On the surface this makes it seem like they don't want to be disturbed, but you'd be surprised how quickly those headphones come out when she thinks someone is talking to her. I believe they wear it to have a good workout, not to fend off guys.

The only way I can see getting anywhere at the gym would be to sign up for one of the classes, or perhaps belong to a "trendier" (read: more expensive for the exact same machines) gym.

apparently the fitter a person is the MORE the sweat, because their sweat glands are working better

Good to see this post, whoever revived it. The places that have worked for me:
- anywhere at the University (I know this applies to only some)
- house parties, as mentioned, are the complete gold mine
- coffee shops and book stores, best place for day game
- bars for some, but for me I have no game when it comes to bars

I just found this thread and thought I must contribute. Three ideas that work for me in Denver, CO:

Running Clubs. In Denver there are running clubs just about every night of the week. Do a 5k then mingle and approach girls.

Breweries. There are lots of microbreweries that throw events. Get on their mailing lists. Tons of girls standing around drinking craft beers. I like these events because they are not high pressure like a club, alcohol is involved and the girls I meet are laid back.

Adult softball, kickball leagues and ultimate frisbee leagues. Always a bar afterwards where you can talk etc.

I think the important point to note is that the pickup venue must be optimal for your profile(for some homeless shelter might be the best while for some the coffeeshop), and that's what I'm trying to highlight with examples in the above linked thread.

My fave places to meet girls are busstops and nightclubs. The busstop because its a good time killer and a okay place to practice. As for nightclubs, my mood is usually inflated and I approach like a champ on the dancefloor.

gym sucks
library is good but its tough to find a good looking woman
bar is my favorite
club is good but harder b/c everyone is usually in groups
grocery store is good but it takes time
I personally like at work but that can be trouble sometimes
mall is great but u have to be on your game so be prepared ie dressed to impress and plan out lines
coffee shops work well too but u only have a short window

Have to disagree Roosh...(not that I've tried it) but I think that most
would incredibly annoyed and bothered...like you're encroaching on
their personal space.Of course,if you happen to be a woman's
physical ideal...this may not be the case.

I still feel that a lot of women see an Ipod as a tool to fend off
guy;which happens to work quite well.

If you are stuck in a stoic/solem mindset, it's going to be hard to approach girls out of the blue. I know, because I grew up at the tail-end of genX and in the 90s, it was cool to be dark/ironic/cynical.

Now, that shit is out of style, and everyone is trying to be all positive.

Accept the zeitgeist to your advantage; it's not weird to start a conversation with a stranger. this may sound weird, but I think a great way to get good at talking to women is to just start talking to anyone that seems cool to you.

This will help you get good at approaching strangers. Throw in some day game techniques, and you are on your way.

Clothe shops during weekends, chruches, hair salons, etc. Its funny guys always expect to meet girls but they hit all-male locations such as pubs, or football clubs, etc
