And it isn't like we can just solve this problem overnight. Our culture has been producing sick fucks like this for decades. It will take decades more before anything is solved.

Given that most American's cannot plan more than 1 month into the future, this problem cannot be solved.

all of the people saying "I have kids, I'm devastated" piss me off. They're the same as those people saying "I thought about going to the mall that day". They want to be personally included in the tragedy in some capacity. it's not about you and your kids, goddamnit.

I don't think this is a matter of Americans planning anything.

That thread on "What decade would you want to live in" got me going and I wound up talking to my dad yesterday more in depth about what it was like in the 60s. He mentioned there was this great social upheaval and rejection of all the ideals of the 50s; that is to settle down and have a 'normal, comfortable' life with the house and 2 car garage and shit. The 60s came along and there was this huge anti-materialism movement that swept through the nation's youth. You had kids throwing caution into the wind and moving out west to hitchike up and down the California coast, park out in San Fran and sleep in parks, smoke weed, and fuck. It really was a social revolution.

Maybe nothing came of it, but the point I'm trying to make is that in ONE DECADE, an entire generation of youth decided to say fuck it, we're not swallowing the Kool Aid and we're gonna do whatever the fuck we want. All that's required to mobilize youth is a massive undercurrent of dissatisfaction.

Obviously we're not there. Our youth is far too desensitized, pacified, and pussified by tech gadgets and social media. But how long will that last? I don't think it will be forever. Call me insane but I swear I can feel this undercurrent of dissatisfaction growing. That's what the red pill is all about. It's too bad none of us could have reached out to this lunatic in Connecticut, but one day we might be able to.

I'm not betting against the U.S. just yet. We've had periods of great social reform in very short amounts of time in the very recent past. Most guys on here are probably 40 and under so we never experienced it so it's easy to become cynical. As enlightened post-red-pill men, it will be our duty to influence the generations of men that come after us and set some standards. Reject authority. Bang pussy. Find your happiness. Do your squats. We have a responsibility to influence other men in manifesting the best versions of themselves, and not allow them to spiral downward into a horrifying, antisocial, alienated place where killing schoolchildren becomes a reasonable thing to do.

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

One thing that is never addressed by the MSM is the role of antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs in such episodes.

How many of these spree killers were on Zoloft?

In this study (.pdf link), published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry by a well-credentialed team, about 8% of admissions to mental hospitals were due to mania or psychosis as a result of side effects from antidepressants.

The question should be asked of a matter of course: what medications was the killer on? It never, ever is.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Are you trolling me?

Easy E, are you not aware that most malls, movie theaters etc do have armed guards or some form of security? Schools however do not. That's why they make easy targets.

And even if that weren't the case I'd prefer that over people like you just deciding to limit freedoms with the flick of their wrist without so much as a second thought.

So answer my question: Would posting guards at schools make them safer?

You are not being realistic.

Most malls, movie theaters, and other public places have some form of security, but most don't have a cadre of armed guards because that is very expensive.

Same for schools since there are so many of them.

Also, what good is a rent-a-cop with pistol when some loon can just show up with an AR-15, several extra mags, a bullet proof vest, a helmet, and extra side arms?

You pro-gun people are just not realistic. It is pointless to talk to you people.

Let me guess, you believe in universal healthcare but don't believe in posting a couple cops at schools and letting private businesses pay for their own security. Yeah, it's "pro gun people" that are impossible to talk to.
It's funny because I believe in universal healthcare, I have no problem placing an armed cop in every school(many of the schools around me have them already), the only mall in this area that I frequent has armed security, and I also believe that all law-abiding citizens should feel obligated to own a firearm.

If you take a serious look I think you will find many of these mass shooters are Aspergers. It has been in the conversation for many of these (columbine, virginia tech, aurora, this one, maybe even arizona) but I think there is such a political correct force behind autism that its taboo to say.

... 52-year-old Peter Lanza had only recently moved in with his new wife, Shelley Cudiner, who works in the library at the University of Connecticut."

298k in alimony payments... so he needs to create 2 seperate upper class lifestyles in the 1%. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Exactly why you don't get married...especially when your in the asset building phase of your life.

However, as far as I can tell 95% of these mass killers are men, very "beta" men who have poor social skills, are awkward, and undoubtedly are horrible with women. Sexual frustration can be a potentially destructive force in man. We all need some form of outlet, most drown themselves in porn, but I really think prostitution should be made legal. Not that it would cure this issue by any means, but maybe if a guy like the Colorado shooter could roll down to the local brothel drop a few hundred bones to get his dick wet, he would have chilled the fuck out and not gone on such a rampage? Anyways just a thought, probably wrong, but still think prostitution should be legal.

Not sure if I agree. Prostitution is legal in Holland and we had one mass shooting also. A young guy and member of a shooting club. The issue in that case is that the guy had a history of mental illness and was still allowed the own guns and be a member of a shooting club. Lots of finger pointing between different organisations now and "loss" of crucial data.

In Holland it's allowed to have guns (up to a non automatic AK-47) too if you register them and you're a member of a shooting club. There is a gun store in my hometown too.

And they're cheap too. 300 euro's/new
http://www.hendrixvanderputten.nl/wapens...762x39/58/

Getting a license is quite hard but not impossible. Some one with a license can have a gun back at his house. Carrying a gun is illegal in Holland and the gun has to be dismantled when transported from house to shooting club. (f.e barrel, the rest of the gun and munition need to be in separate places in the car, like the trunk, under the seat etc etc .)

There are about 70000 gun licenses in Holland and only one shooting so far.

Tragic what happened. Especially considering it was innocent children. And yet again, in a couple weeks, this incident will be forgotten and life will continue as if nothing happened. When are we as a nation going to have a discussion about our culture and how it leads to these types of events.

I'm not familiar with current gun control laws as they are, however, I really think mandatory psychological screenings should be in place. You want a gun? Fine, but first you pass a professionally administered test whether you're in a stable enough mental capacity to own one. And from then on, every couple years, go back for a reassessment. If you fail, you hand over all of your weapons.

Let's focus on alimony...

Quote:Peter Lanza, a vice president of taxes for GE Energy Financial Services, declined to answer questions from reporters in front of his home in Stamford in the Westover section of the city.

Lanza has worked as tax specialist and had served as an adjunct professor at Northeastern University in Boston since 1995.

A neighbor said Peter Lanza had recently remarried.

According to court documents, Peter Lanza was required to send significant alimony payments to Nancy Lanza, including monthly payments of $10,000 a month and increasing to a minimum of $12,450 up until 2023.

The court documents list Peter Lanza's gross weekly income as $8,556 and that he was required to pay all of Adam Lanza's college and graduate school expenses.

First off..I never said there weren't any changes necessary

Anyway, just more people with no experience in southern USA with their opinions on gun laws. You don't have the slightest idea on what would happen but it wouldn't be pretty.

One of the first posts in this thread was about the largest school massacre ever in the USA and guess what? No guns were used.

Guns may make the violence easier but these nutjobs can simply go to a gas station to get what they need.

This reminds me of this video...

...about Norwegian shooter Anders Breivik.

Too long, didn't watch?

Basically, Breivik was initially to be raised with both parents, one of which was a semi-psychotic and the other was a diplomat, trusted by their country with state secrets. Guess which one was the mother and which was the father?

Spoiler Wrote:The father was the diplomat.

So guess who got custody over their son when they broke up early in his life?

Spoiler Wrote:Yup, the mother.

While there's a lot of theories as to what made Breivik act the way he did, it is accepted that he was abused by his mother when growing up. She actually refused to testify about his treatment at her hands at the court hearings following the mass shooting, citing mental health reasons. In fact, she'd checked herself into the nearest mental institute when news broke of her son's attacks - not before.

The similarities to Lanza's case are uncanny. Sure, Lanza's parents only divorced in 2009 but that means there's still 3 years for the typical single-mother negativity and pessimism about the world to permeate into his own subconscious. Furthermore, the article linked states his parents split up due to "irreconcilable differences," according to court documents. I'd bet that, prior to the official divorce, there would have been some poisoning taking place (possibly by both sides, although in my experience it would have been mainly by the mother) and so Lanza would not have been the happiest bunny by the time the divorce was finalised.

On another note, it's interesting how the Wikipedia article for Breivik states 'Breivik's usage of shooter video games has sparked debate about further censorship in violent video games.'. I can only feel that this sort of ties in to what Roosh said on the first page of this thread; it's like no one really wants to discuss the underlying issues and instead think videogames instead. Not everyone is willing to explore the psyche of the parents, but everyone knows that games go 'shooty shooty bang bang' so they're easier to blame and talk about at the water cooler.

This is how things should be, as Neil describes it. Not like going to the local candyshop and getting an automatic Riffle for free!

I predict that, sadly, it will take another 15 to 20 more mass shootings (20 to 50 victims) in order to get some people's minds go "bing!"

I'm pretty convinced that, before banning guns, videogames will be banned first. I love the US, but with any new shooting it makes a clown of itself by not taking any significant action.
