I was in an airport in the US recently and there was a large group of female Japanese college exchange students in the long TSA line with me. So, I joked around with them for a few minutes in silly Japanese. They played a along. I didn't try to get any numbers or emails because I don't currently have any plans to go to Japan and their exchange college in the US is on the opposite side of the country (they were on a field trip to my city and were departing). They might have been uncomfortable giving me digits in front of the whole group, so if I had wanted to follow-up with any of them I probably would have just cruised up and down the concourse after getting through security and tried to find a small group of them to close the approach. None of them were really great looking, and I was fairly inebriated at the time. Still, I guess the take away is that you never know when you'll encounter J-girls around the world and you should approach at least for the fun of it.

Asking for directions is lame, even in a socially uncalibrated (PUA-wise) like Asia. Do indirect game. If you come up blank, then talk about sites or directions. Also, though this sounds ancient, it was really 11 years ago, smart phones weren't common; people used maps. With GPS, not really an opener anymore.

Ask for a specific restaurant. She doesn't need to know the restaurant. Most japanese girls would use her phone, google the restaurant website for the address and then try to help you find it. They are that helpful.

This entire process could take up to 5mins. After that, get her to walk you there. All of these are huge tests to test her interest levels, if she is willing to walk you there, she is at least slightly interested.

You asking this question makes me wonder if you actually do daygame in Japan. Since directional openers are lame to you, do share with us what openers you use. It would be a learning opportunity for the forum.

It might feel awkward asking for directions to a place you already know or asking instead of just googling it yourself. But that's the point--1) you're being different by going against the norm and starting a conversation with a stranger and 2) you're opening with a boring conversation instead of whatever the nanpa-shis have attempted to open her with. She'll remember you more if you can get a boring 5 minute walk and talk rather than the "what are you doing? where are you going?" shotgun approach, hoping something will eventually stick.

If you don't want to ask for directions, you can say how you're new here / returning after some time and looking for a recommendation. If you're already in a cafe, you could even ask if she knows any interesting places around the area because you want to explore some more.

PUA theory would say that it was a lack of comfort. Even if she's really attracted to you she's not going to necessarily want to just fuck you outright after 20 minutes just because you had a broken conversation via google translate. This is where knowing the local language would help. Barring that maybe bounce her to a few different places before taking her home.

I've been to south korea and was surprised by how good the girls looked over there, but I hear this may be because South Korea is the plastic surgery capital of the world. But anyway those of you that have been to both South Korea and Japan how do japanese girls compare to south koreans in the looks department?

I think Japanese have more varied facial types. Seems to me that there is a very typical Korean face, and I'm talking without plastic surgery.

I prefer the hottest Korean girls but for the average Su Yeon or Yuko on the street, Japan wins hands down. I like girls who are taller with nice legs with a skinny but sexy frame and you find that more in Korea. Granted, these are the top 9s even in Korea but Japanese girls tend to be on the shorter side.

Japanese girls make great girlfriends, they're feminine, take care of their man and maintain their appearance even after marriage.

If that’s true I’d be very impressed. I’ve never been to japan and there’s not really any Japanese were in from so I was very curious about this. Just from the media I’ve seen that had Japanese in it I got the impression that South Koreans were much more attractive.

Power of the media and the current worldwide fad for Korean pop culture. Japanese and Koreans are pretty genetically similar. I still think that the average japanese woman - who you might call a 5 - takes better care of herself than any other nationality.

Yeah I have been there hundreds of times and nothing sketchy ever happened to me. But I do know guys who have woke up in random places with $1000's in credit card transactions ran through at some shady strip club. So there is truth to the seedy underbelly of the place.

Last time I was there I don't think I was even approached by a single Nigerian. I am sure they are still there, but thinking back to last year I can't even remember.

So I started playing around with them, my favorites is acting gay, they are so homophobic that it's insane (an Australian told me this). So anyway, a few times when they got up too me I would take their hand, stare them into their eyes and say "I want to suck your dick".
Damn I never seen a 2 meter tall big black dude run for me that fast, works every time.

But about 1,5 month in on my 3 months business trip in Tokyo I actually became friend with one of them.

Was standing inside 7/11 drinking a beer before the club. One Nigerian approached me, "Hey man, what's up tonight? Wanna go to place X and meet some girls (paid girls)".
Without thinking i responded in a very confident way "nah man, I got to bitches at home waiting for me" (just made up).
The guy was quite for a second and then he exploded, "Wooow, yeaahh that's the way" and did a high five.

After that we started talking and had a beer together, he was always standing at the same spot in Roppongi so every time I passed by I always stopped and had a chat with him. After some time I started to know more and more nigerians nearby because of him. They never bothered me or trying to lure into "their" place after that.
With one particular guy I even started to go out chasing girls together with.

After all we are just humans, most off them are really nice if you get to know them. Sure, a part of their work is to scam people, but if you think twice and don't do anything stupid you will be fine.

So due to "Scott's Cheap Flights" I found a Tokyo round trip deal for ~$600. I managed to read this thread and Tokyo Joe's 7 day Visitor forums (All 64 pages) twice. I found an an affordable AirBnB in Shibuya with an 8 min walk to Shibuya Train station (~$700 for 7 days). Arriving in Tokyo 31 OCT to 07 NOV.

Few stats on me:
28, Mex-American Light Brown
In terms of looks similar to actor Michael Peña except with a short beard, straight hair and slightly narrower face.
English and Spanish, both Native Level.
Know some Travel Phrases in Japanese.
Budget for trip: ~$2,000 USD

Since I know clubs and venues change, I would like to know what what are the best things that have or have not changed. While I'm not really a nightclub kind of guy I can make exceptions since if I'll be over there anyways.

Any help would be appreciated and if anyone would want to meet up, first rounds on me.

I'll also be posting on Tokyo Joe's since that one is more inclined to the short stays but this one has helped to round out my knowledge
