Ok. Lets be honest here guys. Men age like fine wine sure - but at some point they turn into a creepy old man. What is this point?

I don't mean this question as an attack on old men. Clearly to me, the wall is some point in the late 60s, 70s. Perhaps when too much frame is lost from health problems and the mind going. I was curious what other guys here think.

I actually think women, provided they're in shape and look good, are still more desirable as they get older than any man is. Unless that man happens to be George Clooney or Brad Pitt.

That graph is interesting, but I can't agree that the average guy peaks at 38. The truth is the average guy peaks in high school or something and is probably a hot mess at age 38. I'm an exception. At 36, I am nowhere near reaching my peak and am by far the strongest I have ever been in my life, although I have been in better overall shape in the past. My body fat has been lower at various earlier times in my life.

I want to disagree with this very badly, but in America this is probably sadly true.

I see the idea of a MILF or Cougar enticing for a young guy to have sex with merely a theme because there are not enough attractive women around in proportion to the population, young or or old, therefore a 40 year old chick that does yoga everyday and dresses well, that is an ex-hottie, will put up a strong competition and may garner more sexual attention that a successful guy that has his shit together at the same age.

I have probably met a dozen guys in their 40's, 50's, and 60's that regularly get with reasonably good-looking, well-adjusted girls in their 20's. Several are rich, most are well-off or middle-class, a few still live in the hood. These older cats have always been outgoing and upbeat, sociable, purely fun attitudes. Most of 'em are also fucking sharp dressers, and well-traveled.

That said, most of the older guys I've met or known are shells of their former selves, if they ever amounted to much at all.

I agree with this post, although in Miami you see tons of older guys with younger, quality girls. I have seen that in other parts of the United States, although it's not extremely common.

You explained better than I could. Impressive. If the majority of women were attractive, would not be the case.

I would say that men have an extra 15 years compared to women.
At 40, a well-maintained woman can still be attractive, but it's noticeably downhill from there every year. Same as a man at 55.

My father is a legend. He was 59 last year and his girlfriend was 40 - younger than my sister and I - though he told her he was 48. She believed him. His physical work keeps him outdoors and in excellent shape. I think it's probably about how long you can maintain the appearance of health until it really starts limiting you.

I'm 42. Current girlfriend is 29. I tend to date over 25 but still bang girls in their low 20's now and then. If i can keep that 20 year gap sliding upwards as I age for the rest of my life, I'll die a happy man.

Here is the thing...a 40-50 year old woman who is attractive thanks to facebook and whatnot, has nearly just as many orbiters as a hot 24 year old (although she will have more older orbiters). A man of that age of similar looks does not get nearly as much attention from younger women unless he's very high-status as well. It's addressed in the "Myth of Male Power", which was written long before the facebook era.

The situation really is that bad in America with all the fat/unnattractive women, and the ratios are close to China when you factor in the fat women or ghetto women with multiple "baby daddy's".

I'd say 30 is a peak for most men. No girls doesn't think you're too old or too young in that age.

20 is a peak for girls, 35 is a wall zone.
27-30 is a peak for guys, 45 is a wall zone.

I understand I'm in the minority here, but from having basically specialized in the cougar market (writing a book on it) for years now, they have as many orbiters as the 20-25 age bracket. A hot older woman in the US has as many options as hot younger. The ratios aren't good, and single guys are typically desperate for a woman who is good-looking and in shape, regardless of her age, within reason of course, late 40s it tapers off.

Depends a lot on the guy, but it is pretty hard to be a player past 60 if you are not famous or very rich, regardless of what shape you are in.

Most 60+ guys who want action from much younger women are either doing pay-for-play or sugardaddy type stuff to get action.

A cougar in her early to mid 40s, that is attractive, in great shape, and sports a set of nice fake titties will still be in demand, but you have to understand that is like the top 5%-10% of women in that age bracket.

So you can't just compare the top women in that age bracket to all men in her age bracket, you have to compare them to the top 5%-10% of men in that age bracket as well. The top 5%-10% of men in their 40s can easily date attractive women in their twenties and early thirties.

Case closed.

It's when you cross the line from middle-aged to old man. I'm looking in the mirror and seeing it happen at 57. Wattles on your chin, gray, balding, etc.

There's only so much you can do to keep in shape. For example, when i work out and get lean, the skin on the face sags and I actually look older. When the face fills out, I look younger but am fatter.

Joe Biden would be some kind of ideal for my type. At 71 he looks better than me, but then there are the rumors of facelifts and Botox he did. Which I am not going to do.

I think Rollo's graph is pretty accurate, I can pull down to girls in late-30s and have good relationships with them. Younger than that and I get the "hey you creepy old man" or golddigger vibe.

I am cool with that and don't mind banging a lot of women 35-55 that I would have been happy banging when I was 18. I am going to try to push the age down a little, though.

Someday this will happen to you if you're lucky. Because what's the alternative to getting old?
