RE: Avoiding False Rape Accusations
I was accused of rape back in February.
I had met a girl off a contact thread on 4chan (should have been a red flag right there).
She contacted me on skype and we hit it off fairly quick. Turned out we lived 20 minutes apart and decided to meet up that weekend.
I meet her at a park and we bullshit for a little bit, but I knew she was really there to hook up. So I made my move some 15 minutes after meeting her. After a few hours of hanging out in the woods and messing around (kissing and playing with her tits) we decide to go to her house. We watched some movies and ended the night with me eating her out and getting a blowjob.
We continue to talk on skype just about everyday (red flag number 2) and decide to hang out the next Friday. This time I cavemaned it and stuck it in raw. Turned out she was on her period, so we stopped because she was uncomfortable. I cleaned up and she finished me off in her mouth (she swallows). After that I hang out with her for 5 hours watching TV and movies until she goes out to meet up with a friend.
She contacts me later that night. I ask her if she had a good time and she said yes. We talk for maybe a half hour and she goes to bed. The next morning I contact her. She goes to take a shower and when she comes back she says "You know you raped me right?"
At first I play it off as a joke, I did meet her off of 4chan afterall, and during previous conversations she was asking me if I would choke her during sex. After she says "If I told my father, he would kill you" I knew she wasn't joking and I stop talking to her and save our entire internet correspondence. She told me not to worry because she wasn't going to tell anybody, but I knew better.
Two days later I get a phone call from her. I don't know why I picked up the phone, but I did. She says "Why did you rape me? You know I didn't want to have sex until after I got on birth control. You heard me say NO. I want you to apologize." I went into POW mode and said "If this is why you called me I'm hanging up". I didn't know if she was recording or not. She said "Fine, bye".
The next morning I have a detective from her town and a detective from the county knocking on my door. "We have a little matter we'd like to discuss with you. Mind coming down with us?"
I gave them some bullshit about having to run some errands for my family before coming down and agree to meet them in a few hours. I'm shitting bricks at this point. What the fuck am I going to do? I didn't rape her, but it's a he said/she said story and I could certainly be arrested.
I go down to meet the detectives at the County Prosecutor's office. The County detective meets me and she starts making small talk with me. She's trying to get me comfortable with talking to her so I'll be more likely to talk when they put the heat on. We get into the interrogation room and the town detective is there and he's got his arms crossed and a scowl on his face. As far as he's concerned, I'm guilty. The female detective is leading the questioning and it's mostly small talk. I notice that she has her shirt unbuttoned and her bra is hanging out. She was quite attractive and I wonder if it was a ploy to see if my sexual deviance would show.
After about 5 minutes of nothing, she puts my Miranda Rights in front of me.
Miranda Rights
After reading and hearing your rights do you understand them? Yes
After reading and hearing your rights do you wish to continue the conversation? No
"NO? Well, since you asked for a lawyer, we legally can't continue this conversation (trying to make me feel bad)"
"Please wait here a minute."
They leave the room and come back a moment later. I ask if I'm free to go, and I am. I never contacted a lawyer because I can't afford one. I haven't heard from them since. The funny part is, the cops never told me why they wanted to question me, and I never asked because I already knew.
My mistake was talking with her too much. I built a comfort level with her that was in contrast to who I actually am.

Thing is though, if you're under investigation without knowing it (and all they have to go on is a phone number), then surely the authorities can track it.
Tip for the fellas that I already use - never use your real name with chicks. I've been a lot of names over the years, mostly so if I knock some broad up, she'll have a harder time tracking me for child support.

RE: Avoiding False Rape Accusations
This is some scary shit. Regarding the prevention methods being discussed; I'm sure they are better than nothing, but consider:
- If you have a hidden camera in your bedroom and then need to use it as evidence, there will be some strong "you're a pervert" vibes coming from the police, prosecutor and jury, should it get that far..
- Any morning after confirmation texts will probably be worth the weight of the paper they're printed on. She would easily say "I was scared and so confused so I just pretended it didn't happen"
- A false name is great if you intend it to be a one night stand and never take her to your place or text her (at all). But if you were caught and shit went down, you'd have some pretty serious splanin' to do to the jury... If I were using a fake name, it would be my middle name, for plausible deniability.
If I were trying to protect myself, and I may just do this when I get my own apartment, I would have an overt video surveillance system with a camera in every room of my place. She would ask about it, or I would point it out to her when bringing her home. I would explain that I had a break in last year and the insurance company suggested I install a security system. There would be a camera in the bedroom, somewhat covert as not to draw attention, but not "hidden". I bet you would only lose 1/20 lays for this due to "creepiness". A price worth paying I'd say.
I think this would make any bitch seriously think twice about going to the cops.

re: phone--if you paid in cash what would they trace it to? the only thing I can think of is if they can deduce the serial number of the phone from the phone number, they'd have to figure out vendor, where it might have been sold, go to the store, look through the cash register sales and find the serial, then try to match the time of sale with the camera feed in the store. I could see them doing that for a murder or something really bad but a woman complaining with no obvious injuries? Wear sunglasses and a baseball cap when you buy the phone? .Also they could tell where you use the phone from tower triangulation so you shouldn't use it at home or work or where people could look at a composite drawing and ID you. Pretty hairy.

These are my impressions as to what happened here. I see a drastic difference between the way you are describing this girl's behavior one day after the sex and two days after the sex. My guess is she has some serious psychological and/or substance abuse issues and she is not considered to be credible in her community. You stated that a municipal detective was involved in this. You probably know very well that if you live in New Jersey, many, many people within the city, borough, township, or town in which you live will know you and will know your reputation very well. My guess is that this girl has a bit of a negative reputation in her hometown and that the municipal police realized that and upon seeing how you conducted yourself, they realized that her claims were false and decided not to pursue you. It is interesting, however that the male detective, who was the municipal detective and who would have been more likely to have known this girl, was the one who appears to have had it in for you more than the female detective.
Getting you to voluntarily go to the County Prosecutor's Office is a tactic which is sometimes used. Since you weren't under arrest and since you went there voluntarily, they could possibly ask you questions without Mirandizing you and may be able to get away with it. Some people may tell you that it was a mistake for you to go there voluntarily. I actually do not believe that it was a mistake. By showing your face there, you avoided any suspicion that you were being evasive. You answered some questions, which from what you are writing were merely small talk and did not answer any questions which could possibly incriminate you. I think overall you handled the situation very well.

Most false rape cases end up in court because the man voluntarily talks. It's human nature for people to try and talk their way out of trouble, and the pigs know this and use it against you. Like I said, this wasn't my first rodeo.
One of the first things I ever do when analyzing a criminal case is look at the time between when the incident occurred and when it is reported. In my opinion, it always looks bad if a person waits days, weeks, or months to report an incident and/or file charges. I always bring that up on cross examination if the case goes to trial. There is some obscure theory that sex crimes are often not immediately reported for a variety or reasons, but I don't really see the distinction, nor do many judges.
Many cases, not just false rape cases, end up in court because the accused person talks. They were just seeing if you were stupid enough to say the wrong thing. You obviously weren't.
