RE: Older Guys (40+)
I can only speak to TRT here but a consensus seems to be forming that TRT does not cause prostate cancer. There are various studies that have been done now and the data is showing that there is no link between prostate cancer and TRT. After all, TRT involves the use of bio-identical testosterone to replace what's missing, to get you back to a more normal physiologic level, not to take you far above and beyond as in doing a cycle of test. The other steroids that guys use are synthetic derivatives of testosterone so it would follow that the effects of those drugs could be more deleterious. Rudeboy, you're right that its not 100% (very few things are in science) but after looking at the various studies and considering a lack of prostate cancer in my family history, I decided the benefits far outweighed any risks, real or imagined.
I always tell people when I recommend certain treatment plans that they have to be comfortable with it and to do their own due diligence before committing to a certain procedure. What works for me may not be ideal for you or anyone else but in my case, the TRT has really helped a lot and my psa levels have remained normal, my triglycerides which were high are now normal and my LDL levels are getting lower. It's been a boon for me which is why I like to put it out there as an option for guys to consider. If it's not for them, cool, don't do it. Don't do what you aren't comfortable with. It's how I practice too.
The purpose of money isn't for buying shit, it is for buying your way out of shit.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Studying for USMLE Step 2 here, take the test March 30th.
TRT puts you at risk for DVTs, increases the risk of BPH and prostate cancer. This is due to increased levels of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) created by enzyme 5α-reductase which catalyzes the formation of DHT from testosterone. DHT is the most potent form of testosterone in your body, and is responsible for secondary male characteristics and male pattern baldness.
Now I am going to be blunt, TRT is fucking awesome for men over 40- I have seen the effects in many of my friends, and it is profound. Just be aware of the risks and go in with your eyes open. If you do TRT stay hydrated, cut down on alcohol intake, use baby aspirin daily, and monitor your PSA, get coagulation studies, eat right, work out , and take care of yourself. You do not get all the positives of TRT without some side effects- just make an informed decision, it is your body and you only get one.

I guess I got lucky then because I haven't really had any sides. I even still have all of my hair and its pretty long right now. TRT will speed up hair loss but only if you're predisposed to it. My hematocrit has stayed in range too which like you said is another thing to watch. But your're right, the effects will be different for each person which is why medical treatment needs to be tailored to individual needs and this shouldn't be embarked upon without serious consideration. Watching alcohol intake is important too, I definitely can't drink as much but that's no great loss for me. As to prostate cancer though, it seems the more recent studies aren't finding that link but Atlanta maybe you could shed more light on that.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Just a few thoughts that have been on my mind.
I have been laying of the internet of late, I was in my own head way to much, like AB was saying above. I do have trouble with it though, what do you guys do? I live in a sort of small city and have to be here for the time being while I make some money. I have a plan that im working towards for true freedom, but it takes time that I must sacrifice now, for later benefits.
Most of my mates are in relationships, they have young kids and really are going to be slaves for the next 20 or so years as they dont seem to get the big picture. They have lost there zest for life and are just on auto pilot. Its not that having kids enslaved them, more their lack of foresight and control of their women. They are in debt up to the hilt living a lifestyle they have not yet earned. I have always thought differently to most but Im so thankful for this forum and particularly this thread, im not sure I would have figured out this stuff on my own, or even more so followed through without the support of like minded men.
Anyway do any of you guys do classes? Yoga, boxing etc, how do you find it? For meeting girls, friends etc.

I do salsa/bachata. Might rejoin yoga soon. These are all at the uni. In all these and other spots, there will be competition. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It never gets easy to bang sexy lassies. Just put yourself on the line, and approach wherever and whenever you can. The older you get, the tougher it gets, so start right now instead of musing about coulda, shoulda, woulda. Hurry up before you get too old to bang 20 year olds.

TRT does not necessarily put you at risk for thrombosis, and it is definitely not proven to increase risk for cancer.
He is right that you should get coags if you consider it, but more important, levels of estradiol are likely the real clot inducers (though aromatase inhibitors, which stop enzymatic conversion to estrone and estradiol, are strangely prothrombotic) ...
I often wonder what the levels are for the guys who are low or that are considering it, I must say.

Yes, yes, yes...and the doctrine of collateral estoppel requires res judiscata to proximately induce promissory mens rea, inchoately precipitating inducement through the dormant commerce clause, en banc, using the Lemon test for adhesion constricted by the subsequent remedial measures rule contrasted against the "but for" preponderance of plurality appellate rulings for no-fault damages versus equitable executive interests confounded by the rule against perpetuities, unless fee simple subject to condition subsequent.
Even then, your argument is more prejudicial than probative, according to FRCP 403 (CA 352). Rule 11 sanctions, perhaps?
There. Got to use some big words today. I feels smart again.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
I'm 42 years old. Here are 10 things I've noticed about game that feel different at my age..
1. Stabilized SMV in 40s/50s; then declining SMV thereafter:
I think in one's 40s and 50s, a man's SMV tends to stabilize if his job skills/finances increase. In other words, as his increasing age devalues his SMV, increases in his financial maturity/stability can offset this devaluation. However, once he gets to his late 50s, his SMV continues to decline. None of this is necessarily bad news as a woman's SMV is in consistent decline from age 40 on; but if you're looking for a 10+ year age gap (and it seems pretty much every guy on this thread is), then this is an important reality to embrace. I'm planning to get to SEA by 60; would go sooner, but I don't think my finances will allow for it. Once I go, I don't think I'll ever come back. For the next 18 years, I want to have as many positive experiences with western women as I can get.. will make that SEA pussy seem even sweeter by comparison once I get to it..
2. A woman's sexuality matters more to me than her looks:
You know how a woman looks right away, but you really don't know how sexual she is until you've had sex with her a few times.. Life is short and I would only LTR a woman who was very sexual.. I don't mind gaming women who don't blow me away with their looks at first, because I may find out soon into things that she's very sexual, which could make up for a lot.. But the older I get, the less pure looks alone turn me on..
3. The older I get, the easier it is to reject a woman or end a relationship:
My standards are higher and life is shorter. I used to feel like a jerk, but I'm getting so over it now.. You have to take the risk of ending things sometimes to free up your time and allow space for better pussy to come into your life.. The older I get, the more appreciation I have for the adage "all's fair in love and war".
4. Nothing builds/rebuilds confidence like success with women:
I was going through a real hard time a couple months back after a job loss, breakup, and weight gain.. but I persisted in the field, have been getting laid over the last 6 weeks, and am getting my confidence back. Cultivating and maintaining your confidence is mandatory as you age - don't let anyone or anything harm it.
5. No one will look after your future but you:
You have to have a plan. Be responsible with your health/fitness, your finances, and your mental health / sanity - don't let any woman damage these assets of yours.
6. Game matters less as you get older:
It becomes more about "owning it"; about recognizing your self-worth rather than trying to convey it. You have a lot of experience with women at this point. And you're wise/experienced enough to structure logistics properly, which is 80% of game anyway.
7. You won't get tired of good pussy:
If you're a sexual guy, you'll never get tired of having good pussy.. you're just smart enough when you're older not to overpay/overwork for it..
8. Gaming women closer to your own age is ironically slower/harder at first:
This one surprised me, but it makes a lot of sense to me now. Women my age are very afraid of being hurt and end up pulling a lot of anti-slut defense. But a little bit of patience combined with good game and this melts away. But this really threw me off at first.. There is pretty much an unlimited supply of single women my age, but many of them have kids. Once I get through the ASD, women fall really hard for me - and that helps me with my confidence. I don't mind gaming women my age, because it's good practice and it builds confidence.. it strengthen my skills for when better opportunities arise.. Don't be reticent to be gangster with your game on women your age just to build your confidence; because that's pretty much what those same bitches did to you back when you were in your 20s..
9. Women 20 years younger than me respond really well to game (lots of IOIs), however I find them pretty hard to close:
I'm still working on this one, so stay tuned..
10. It's always been a numbers game and it will always be a numbers game:
This is a phenomenon that hasn't changed a bit as I've gotten older. The only difference for me is that I have less time in front of me now and so I tend to savor the bitch I'm fucking more before I dump her and go back to the field to roll the dice again..

RE: Older Guys (40+)
As a 41 year old male, in good shape, bald but with a serious beard (no grey), I have found the most receptive women to my approaches have been between 22- 26 years old. I try to approach 18-21 regularly but the flake/no reply rate is ridiculous in Atlanta. When I am in Miami 18-39 are all receptive, but my baseline effort is a lot higher than in Atlanta. Hell, in Atlanta they open me-in Miami I open them (unless it is 5 am at the club and the drunk girls are looking to "party" and get fucked up and fuck, then they come to the man with the "party").

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Spring time fellas, seem to have a lot of gals opening me last week. I would like to say it's because I look fabulous, but that's not the case.
Barista gal says to me this morning, "I am always in here" with a big smile. This is my second time at this Starbucks location.
She then proceeds to ask me what I am doing, I reply I am working.
She then replies, "are you working on a book".
Author game in full effect. lol
Being an older dude the shit you can say is more believable.

A few random thoughts watching an SNL from 1992: These people I grew up watching in the 80's are gods to me now. Annie Lennox, jesus christ, can she belt one out. I knew she was good as a teenager, but damn, I want to go back and buy all of her stuff now. GE Smith, Chris Rock, Chris Farley, legends. Late 80's-Early 90's, not a bad time to come of age.
