Previous games had some really great channels, like Liberty Rock Radio in GTA 4.

This game the musical wealth is spread around a bit. The rock channel is good, the pop channel is alright and the two rap stations are pretty good.

Im not sure what my fav stations are, I know theres some good songs spread out on there.

It really feels like real life cause I am constantly flipping stations and through commercials waiting to hear a song I like.

I managed to borrow the game for 24 hours, played for 17 out of the 24.

Stocks are mostly a fool's arend for the most part, you end up making chump change. I did make some coin off of Debonair doing a mission though, like $30,000. Also, stock prices often correspond to what you do in the game: FlyUS shares decline if you steal one of their jets. If you want to make money, invest in the LCN stocks with a small per share price, you'll make more money that way.

Another way to make money is to invest in the junkyard ($275,000) or buy the movie theater ($20 million). You can also juice armored cars, which yield $5000.

I do so before a heist or one of Lester's missions although sometimes BASDAQ is down for maintenance. If Lester is saying to kill the CEO of a company, put all your money in the competition and sell the stock 2 minutes after the mission ended. You can also try to switch characters so they can pump all their cash with that competitor too.

For quick cash, I had trevor buy the airfield and then completed the gun running mission. 7K per run.

There's a pretty sweet heist about half way through the game. If you wait until after that then Franklin has enough capital to make Lester's assassinations very profitable in the stock market.

Just beat the game (well the story mode part of it). Really awesome game, bummed it came to an end. I actually really liked that you could switch between the three characters.

Also, choose the quiet style heists rather than the shoot out ones. Investing in average but one good team member helps too.

I made like 3.5 million on the first heist by going this way rather than 300K-1M doing it the first way.

For the first heist: average driver, crapper shooter (didn't need a good one since I was going in quiet) but a great hacker who got me 90 seconds to steal every single item.

apparently each stock rises 50% before dropping, not sure on this. I just sell after 2 minutes (20%ish)

Free Weapon Upgrades
Here’s a pretty sneaky way to get weapon upgrades for free. While you are doing a mission head into an Ammu-nation Store and buy all the weapon upgrades you want as well as a grenade (if you don’t have one already). Once you’ve got your upgrades head out of the Ammu-nation and blow yourself up with a ‘nade. The mission you’re on will then fail and you’ll have to start over. However once you restart you’ll have all the money you had before you purchased the weapons upgrades, and if you go back to an Ammu-nation Store you’ll see that the upgrades you purchased have remained in tact!

Is it a good idea to have a separate discussion thread to avoid spoiling the game for our fellow rvf brethren or shall we continue to use this one?

Anyway, just gonna post my observations.

Gameplay: The best one yet. Gunplay is smooth. Driving is decent. IDK why people bitched about IV's driving. The 3 protagonist perspective is a unique mechanic that works well. Trevor is a memorable one.

The Graphics are insane! At times it looks better than Red Dead. I remember one scene in particular where you're out in the country and a massive thunderstorm appeared. The thunder was just.... wow.

A reminder that the online component launches on the 1st of October.

So I complete a mission with Michael and quickchange to Franklin who is cranking out a set of pullups out at Venice Beach. It must be women's workout day because I hardly see any men. First woman I see is this beast...



I make my way over to the weight rack and the freak show continues...



I figure my luck is too good to be true. I hop into the weight pit to try and take a pic of a black chick doing a set of bench presses. I whip out my phone just as she's finishing her set. She gets up, bumps into ME and then starts shit with me.

The juice must've gotten to the bitch's head. I pull out my blade, things happened...

Anyone been playing the online? Its fun save for a few things that piss me off to no end.

1) you lose money when you die, then you spawn 10 feet away from the guy who just killed you

2) I can never find people to play with and have never done more than 2 games in a row.

3) I spend more time in loading screens than doing shit

4) FUCK THOSE FAGGHAUT 14 YEAR OLDS WITH MICS. why is the player talk so much louder than the actual game. I sign in and spend the first 5 minutes getting killed while trying to mute all these fuckers. Even then theres no easy mute button (I can find) you have to click a bunch of buttons. In CoD you can just press square to mute everyone real quick.

Just got the game last week and goddamn, the way Japan censor things some time feel quite jarring. Trevor did the motions to take his pants off and his pants are still there lol.
