There are a few reasons for so much confusion regarding dosage...

1. Two people will get different results off the same dose. The people who get better results are always the ones who were better off in the first place. It's going to exacerbate your current condition.

Remember, there are women in great shape who have very little test...

2. UGL gear is not always dosed correctly. Sometimes it doesn't even contain the correct drugs. You guys need to understand, most UGL gear is made in a pyrex glass on a kitchen table and then MAYBE it's filtered through a 0.2um filter. The drug itself comes in a bag from China and unless you have a real good hook up, you're not going to be able to test the drug for purity, strength, or even that it's the correct drug. What you think is 200mg/ml might only be 120mg/ml and you're never going to know unless you can compare blood work on it Vs bloods on doctor prescribed gear from a real pharmacy. It's an unpleasant experience when you get bunk test and all of the sudden you're having serious problems. I can't tell you how many times I've bought tren that turned out to be mast or npp.

If you always get doctor gear, you'll avoid this.

I do labs every couple of months to keeps tabs on levels. You have to check it regularly....its not a get-started-and-forget-about-it thing.

Anybody used p5 or p6 testosterone pills from GNC? The guy said he recommended that over force factor because unlike the latter, it limits estrogen build up.

Also on gnc whebolic protein and gnc creatine pills. Getting good results with those.

Testosterone pills are useless.

They. Do. Not. Work.

Only injectable test and (and to a FAR lesser extent) diet and lifestyle changes will increase your testosterone levels.

Don't waste your money on crap.

I had my blood work done recently:

Total Testosterone: 704 ng/dl
Free Testosterone: 3.18 ng/dl
Vitamin D: 104 ng/dl
E2: 51 pg/ml
TSH: 1.6

I am probably around 9-13% BF so I was surprised to see my estrogen so high.

My goal originally was to see if I could do a cycle of test in order to train more jiu jitsu. I currently train 3-4 days a week and I would like to do 5-6 days a week. Muscle soreness is an issue.

However, it doesn't seem like running test would do me much good. My estrogen is too high and this is probably what is causing my free test to be low. My Vitamin D level is near-toxicity on some charts so that might be causing problems. I do feel good in general.

So would it be worth running test or would I be better off with a SI such as Arimistane? I would rather not do a SI because I don't want to tax my liver. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I could eat healthier to lower the estrogen, but I'm not sure by how much I could lower it by.

Anyone run T cycles/blasts (300mg/wk+) with prescription TRT?

My doc is strict on not ordering early. I'm thinking of running HCG only for a couple of months while I stockpile testosterone for a 5 week 300mg/wk cycle.

Have you tried supplements such creatine, B-alanine, HMB, Citrullina Malate ect?

LH 6.0 1.7-8.6 mIU/mL
FSH 2.9 1.5-12.4 mIU/mL
Estradiol 34.7 7.6-42.6 pg/mL
Prostate Specific Ag, Serum 1.0 0.0-4.0 ng/mL

I'm early 40's, 6'0" 165lbs, lifting only 1-2 times a week as I've moved to climbing 2-3 times a week, get outside to hike and walk the dog regularly. Sleep 6-8 hours a night, eat fairly well, drink moderately to regularly. I have no trouble with erections or libido, regularly wake up with morning wood. I'm realizing I've been suffering from some depression, have low self esteem in spite of having a pretty sweet life, sometimes short tempered and angry, sometimes trouble focusing at work. I take some supplements: VitD, ZMA, fish oil. Any thoughts on those numbers? The estradiol seems high based on what I'm reading here.

Your estradiol is fine. For your age, you're doing well. Not all depression is test/est related. What basis do you have to believe that it's high?

Estrogen gets a bad rap. In excess, it can cause prostate issues, gyno, fat gain, ect.

However, it also does a bunch of great stuff too. Helps your cholesterol, joint health, ect. If you ever want to feel like shit and have the worst orgasms ever, crash your estrogen. You won't even be able to eat it's awful.

So hormonally you're ok, and better than many for your age. Now there are a lot of other things you can look at in a blood test to determine if things are optimal, and to talk about all of them would take a very long time.

The real question is "what do you want?".

To not feel blue? Or to feel superhuman?

I've heard a few names used. One name is an endocrinologist. Another name used on the definitions page of some steroid forums is "idiot" because so many of the doctors that deal with TRT are clueless. Dr. Saya of Defy Medical and Dr. Crisler of All Things Male are TRT specialists that are widely respected and treat people remotely. I'm sure there are others but I don't know who they are.

I doubt you are going to accomplish much by not taking injections for a while so you can do a short cycle. It seems like possible downside with very little upside. I don't know what your goals are but I think you would be better off buying some extra testosterone from another source and taking a slightly higher dosage consistently.

Another option is to do more frequent injections. You can probably raise your testosterone levels by 30% or 40% by switching from weekly injections to daily injections. See this article for more information: Increased Testosterone From Frequent Injections

There are many misconceptions about estrogen especially in a thread like this where it is mostly the blind leading the blind. If the only basis for your opinions is this thread then find a better source of information or ask Steelex which I guess is what you did.

Two common misconceptions are that testosterone cannot be too high and estrogen cannot be too low. These are both incorrect.

If you aren't taking injections and you aren't fat then it is very unlikely that your estrogen is too high.

Unless the estradiol test you took was the ultra-senstive test (which I believe is only available in the US) then the test is probably not accurate and probably over estimates your actual estradiol levels.

I am somewhat estrogen sensitive and I've read a lot about these issues. It's just my opinion but I wouldn't bother getting that test done unless you can get the ultra-sensitive test and are experiencing issues. The standard test is much more likely to create a false alarm than anything else.

I'm talking and working with a local forum member who is very experienced with TRT, and I trust him but am the type to want to learn as much as I can especially when it's about my well being. In addition to this thread I've been reading the articles on Danger and Play, as well as a few other sites. I tend to take a hands-off approach from major interventions; I do the basics to maintain my health and feel and look good and as those test results show I'm in generally quite good health. My regular doc doesn't even want to see me every year, says I'm doing great. The only fat on my body is on my belly, and it's only enough to obscure my abs, I have a 2-pack instead of a 6-pack.

To answer your question, initially I would have said I want to not feel blue. The forum member I'm talking to is steering me to superhuman and I've giving it serious consideration. Since I have been feeling off lately (low libido, half erections) I decided to get a blood test done to check my testosterone levels. I'm 5'6, and currently 185 lbs with roughly 15% body fat. I have lifted regularly and played sports for years and have always maintained a high level of fitness. So now that I am 30 and a few years out of my military service, I have felt a bit off since my routine changed.

Total testosterone: 621 ng/dl
Vitamin D 25: 41.8 ng/ml

I have relatively normal test levels which surprised me considering my low libido, unfortunately I wasn't able to test my estrogen. It may be due to the stress of moving to a new country and working to pursue my Masters degree. Even so, my sex drive shouldn't be this low, to the point where I can only get half chubs. I think I will have a minor reset and cut down my supplement intake to only Vit D, ZMA, and fish oil. Previously I was taking DIM, multi-vitamins and test booster pills (I know, bad and ineffective). I normally follow the SL 5x5 workouts and have been slacking so definitely need to get back to lifting big and eating big.

The correct estradiol tests are:
Quest 140244 sensitive estradiol
LabCorp 500108 Sensitive Estradiol

Some people say the other estradiol tests essentially mean nothing because they are so inaccurate.

If you start TRT I recommend working with a doctor who specializes in TRT. To keep estrogen in line I recommend starting with a low to moderate TRT dosage because your levels will probably increase more than you think. There is a lot of misinformation on the Internet about TRT dosages, i.e. many people suggesting that 200mg week is a TRT dosage but some of the most respected doctors having success with patients on only 80mg or even 60mg per week. Do not take any anti-estrogen medication until you get the correct estrogen test done about 2 or 3 months after starting TRT. Anti-estrogen medication is much more likely to be needed if you keep your TRT levels above normal human ranges.

This might not be a popular comment but I don't recommend the Danger and Play podcasts on TRT anymore although I recommended them previously. Mike gives some good information in the second podcast but there is too much incorrect information the first podcast and too much inconsistent information throughout both podcasts. Most of the wrong information comes from the other guy Jay. Those podcasts were done a few years ago and there is much better information available now.

Unfortunately there's not enough data to determine whether it's hormonal or psychological. Did you get free testosterone and sensitive estradiol pulled?
