I much prefer Franklin and Mike. I actually wish it was just those two. I'm sure as I progress this opinion will change though. I've only done a few missions with Trevor.

My mission to acquire GTA V is now complete, but it was a bit of an annoying one.

I was originally going to grab it on Friday, but made the call Wednesday after seeing all of the reviews to go grab it then since I couldn't wait. My school is in the middle of nowhere and I don't have a car, so that meant it was time for the bus. I got to the stop at 3:30 and didn't get to the plaza until 4:20 or so. I wait around for like 10 minutes for this local fattie with a bad red hair dye job to assist me. She finally grabs the game, unlocks the security packaging, and is about to ring it up when she asks "I just need your ID".

I'm panicking at this point because I only had my school ID. I tell her that, hoping she'll have mercy.

"Sorry, I card everyone!"

At this point, a whole bunch of thoughts are racing through my head.

The game is 17+. Do I seriously look 16 to you, woman? What rational person is going to look at someone my size (with facial hair to boot) and assume I'm 16?

I'm a large black male and we are in one of the whitest parts of one of the states in the country. Obviously I don't live here, so why would I be here? COLLEGE. There's only one in the area. You know this and I know this because it is the economic engine that drives this local podunk economy and its enrollment is probably larger than the population of the town you live in. I've got a school ID to prove it.

Given my appearance, the proximity of the local school and all of the school gear I'm wearing, most reasonable people would conclude that I'm obviously a frikkin college student. How many 16 year old college students do you know, woman?

I took 1 hour to get here on the local transit system. You really gonna make me go back another hour and come back again for a piece of plastic that no reasonable person would need to determine my age? You think I have time for this?



Instead of saying all of that or doing anything, I decided to head back and grab the ID. I got back to town at 5:30 and caught the next bus out to the plazas. While waiting for a connection bus to take me to the plaza stop at around 6:20, I was told by a driver that I was out of luck. The last bus to the plazas ran at 6:10, and she was the last bus I could take to get back to my campus.
She was nice about it so I thanked her and caught her bus home. I arrived at 7:00.

That's 3.5 hours spent on a bus and fuck-all to show for it. I thought about going back to the store to get the game later in the week, but as I walked home I said "fuck it". That woman didn't have to be such a hardass and she resulted in my wasting 3 hours of my life that I will not get back. I went online and ordered the game via one-day shipping. Just opened the package today. Should have done that from the start (only cost $10 more than I'd have paid at the store and obviously took much less time), but whatever. Live and learn.

Of course, I still can't play it since my XBox does not have 8GB of space, but that's not a big deal. I'll go grab a 16-32 GB flashdrive tomorrow from a local computer store (which is thankfully close enough for me to walk to), configure it for the XBox and install the game after I get out of class. I shall then proceed to devote the entirety of this weekend to GTA V.

TL;DR: Got the game, no thanks to fake redheaded fattie in podunk town plaza. Fuck her and her employers, I'm still going to play the shit out of this game and enjoy my weekend (homework? what homework? fuck that too).

I must say, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it (i must be sick!).

You have a choice of pliers to the teeth, a monkey wrench to the knee, car battery electrocution, and wait for it .... water boarding.

You use the extracted information to shoot an ME guy throwing a party.

Absolutely crazy.

Ive been on the series since Part 1 and played them all, only part 3 I never finished since I didnt have a playstation at that time and only played it at friends. I think I was about 12 when the first came out and me and my friends played the demo to death. You would still get money for killing pedestrians and they had these crazy rampages with flamethrowers and rocket launchers.

So many memories with this series.

Remember playing Liberty City stories when I broke up with my psycho ex g/f and she would harass me on the phone and couldnt believe I was more happy with the videogame than with her.

Recently bought all the old GTA games for 10 bucks on steam and played again through Vice City and San Andreas. Those games are still top notch today to me.

What's your favorite radio station?

Previous games had some really great channels, like Liberty Rock Radio in GTA 4.

This game the musical wealth is spread around a bit. The rock channel is good, the pop channel is alright and the two rap stations are pretty good.
