyy, can you elaborate on "kaero"? Is this fancy terminology for venue change, a particular line you use, or something else entirely?

How often are you getting matches on Bumble (or other apps) and what kind of bio/pictures are you using? I did a bunch of swiping while in Tokyo but had little in the way of matches. I did get two dates with a Japanese girl I met on Bumble from Ota City, then she flaked on me and stopped responding.

The quality on the apps was insane compared to the U.S. - upon returning I avoided the usual swiping for a solid two weeks, it was too depressing swiping left so often compared to my time perusing potential matches in Tokyo. The talent in that city on every block was mesmerizing.
