Walk up smiling and just as I open my mouth she says GTA? And some neckbeard shows up too and says he also wants one. Fuck.

I pull out my cash and hand it to her and just as I open my mouth to say something else all I hear is

I just started watching archer.

I pick up and its my financial person. I bitch them out for fucking all my info up and we start discussing financial shit.

I want to ask this because i just read that GTA will require 8 gb. I have a 120 gb slim model ps3 and see that theres an extra slim 500 gb. Is it a lot faster than the 120? Would a casual gamer be wasting money with it? Im wondering if I should get one next year since the price will drop after ps4 is out for a while.

You are fine with the 120. Its just memory, having more of it won't make the PS3 any faster. You would only need the 500gb if you downloaded tons of games and hd movies from the Playstation store.

Of course you could always man up an get a Xbox360... all the cool kids have one

I'm curious how you guys approach these types of "sandbox" games. I find myself approaching my characters the same way I approach my own life.

*I immediately started looking to max out my physical and mental attributes
*not really interested in wasting time or riding around for no reason, focused on completing missions
*focused on making money and SAVING, not spending
*not interested in strip clubs

I would go for the 500 gb PS. You can also download movies and other shit and store it on your console, which is what I do.

I don't play all that much, but games Skyrim & GTA tend to take up a lot of room. 120 sounds like a lot, but just installing GTA, Call of Duty & Skyrim would probably take up 30-35% of your hard drive and that's before any saved games.

The way I approach 'sandbox' games:

Disable mini-map and any HUD, the thrill I got from playing Red Dead Redemption that way was one of the best experience I ever had.

Edit: Actually I have more to say than that. Part of GTA V is that it satirizes a large part of american culture, and the modern american woman is part of that. Here's an email from one of the character's aunt:

find a store who's stock value is low, buy stock. Then go rob one of their rivals. The rival stock will drop while your stock will rise. Sell your stock at a profit and repeat.

I haven't been progressing on missions; I've been trying to max my physical attributes. Been walking
around downtown sneaking up on people and giving them the karate death chop to try and up my stealth rating.

One fucking annoying thing is the cops. They're much more responsive than previous versions, and they don't go away as soon.

I also noted that if they're looking for you and you lose them (wanted level disappears), they hang around the area and if they see you they'll bust you. That really pissed me off last night.

losing them on the freeway can sometimes be a nightmare, the best way I found was hiding in alleyways and sliproads, most of the time they will be circling the block and won't get out to find you.

I like all the characters in that game, but Trevor is hilarious.
