Is there any telltale for when you've generated enough interest so that you can go for number close, other than she asking you questions or touching her hair etc? I know you can always go for the number but I feel I sell myself short if I go for it prematurely, based on past experience.

This morning I went to a cafe and sat at a table with a girl because it was crowded. She was a 5. She left and then a better looking one took her place. You're right. Rejections from mediocre girls have gone under my skin. So I like the girl to exhibit some interest first; I want the close to be an offer rather than a request.
There is also the "bimbo problem" i.e. knowing that I wouldn't even talk to 95% of these girls if it wasn't for biology.

You generally want to have a conversation that lasts over 7 minutes and the longer the better. Questions you should be asking yourself:

1. Am I building a narrative with this girl? Are we developing a romantic moment that she can happily tell her friends?
2. Am I giving information that shows I am grounded (a real person) and not just a PUA clown? This is telling some stuff about yourself so you are perceived as a normal person, someone who she can have a relationship with.
3. Am I flirting and spiking her emotions periodically where it is not a platonic conversation? Some chit chat is ok but it needs to be clear this is a man and woman interaction.

You do all these things to increase the odds she won't flake on you. Many women will give you their number but your goal is to avoid flaking and you can best do this by developing a stronger connection and memorable experience.

You can also experiment with asking for the number and continuing to talk to her. This has the benefit of not making it about the number and more about the conversation. At the end of the goal, the goal is getting the connection not the number.

Went to the same cafe and the same girl was sitting at the same table. Of course I went and sat there. Made the mistake of asking "Do you mind if I sit here?!". We bantered a tiny bit and then down to our own businesses. Some of her classmates were sitting nearby studying for an exam. I was planning on going for the close when either one of us was leaving.
Since we had not talked to her much and was basically (in the words of other girls I had opened) a "stranger", I decided to bait her by telling her I was leaving town next year and chat a little on that (making her asking me questions) and then go for a direct close like this:

Taking advantage of a rare day home, I tackled painting my home office this morning. A neighbor, who gets to work remote for her job was home. I see her in passing but never had a chance to game her. First thing first - that was a Shit-Test. Suggest that you would have continue along and being playful:

As long as she is not asking you to leave, or leaving herself - it's still on.

This brings me to the second thing:
You should approach girls that turn you on (boner test). I recall an advise - visualize yourself banging her. This may help to feel the attraction.

Do you feel anxious? Only you know.
Keep approaching with the intent to get the number. Most of the time we don't get it. Once you do (and you will) it will be a feeling of accomplishment.

I went to a "lecture-workshop" about relating to people (semi-marketing) with one of my LTRs.

Did some dance floor game last night.

I'm not massive on approaches in out in public, but I couldn't help stop and make an approach on two chick this evening while around Piccadilly/bottom of regents street .

Opening ones or twos have never been an issue for me. What usually lets me down, when approaching more twos or more, is that my wings lack the enthusiasm or necessary chat. They'll lose their battle then the plus 1 will try and distract my one.

Any, saw two blondes huddles over a mobile phone, looked like thy were trying to figure out directions. I interjected with, "let me guess, you're to lost Swedes in London". The first:

Recent approaches who got me laid:

- The burger approach
At a bar serving burgers, i sit not far from cutie, and just start eating my burger intensely while looking at her. Mayo and ketchup dripping everywhere, and im unapologetic. So I have a beer in a bar, and I walk up to these 2 cuties with my beer holding up to my chest level like a total chode, I blurt out a shy "hi girls" and then storm away, but not far, just a few meters. The girls laugh and then get approached by some jocks but they keep looking at my direction until they finally come to me by themselves to open convo.

-The girlfriend approach
I should charge fckin bitcoin for that one. RVF exclusive. Best used in a spot in the bar / club where there is high traffic.
