At some point, isn't it hard to keep track of all the leads generated by boosts? I remember a period when I used them pretty heavily, a couple of years ago. It was nice getting lots of matches but talking to the girls was practically a part-time job. The majority of matches went stale very quickly. I guess if you combine them with Tinder Gold it's a different matter, since you can just pick the hotter ones... but that's spending a lot of money on Tinder.

Day 2 of boosting on tinder complete

Decided to test out using 2 boosts again and been getting some good traction. Seem to be matching with hotties almost exclusively which is fantastic.

Got some new girls lined up already, and gonna save a few boosts for Friday and Saturday nights (best time for instant sex in my experience)

When you boost, do you swipe during the boost? Or wait until its done to swipe?

Generally 2-3 new girls /week, can be more depending on luck and time spent on it.

Best times for me are Fridays and Saturdays 7-8pm and onward. Am in Los Angeles and have excellent logistics, your mileage may vary Smile

Re: boosting, I spend prob 200-300/mo on boosts.. all girls come straight to my place for the bang.. just a cost of doing biz. Way cheaper than that amount of money I'd spend getting this many girls otherwise.

How many bangs a month are you getting off $200/300 a month on boosts? Regardless, I'm sure its still more cost effective and effort effective (lol) than going out to a bar or clubs to meet them.

I recall when boost first came out, I bought 20 (~$50). I turned that into about 20 - 25 bangs.

Obviously, boost isn't quite as effective as it used to be, but i'm curious as to what the yield on ~100 boosts a month is.

I deleted tinder, because of lack of results. I am average. I get all these girls that are 4's or 5's. I don't do obesity well...

I'm looking at going paid. It should work right? If it doesn't work, the guy deletes tinder permanently out of frustration and never comes back... It's a small cost.

What are your experiences paying? And what's the best thing to do with regards to that?

I'm at wit's end with tinder. And I'm looking at paying for Bumble depending on ROI.

If you have close to no results with the free version don't expect paying to change that. What paying does is give you more visibility (boosts) so you get results at a faster rate.

If you really want to try it for yourself I recommend tinder plus + boosts.

Tinder gold doesn't seem worth it.
Online apps are 90% dependent on your looks and location.
Heuristics · 2019-04-02 00:50:00 · #7990
Granted i'm in shitty location although it is a place with ample women b/c of universities.

I don't think I look bad, it's just i have the build of a fucking rugby player.

Plus, plus boosts means what exactly?

edit: i'm looking at deleting and then making with a new number. Thus giving me a complete clean slate.

Tinder plus is a monthly subscription, it doesn't really increase your success directly, it's more quality of life changes, most important one is removing the swipe limit so you can swap on more people.

Boosts are the "pay to win" feature since they show your profile to more people.

But if you don't have an attractive profile even with increasing visibility it's going to be hard for 6+ girls to swipe right on you let alone agree to go out.

The best thing you can do is at least make your profile as attractive as possible, (Use the best photos you have and if they are mediocre then take some good photos).

If you put minimal effort in your profile and you are ugly to average you will have to punch below your league. And that's not what anyone wants to do.

Creating a new account is usually a good idea, be sure not to use the same facebook account/number or google play store account/ios if you ever bought premium tinder.
Heuristics · 2019-04-02 01:02:00 · #7992
You get a complete clean start if you delete and reregister with new phone number right? That's what I'm thinking a new phone does. It's like you were never in their system.

So plus gives you unlimited swipes? I don't need that, only a finite number of swipes here.

I need to be shown to more people, or in other words, be put in the front of the line...

We're getting to the good stuff. My profile is weak. I need better photos or more intriguing/ fun photos to be exact.

Yes, medium-low effort means mediocre results... Got it.

Thanks.

Yep. I keep a cheap Android phone as my "Tinder phone". When I feel like resetting I delete the account, uninstall, wait for a few days, buy a new SIM card and start over.

Tinder Plus gets you unlimited swipes + undo (in case you swipe left by accident) + the ability to switch location and swipe in other cities. If you're looking for more exposure, it's not worth it.

Try buying a pack of boosts. Use them between 6PM and 10PM on Wed-Fri (when girls are lonely and swiping after school/work). That's the best way to ramp up on matches, and it's worth it when your profile isn't blessed by the Tinder algorithm.

Quick question: If I made a new account with a phone number and then provided email ID and google payment from my previous account, will Tinder recognize me and use my previous ranking for the new account?

Got 15 matches on the first day and then getting zero in my Tinder Gold list, haven't swiped much but I was expecting a lot more girls in the golden list.
The King · 2019-04-02 08:20:00 · #7995
@Fornication

Yes, tinder will recognise you if you restore purchase with a membership from a previous account. Just nake a new Google account, and start a fresh subscription with Tinder.

Linking your instagram account also has the same effect if I remember correctly. Spotify may but I'm not sure.

This is certainly something new. I've made new accounts before by just providing a new number. Only this time I was asked to provide email ID as well for signing up and the moment I used an old id, I got a message that your account already exists.

Tinder team might as well go Facebook route where it can detect device number, IP address and facial recognition to anti-game us.
Heuristics · 2019-04-02 13:19:00 · #7997
So I picked up a new burner phone today and a prepaid card... I should be good to go right? Someone posted that if you link insta, it could have an adverse effect on your account, or they may find out about old accounts. Any measure of truth to that? If so, I'll avoid linking insta.

Shocked to read how much money is being spent on boots here. If this common among men, then it’s no wonder I get no views or right swipes. It’s become an arms (finger) race.

An attractive profile triumphs all.

Make a profile with an ugly/unattractive guy and spend as much money as you want boosted.

Make another profile with an attractive profile and don't spend a cent.

The attractive profile will win by a landslide.

If you get no right swipes it is because you have an unattractive profile and/or your tinder location sucks, simple as that. Some people don't want to accept this.

I don’t think the main complaint is zero matches, it’s not getting nearly as many matches as you used to.

If a profile has been able to amass several thousands matches on tinder before, and you suddenly drop to a handful a week, it’s not that you suddenly became unattractive overnight or the male competition exponentially increases, it’s that the site fundamentally changed so you are getting fewer matches to drive more spend in their app.

If you never got matches from the start. Then your pics/profile could use improvement. But the fact that many guys report of large success on some apps, and major failures on others suggest it’s not looks that’s the issue. It’s the apps and the science behind them that have changed to be against our favor. The user base across the dating apps largely overlap. So if you’re ugly, you will struggle on all - not do well on some, but struggle on others.

If you really believe tinder is scheming like this it's best to take your money and go elsewhere.

If a 25 match/hour profile goes a whole day without a match, then it's nothing to do with the profile itself.

That IS due to the algorithm. Unfortunately for us we can't access it, but we can make an educated guess through trial and error.

I plan on resetting my account after next weekend and comparing it to boosts. I believe that resets can still be used, but they must be done a different way than before. I'm working on a new method.

Confused. I'm 28 and now it's asking me more money for a plus account. Is it more expensive for 28+ now? Guess I'll have to shave off that year. Hmm it's saying higher price point for 27 too. What's the deal? Wasn't like this yesterday I don't think.

yes, this was circulating around the news a few years ago. They were sued for it, but clearly nothing has changed.

I don't know how statistically improbable my personal experience with Tinder is but here is what happened.

A month ago I had Tinder+ and I pre-swiped a bunch of girls before going to Boston for 8 days. Then I swiped my first 2 days there as well (including some Bumble for which I don't pay). I got so many matches in Boston that I couldn't meet all of them. May be it was the time of the year? Beginning of February? May be it was something else? But I generally have almost zero matching rate on Tinder and the ones that do match me are average at best. So interesting - I got out on dates with 3 different girls from Tinder that week. I also got 2 more girls through day game. That got me 7 nights busy with dates so I didn't have a chance to do any night game.

Now let's fast-forward to today. I canceled my Tinder+ subscription. I matched for 2-3 days now but it limits the number of girls I can swipe to 20 a day. I have no matches yet and it just looks completely dry. I am sure Tinder just wants your money at this point before providing you pussy. I would if I was them. Nothing is free these days especially access to pussy.

Bumble is almost a complete miss at this point for me. I don't even bother with online dating any more. My roommate is killing it on there - but he does no day game and just a little night game. He's attractive, ripped, older then me and probably looking at different demographics. I just feel that the 25 year olds that I am chasing would not consider me in my mid thirties? Why would they? At the end of the day results matter the most. And mine have been bad on Tinder/Bumble.

I was aware of the price doubling for 30+ but it's doing this on a 27 age account and 28 age account so I'm wondering of something else weird is going on. It was giving me lower price point just a few days ago as an option.

Does messaging your match move you up in the ranking? Updating profile pics can also work?
