If beta, does it help if I painted it myself?

Not a fan of the color, but a big fan of the truck.

The GMT400 is probably the best truck ever built.

At the same time, from what I have seen on here, Hotwheels has the quickest ride on the forum.

To get an idea of what kind of clowns live around here.. They still refer to that as the "new" body style.

Bad to the bone. Only came in black.
Lots of hype on these back in the day only to be embarrassed in the 1/4 mi by me in whatever I was driving. Lot's of money+ not so fast = beta

Maybe one of the original retro beta mobiles right up there with the IROC Z

The GNX isn't nearly as fast or badass as it's legend would have people believe. It wasn't all that much faster than a standard GN or T-type but cost a LOT more.

I'd take a regular ol' GN in a heartbeat. A few easy mods and you are in the well into the 12's. Possibly 11's and still be streetable.

I still think it has a badass look. But you guys are both right on performance - rather the lack thereof. I just found out that it only has a V6. For some reason I thought it had an 8.

I have around $10k dollars to buy motorcycle so I'm thinking either harley 883 iron sportster or ducati 696. If not one of these what cruise/standard bike would you recommend el mechanico. I don't want sport/racer bike.
Thank you for your answer.

RE: Is your ride beta? Let me decide
I take the family truck for first/second/third dates, until I get more familiar with the girl. Is this alpha, try-hard, compensating, beta, etc? I definitely feel more confident (I'm pretty naturally confident, but..) with it. And if a girl asks whether I need it or not - I just reply "When you figure out how to tow 22 thousand pounds in a Prius, let me know." - usually taking a tangent into her being curious about what it's used for.

Yep, it has the big duramax - diesel, ~400hp (specs say 399, but it's definitely capable of more), 765 ft/pounds of torque.

Daily driver.

I'm looking to upgrade the DD to a new car at some point. My parents are pushing for cars like a Honda Fit, Toyota Matrix, etc. Reliable beta cars, essentially. I want to see about a Lexus IS300 or a new Honda CR-Z. Pretty sure the Lexus is alpha, but I'm curious on your impression of the new Honda.

Wanted to fix the images, but by the time I came back to look at them it was past 60 minutes.

I'm 21, on a college budget, so, can't do much on whose it is. I get to drive it around, at least. I'd be buying my daily driver upgrade, at least. Gonna have to work my tail off to afford it though.

I guess us, granola eaters, don't need an oversize vehicle to feel secure about ourselves Wink

944 is my blindfold car. I've owned over 100 of them. All the money it cost to start my business came from me flipping them and parting out.

All beta though. I'll give you +1 for the S and -2 for that color. If I had to own one it would be a white S2

Okay, how about when it's NOT snowing.

A dealer I worked for years ago sold Ponchos, GMC's and Subies out of the same showroom. The running joke was you could always tell the Subie buyers the second they walked through the door due to the granola bars hanging out of their pockets.

btw- I wouldn't mind a BMW 850ci but really don't want the maintenance bills.

Subarus are beasts in the snow and dragstrip if hooked up a little.
