Islam is a respectable religion when practised by moderate people.

Anyways, I don't like to see them building mosque like that in states.
I am not even white and I am not religious.
I know those arabs are going to get offended like crazy (they are very sensitive with their religion) by my comment.
But what if they want to build big mormon church in one of those countries? can they even send some missionaries to convert muslims?

They want to build mosque in states but they don't want christian church in their country yes or no?

Plus, it just doesn't look natural in U.S
eg it looks natural to see Buddhist temple in thailand than some gothic style catholic building.

I don't know why so many people are afraid of islam...I think is a matter of fear...look at turkey..most of their Young population see the world in a tolerant way..turkey it's the example of development and example to the rest of the islamic world..

I have many muslim friends and they have explain to me all about the misconceptions and prejudices...and the more "radical" e.g. arabia saudí,yemen,pakistan...it's more a matter of culture rather tan religión...

Most of this Young generations with integrate with us without any problem

look at the christians...they have evangelist,mormons...are they tolernt?c'mon..

I'm afraid you guys have a very naive view of politics and Islam. The way Islam works is by galvanizing their peaceful followers into becoming violent.

Take, for example, the Woolwich execution or Boston Bombings. First you have a few fanatics that terrorize the non-Muslims. This then incites hated against ALL Muslims, including the peaceful ones. People then react by burning down Mosques, attacking Muslims, etc. Then peaceful Muslims are thrown into conflict whether they like it or not.

And the violent Muslims, although minorities amongst the Islamic population, will continue their violence until they succeed in generating as much hatred from the non-Islamic population as possible. Their goal is to generate hatred, and we will continue to see Islamic riots, beheadings, and bombings, until the local population hates Islam with all of their might.

At this point, the "peaceful" Muslims will have no choice but to fight back and defend themselves, and then they will be in the same group as "violent" Muslims. Thus there is no significant difference between "violent" and "peaceful" Muslims - they are both on the same team, and the violent Muslims will make sure the peaceful ones remember that.

Study up on the history of Lebanon or Egypt for good examples of this. Modern day Islamic Turkey has to continually deal with their extremists as well (that's why they have a mandatory draft).

That is why the entire religion is toxic and probably should be banned from any civilized country.

What disappoints me about the recent beheading in London and Boston bombings etc is where are the peaceful Muslims marching and saying 'not in our name'? It is always down to the press to speak up for moderate Muslims, telling us how 'not all Muslims' are like this and how the majority are outraged. Well where is the outrage? Where are the moderate peaceful ones vocally condemning the extremists and condemning the barbaric beliefs of the extremists? I see a couple of community leaders in the press but what I want to see is 1000's of them out on the streets saying that the extremists have no place in their community,mosques etc. The community must know who these potential killers are right? Why are they never handing them over to the police? Why are they not snitched up by fellow worshippers in the mosques? The impression it gives is that secretly, deep down, that the community somehow supports the killers amongst them through their collective silence.

i.e:

Cartoonist draws a picture of Mohammed and a pig = thousands on the streets calling for Sharia law and the death of cartoonist.

British soldier beheaded in London by Muslims calling for a holy war = One or two Muslim guys on tv saying 'not all of us are like that'.

Where is the condemnation?

I have travelled and lived in Muslim countries such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan and the North Caucasus and have found Muslims extremely hospitable and friendly, I have never had any problem and received only hospitality as far as I can remember. They really are good people in the majority and far from radicalised ( Indonesian and Kyrgyz Muslims like to get drunk and bang as much as the next guy ). Islam however in Europe does have huge issues that need to be brought out in open debate and addressed mainly by their own community. Until that happens and the millions of peaceful Muslims in Europe say 'enough is enough - we don't support these idiots and will root them out and hand them over whenever we find them' then we will continue to have problems and resentments.

The fucking political correctness and tiptoeing around Islam within US law enforcement is pathetic.

The triple throat slashing (beheading) of Jews on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, should have been a red flag. We now know that at least one of the Boston bombers were responsible, since the gun used by him to kill the Boston cop (after the bombings) was stolen from one of the Jewish victims.

Killing Jews is one of the highest forms of jihad under Islam. Law enforcement needs to better trained on Islamic doctrine.

Muslim Brotherhood groups like CAIR have done a good job in dismantling counter-terror programs of references to jihad. Our administration has taken out all references to Islamic jihad from counter terror manuals and training materials.

If law enforcement had been properly trained in the jihad threat, they would have worked with FBI and CIA to identify the Muslims that murdered these Jewish boys. And maybe the Boston bombings might never have happened.

Yeah it sort of has a negative stigma to it. Has done since I was old enough to know about it, I'm not sure why it has previously, but now it is because it is primarily used by "far right" groups, like the ones seen in those pictures above. During International football tournaments, it is seen as perfectly 'acceptable' though.

A lot of the hate towards the EDL is 'classist' - as you've proved above. Indeed, much of the support are louts, but despite being a football hooligan, Tommy Robinson (the main leader) is heavily clued up on Shariah, Jihad etc and therefore he is indeed legitimately protesting. I don't support them, and no doubt there are full blown racists in the following...However, one of the leaders is a Sikh, you don't hear that mentioned anywhere, and the points made by Tommy Robinson are called "racist", "Islamophobic" etc, yet they are the exact same points made by leading Conservative writers such as Peter Hitchens and the brilliant Mark Steyn and Douglas Murray. The difference being, the latter are all middle class so it is deemed more acceptable when coming from their mouths.
