Here is the thing...a 40-50 year old woman who is attractive thanks to facebook and whatnot, has nearly just as many orbiters as a hot 24 year old (although she will have more older orbiters). A man of that age of similar looks does not get nearly as much attention from younger women unless he's very high-status as well. It's addressed in the "Myth of Male Power", which was written long before the facebook era.

The situation really is that bad in America with all the fat/unnattractive women, and the ratios are close to China when you factor in the fat women or ghetto women with multiple "baby daddy's".

If we are talking dating value the above is correct as it's all about supply and demand. An above average looking older woman still has high dating value compared to an above average older looking man who does not.

The ratios in the west are terrible, there are simply not enough attractive women to go around at all ages, this is just one of the many reasons causing massive woman inflation.

Men in my opinion age better in terms of looks generally and are usually more at ease with themselves as they get older.

I guess that mentality for a man is crucial. Many men who've been domesticated/used up through cubicle slavedom, political theatre, marriage, kids & boring friends just haven't got the energy to change themselves anymore and even if they did, they wouldn't know where to start. That's why forums like these are so useful.

John McAfee, for example, is 68 and has had one of the most interesting lives I've ever read about -- besides Putin, Berlusconi, Tiger Woods, or moviestars maybe --, he's done it all with balls, smarts & charm. Those are his assets.

I'm not ruling out TRT or HGH, I doubt I'll ever go under the knife or get injections of a paralyzing toxin. Right now it's more important to me to rely on natural things like exercise and diet.

I don't want to go down some Dorian Gray road of desperation. It's a style and old school ethical thing. At some point I'll cash in and go into a LTR with a suitably younger and adoring woman, with legal caveats and protections, of course.

Unrelated but funny enough for the tangent - I sent a cougar running out of my bar crying once because I called her a silverback. lol

Exactly. La Mode is right. You see plenty of MILFs running around, but relatively more guys lose their way as they age (they bald, get a gut, lose their vigor, etc). Here's the essential thing to understand about male and female SMV in regards to aging: men will always come out ahead at the high end (say the top 10%), while women can come out ahead just by being above average (say top 30%).

The average guy probably peaks in senior high/ college, guys who pull hot under 25 yo past 35 are uncommon.
