I was in the middle of messaging you a detailed breakdown of my text techniques, when the forum window reset and ate my reply. I've got it roughly sketched out in word now, and will rewrite it tomorrow.
This part of it is still fresh in my head, and I'm hoping it might be of use to you for the model. You'll know if it fits your style or not, so either experiment or discard.
Avoid tentative prods of 'hello', 'hi's' or 'whatsap', unless you were deliberately playing Man Of Few Words in your initial meeting. Yours sounded more casual / playful, so continue the vibe.
What you are looking to do is
re-engage her positive emotional state at the time she gave you her contact details by reminding her of the enjoyable, flirty situation you were in. Days have passed, her mood has changed, so simply try to lead her back into it via your framing so you're not starting from scratch to warm her up.
I think of this as
continuing the conversation, and I learnt it from the ways girls usually re-open me in person if we'd run into each other. It was never a 'hello', it was always somehow referring back to our last interaction, meaning they remembered it and me.
It's similar to techniques I've seen in movies and songwriting, where they suggest you start IN the action. Girls think of themselves as characters in movies, so treat texting like scriptwriting. You rarely see characters make introductory small talk in movies. Start in the action, or assume it never stopped. I expect girls are getting normalised to this, as they do much more texting than us. Think about the time line of text conversations, and how the conversation can stop for a couple of hours and then instantly continue. Simply treat the gap between the physical then and the virtual now as a pause in a text conversation.
During your initial conversation, she would have dropped plenty of potential ways to continue the conversation in a way that should instantly remind her of the context, and, as such, who you are, without you having to state your name. It's a good combination of accelerated familiarity / intimacy, and arrogant assumption that
of course she should remember who you are.
This is great for avoiding the beginner 'Whassap' / 'Who Is This' / 'Overqualifying Response Suggesting Insecurity' / 'Male insecurity then placing her in position of power in the conversation' trajectory that leads into the pussy-drying nightmare of 'What are you doing?' small talk.
I always plan ahead as I go for digits, and store away anything that might be useful to re-open, (I'm good at juggling abstracts, but if you're not: immediately braindump any points you remember into a text file on your phone once she's out of sight).
If I'd been in your situation, I might have reengaged with a playful, slightly self-deprecating text like this, which matches the cheeky larrikin style I often use to game women:
Quote:“I’ve been hitting the gym hard for the last few days since your impressive gun show in the park."
[beat, second message]
"Not cause I’m not threatened or anything. Really. I just love me some serious competition.”
- You're referring to a shared, personal experience between you two, so she knows who you are, avoiding the 'hi who is this' drudgery she has with the other men who contact her.
- 'in the park' is an added reminder of the place, to help re-suggest the emotional state
- 'not cause I'm threatened or anything. really." - seemingly playful self-deprecation
- 'I just love me some serious competition' - then swerve unexpectedly into teasing confidence. Of course you both know she's not a physical threat to you, but she's training to be a lawyer. She'll get the competitive vibe.
You might want to go a little more serious, in which case, there's bound to be something either model or law-related you could open with. (If Law-Related, maybe go for whomever is the Current Heroic Aspirational Female Lawyer on TV, then ask her if she'd rather be her, or Saul Goodman).
If she still throws a 'who is this' at you, she's either brain-dead, or deliberately jostling for power in the interaction, in which case,
pull her hair mercilessly:
Quote:“So, you show off your muscles to all the boys? I’m hurt. I thought I was special.”
or something like:
Quote:“Huh. Obviously you’re going to be the Watson to my Sherlock in this relationship. Keep up, Dr. Hotone, the game is afoot.”
That's a classic Mr. Darcy Neg: impatience and a slight irritation at having to slow down for her. Admittedly, it might a dangerous tact with a Lawyer, unless you had killer dominant frame in the initial encounter. You get the idea though. She
should remember you, and you find her a bit foolish for being confused over something so
simple.
It's best to come up with responses more in tune with your own personality. I can only guess at the vibe you both had going.
Short version:
Avoid her asking who you are by leading her back into her previous positive emotional state by reminding her of the meeting, the conversation and general vibe before diving in with logistics, and she'll be more agreeable to it.
Out of time here. I'll pvt message you tomorrow with another re-engagement tactic: "It's the strangest thing..."
