All you need is a 3G phone with hotspot mode. Shouldn't cost much more than $50 a month. You don't even need a wired internet connection. When my regular cable internet goes down that's what I do, just plug in my phone, use the phone as a wireless hotspot.

I have a US t-mobile contract with unlimited texts and calls but the internet is 500 mb's a month. I figures 500 mb should be more than enough since i'm always on the wifi.

I browse away 500 mb in a few days if I had to use my phone for all the internet stuff I do. I need wifi.

In any other city, your job matters more, even in terms of short-term flings. Terms like "investment banker, hedge fund manager, financial planner" literally mean nothing to so many women in LA.

Not true. I live in Austin, TX and you can be a pizza deliver guy here and still bang cute girls. There are probably other cities/neighborhoods (Brooklyn comes to mind) that have this culture as well, but I can't think of too many off the top of may head.

I travel between Austin and LA all the time for family business, and I would say your job matters less in Austin than in LA as far as picking up girls is concerned.

I'm paying about 900$ a month there for a room shared with 5 others. The room has its own kitchen and bathroom and is not always fully occupied.

pros - Good bed, free wifi, breakfast, regular free food and drinks (alcohol), they have free weights and a bench to work out on. lots of people around including young girls in a party mood. Right on Hollywood bld . close to nightlife/bars in Hollywood

cons - Not much privacy. I'm outgrowing the hostel scene and couldn't give a damn about partying with drunk youngsters all the time especially since i'm mostly busy anyway. I do like to hang out occasionally but not daily.

I've seen quite a few rooms/studios on Craigslist for 800 or less.

Pros - some are within walking distance of the beach. Some are quite luxurious for that kind of money. a place with full privacy to bring a girl to.

cons - No wifi, need a car to get around. Having to cook all the time, no people around. Difficulties with payment ( income and deposit demands, 1 year lease etc etc). No bed so I have to buy one. Room or studio will be empty besides the bed.

Any tips or should I just say "fuck it"and stay in a hostel?

I just looked on CL in the temporary housing section, and saw 5-6 places for ~$600, 1-2 month stays around Westwood (UCLA). The bus lines there are easy to use and cheap, so no car. If there's no mattress, go to REI and get a nice air mattress.

I can't imagine a hostel with 5 others in the room for $900/month is your best option. Especially in the summertime with all the students that go home and don't want pay for their empty apartments.

It sounds like you need to just keep looking. Easier said than done without a car, but possible.

Google "PDAnet June Fabrics" It's an app that tethers your phone to laptop for a 4G connection. I use it, and don't pay for wifi. (You'll need an unlimited monthly data plan for this)

Thanks, I guess i keep have to be looking some more this week. The upside of a hostel is that there is lots of free stuff and things are easy there. There are always people around, in a room/studio I have to go out and find people to hang with. I don't have much time for that.

Guys,

Just need some help here..

Been trying to book flats for my stay in airbnb, but people have been really slow to respond and one or two has responded, only to say that the flats are not available any more..

Is there any other way to book short term flats in LA? Airbnb seems to be the only one, but I would like to see if there is any other sites like airbnb, as people in ABB has been slow.. and I got less than 30 days before I arrive in LA..

Thanks..

Neil and Love charm-

Have you guys used padmapper.com to look for places? It trawls craigslist and other rental sites then superimposes the results on a map of the city. You can specify in the search function if you want to rent a room, sublet, take over a lease etc. If you're using airbnb make sure you have a clear user picture where you're dressed well. I'm wearing a suit in mine and never get a request turned down. It also helps to target the people that reply in a few hours/days. If you're staying for a longer period of time you can often negotiate a weekly or monthly rate.

Any Westsiiiders in the house?

I beast mode Santa Monica during the day. After 1 year of committing to this stomping ground, I've made more than my fair share of mistakes, triumphs, and everything in between. Would love to meet red pill bros who know what's up. Happy to show you around.

Occasionally I'll do Bungalows, but it's one of the most difficult and competitive white nighttime venues in the world. And I'm white. The guys all have looks, money, and game. The women there usually have great careers, families, and more going for them in addition to stunning looks and tight outfits. The problem is they know it.

Daygame is still my first love, bread & butter.

So, I've been home from SoCal for about 2 weeks. I have been thinking a lot about this.

I went down there basically as a tourist, visiting friends and family.

I saw a lot of good looking girls. From every different demographic.

I know they are all getting banged by someone.

As a man, all I want is an opportunity. A huge population with thousands of girls, of all ages, all races, all backgrounds. This is opportunity. The girls are there. The problem is mostly access and logistics. As well, as proper strategy and game plan.

Now that I'm home and I've had a chance to reflect. I have changed my mind a little...

I'm a positive guy, I look for solutions instead of problems, I don't let negativity over take my mind, I control my attitude and effort.

But, for the average guy, I must admit -- LA sucks.

A few neighborhoods are manageable, but if you have to get on the freeway and drive an hour to have a good sex life, you are fucked.

This is a reality in LA. The freeways. They are soul sucking.

I admit, I wouldn't want to live there.

Girls are easier in other parts of the country.

LA is just too much bullshit. Life is not simple. It can drive a man mad.

"No sun will shine in my day today
(No sun will shine.)
The high yellow moon won't come out to play
(Won't come out to play.)
Darkness has covered my light (and has changed,)
And has changed my day into night
Now where is this love to be found, won't someone tell me?
'Cause life, sweet life, must be somewhere to be found, yeah
Instead of a concrete jungle where the livin' is hardest
Concrete jungle, oh man, you've got to do your best, yeah.

No chains around my feet, but I'm not free
I know I am bound here in captivity
And I've never known happiness, and I've never known sweet caresses
Still, I be always laughing like a clown
Won't someone help me?
Cause, sweet life, I've, I've got to pick myself from off the ground, yeah
In this here concrete jungle,
I say, what do you got for me now?
Concrete jungle, oh, why won't you let me be now?

I said life must be somewhere to be found, yeah
Instead of a concrete jungle, illusion, confusion
Concrete jungle, yeah
Concrete jungle, you name it, we got it, concrete jungle now

Concrete jungle, what do you got for me now?"

^^^ Thanks for your honesty on the matter. I can respect a man that is willing to change his mind. I'm formulating my escape plan. Except for a short period in high school I've been here my whole life and I rarely feel all that happy being here anymore. I like California overall though and there are certain neighborhoods in L.A. I think are cool, but the city as a whole, I get no more joy from it or the people here. I need to leave.

It will probably take a while before I get used to these kind of venues and attitudes. I will have to find a way to break through this highly superficial barrier or I'll have to tap in to my niche market through couchsurfing.

My game was weak last night. I'll be the first to admit it. I haven't been gaming much the last 6 months since I had a nice bubble butt GF back home and was too busy with writing the screenplay.

I'll write up a meet up report later today in the meet up thread.

With the results Neil has gotten in the world, on a budget, with low effort, I don't see a lot of good coming even if you succeed in banging a couple American girls. Maybe the blowjob you get will be more skilled, but there is no other benefit. I say save your money and work on your writing instead.

A ride should be good, no need to get out of the car if it doesn't look safe Smile I'm not easily scared but if the stories are true I'd rather stay alive.

If you go, check out Bludso's BBQ. Epic rib tips. The one near Hancock Park doesn't come close.

I wouldn't go down there wearing any obvious blue or red Confused, and I probably wouldn't go past 8pm, but I've been there (outside my car) during the day and it was fine.

Neil, if you need a "hood" experience, take the metro red line to downtown. At the metro center station transfer to the blue line. Take that all the way to the LBC. I guarantee you'll get your hood experience. I highly recommend doing this during daylight hours. Do NOT take the blue line at night. You can also check out the Watts Towers, a famous landmark that's an icon of South Central. You've probably seen it in the background of every gangsta rap video from the 90s. The train stops like two blocks from there.

I'd say go to a black club night in Hollywood. Its an interesting experience, I've been..some place like Dragonfly may do something like that. You actually might do well since you stand out so much. I don't think you'll have a problem with people in there really like you would on going into the hood.

Hey like I said, I'm down to grab a couple burgers in Compton during the day. Probably the worst neighborhood in L.A. is still South-Central and anywhere south of there. I can't remember which neighborhood it was, but I went to a jazz festival down there a couple years ago. Once I got to the event it was fine, but the surrounding neighborhood was seriously sketchy even during the day. I wouldn't even drive there at night. A lot of the crime is carjacking.

South-Central is not so bad during the day. The murder rate has come way down in LA since the 1990s. Back then, it was a war zone and I would have advised people not to go there, but today...shit, it ain't so bad. Just make sure if you go there that you park your car in a visible area close by where you are going. There is still a significant amount of property crime and break-ins in that area.

We briefly mentioned this further up when Neil was talking about coming to town. There's a ton of local dudes I've yet to meet who seem cool in here.

I'm up for it.

Book - Around the World in 80 Girls - The Epic 3 Year Trip of a Backpacking Casanova

My new book Famles - Fables and Fairytales for Men is out now on Amazon.

If Neil goes to a Black club, the sistas will love him.

I have gone to all Black clubs and been the only white/latin guy there. It's a lot of fun. If you can carry yourself with confidence, The girls will dance up on you and show you a great time.

The key is, you gotta dance. I just hit the dance floor and let loose. You gotta have fun. People will respect you if you dance and have a good time. I never had any problems. I am always respectful.

The chances Neil bangs a chocolate honey: Very High

They love White guys and they are not shy about it.

I have also day gamed at an all black college in Atlanta but that is a story for another day.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I'd be 100% down for a meet up. A couple of solid pals of mine moved last month. My remaining wings are super weak.
