Strange subject. It reminds me about pandas that aren't really pandas if you look closer. Same kind of buyer's remorse I guess if you find out that you got a tranny home as if you bring a panda home and find out that it's actually a dog.

Off topic, but I stayed one night in Best Western Oxford Suites Burgos street. I was arriving late and just needed a place to bury my head for a night. I wandered out to get something to drink. Ended up in a Mini-Stop when two of the hottest girls (maybe 19 years old) walked in from a bar across the road (Bottoms? I don't remember). I mumbled something out thinking they might have finished work and could be shored. Not the case they had to go back to the bar, no doubt to milk some Korean guy flashing the cash. I'm going back to my hotel room after about an hour of wandering (point5). I'm about to take the elevator up to my room and group of people are making their way to the elevator. Being the polite young man Wink, I hold the lift door open. Three girls walk in with a 50+ year old Korean man in tail. Deja vue... two of the girls are the ones from Mini Stop! The old Korean man greets me warmly. I freeze. I can't help thinking the greedy bastard. The two girls giggle. I smile at him and "wish him a good evening". I get back to my room. I realise it was an opportunity missed!

Obviously, this guy paid for his trio, which I'm not prepared to do, but it got me thinking is shoring possible at any night venues in Manila (La Cafe,Havana on Burgos Streets? Next time in Manila, I think I will enjoy the challenge and thrill of shoring!

I don't know if the dog needs to be white, but yeah, some grooming and paint seems to do the trick.

Here's more info with a video of one as well.

Perhaps a black dog is even better because then they probably won't have to use paint close to the eyes.

Thanks for this sobering reminder. Although I'm not at all interested in chicks who's job is greasing dicks, I think I read most of the hottest girls in Manila are Pros/Semi-Pros. Is this true?

David Lee Roth sang about shoring in my favorite VH song. It's my favorite because I think it's Eddie's best work.

The more I think about it, the importance of not paying is for it to be real. Dave sang, "Guess that woman fall in love, she don't work for free". I imagine it could be quite a boost to ones ego if they are able to shore a pro who in a very real way is not available to anyone, because everyone has to pay.

Depends where you are. Greenbelt, P. Burgos, anywhere that foreigners go has plenty of P4P girls around. Semi-pro, freelancer...whatever you want to call them, they are there.

LA Cafe and Havana are probably the two most notorious P4P bars.

That doesn't mean that all of the girls are P4P.

This issue seems to rile some people up around here. I don't know why some choose not to accept the reality that just about every bar in the high tourist area is mixed with P4P / semi pro / freelance / "normal" girls.

You'll never know. Maybe you can "shore" a girl that is P4P at other times. Maybe your looks, clothes and game can get you a discount or a freebie.

It's just common sense. Girls that hang out where foreigners go are there for one or two reasons. She was there before you came, she'll probably be there after you are gone. Maybe she'll ask for money, maybe she won't.

If you are around for a while you'll see the same girls out all the time. It doesn't take long to figure out what is what.

No, it doesn't.

Last time you stated that no woman in the Philippines dates a white guy for anything other than money.

You're also a game denialist and now blatantly advocating p4p on this last page of the thread, both of which are against the forum's rules.

All this despite the fact that you've admitted to not gaming a SINGLE girl in the country because you're there with your girlfriend.

These are the things that "rile some people up around here". You've gone down the entire troll checklist.

That's why -- though I have no idea whether your last statement is true or not -- people don't take the things you say seriously.

I try to give everyone who posts the benefit of the doubt although I'm starting to think it's because I'm very new here and have never travelled abroad solo, in other words, I'm naive.

jackleballs, reading through your previous posts you do seem to be very slanted against there being "more" than a possiblitly a filipina would be genuinely attracted to a foreign man for any reason other than money.

Although I've never been to the Phils, I do know a little bit about human nature. One aspect, is that everyone is in love with the exotic (i.e. not themselves). For example, Americans put a higher value on anything that's not American. From cuisine, to perfume, to leather, to automobiles, to off-shore workers. I can only imagine other countries must also view America as exotic too. Not because it's better, but because it's not themselves.

The exotic aside, other traits like being financially sound, physically fit, dressing well, educated, interesting, engaging, thought-provoking, caring and having an overall good personality is in and of itself attractive. For a woman of good character, these things really do transcend ethnicity/nationality and she will be genuinely attracted to that kind of man.

Billy Gibbons summed it up in this song, and the video shows the transformation of a guy with little game (parking cars), to a true player. In the video, I think the magic "keys" to his new vehicle in life is a symbol for "game".

Waiting in the long line today at the JC Penny (buying luggage) there was a Filipina working behind one of the registers. She had a way about her that was so graceful, calm, and genuinely friendly. She was probably a 5-6, but her aura made her a solid 8. And she had really great legs. Smile

I'll be arriving in Manila 2 weeks from now, and I'm very eager to see what the Philippines are like. Might have to bail on Manila early and go more rural if I don't see that kind of sweetness.

I believe game can work. I don't know why it says that I'm a denialist.

Yes, I do have a girlfriend, yes she is from the Philippines, and yes I did spend the majority of my time with her.

I still went out, I still met girls. It's hard not to in the Philippines.

I'm not a troll. I've been to the Philippines numerous times. I own a condo in Makati. I'm not pretending to be an expert on the Philippines, it's a constant learning experience.

Are the bars at Greenbelt not full of P4P girls? Am I making that up? Is every bar in Boracay for example, not full of P4P girls?

I have never advocated P4P, however, if you are going to try to score a freebie from a hooker, I'll feel free to insert my opinion on that.

I've said over and over that good girls exist and it is possible to find one, but at the same time if you are frequenting places like LA Cafe, Havana, Time, Palladium, etc... what exactly are you expecting?

Anyway, I don't care much if you don't take my posts seriously.

You're a foreigner. Period.

The girls here aren't with you because of your style or your game or your refusal to spend money on them. They're chasing the dream, or they're looking for cash / support.

You don't believe that game or style have any effect on your results or how people view you, but you're not a game denialist.

Quote:I'm not a troll. I've been to the Philippines numerous times. I own a condo in Makati. I'm not pretending to be an expert on the Philippines, it's a constant learning experience.

You're not trying to be an expert, yet you have claimed that Filipinos don't care about anything other than the fact that you're white and have money. In a few trips, you managed to deduce an entire people and culture into one single, damning statement.

On another note, you were posting just a month ago asking about not getting a deposit back from a condo rental, now you own a condo?

And I'm not implying that you're making that up, but have you ever considered sharing your experiences since people were just asking about buying property here a couple weeks ago?

I'm sure most of us would find your experiences as a property owner helpful. It'd be a lot more useful than your thoughts on banging girls who you've never even banged.

Quote:Are the bars at Greenbelt not full of P4P girls? Am I making that up? Is every bar in Boracay for example, not full of P4P girls?

I specifically said that I don't know. I don't have experience there, and I don't pretend to have knowledge of things I've never done.

I'm not doubting it, but I'm not going to take your word for it as you've done nothing more than people watch and chit chat.

No, what that meant was that the guys that fool themselves into thinking they are "gaming" girls in the geographical equivalent to fishing with dynamite are maybe delusional?

You don't need game in the Philippines.

If you show up in a club wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and you're an obvious foreigner, you will probably still get in whereas a local guy wouldn't.

Maybe 2 or 3 girls will shoot down a guy dressed like that, but 8 or 9 won't.

"Shoring" is sex with a prostitute for free. If you or anyone else needs to feel validated by not paying a working girl...go nuts.

That's a bigtime loser move.

Like seriously...what kind of moron goes to Havana or LA Cafe, wastes a working girl's time all night, then decides he is above paying her.

Sorry babe, I know I'm in a hooker bar, most likely talking to a hooker all night, but I don't pay girls.

Cool story bro.

I did get my deposit back, and I actually did write a pretty long post about real estate, and my condo isn't ready, so I rent when I am there.

But that's the point... I don't frequent these places. From this list I have been to Time, but plenty of normal girls go there. I was merely curious whether shoring was possible in these places.

Quote:The girls here aren't with you because of your style or your game or your refusal to spend money on them. They're chasing the dream, or they're looking for cash / support.

From my experience, there are plenty of girls I have met, who have far more money than I do. One exclusively took Uber everywhere. It hasn't got anything to do with money. I've met girls who attend top universities such as De La Salle, which cost around 150,000php a year. A drop in the ocean compared to many Western universities, but to be able to afford to send your kid here in PI, you have to be firmly middle/upper class. This is why I love being a younger guy (less than 25) in the Philippines, P4P is never really an issue.

It seems to be older, out of shape and beta guys, who come to the bitter conclusion that it's all to do with money. When in reality for a younger guy with good game, it's the fact that Filipinas regard you as exotic.

We're delusional, yet you continually post about gaming girls that you've never gamed tard

Anyone who has been in SEA for more than a month knows that the girls throwing themselves at white guys in cargo shorts and flip flops at the club are not particularly attractive or quality.

That's not to say I've never worn shorts or fucked groupies.

But none of those dork ass white guys you're living vicariously through are pulling quantity (without paying) or quality. Anyone who's been around them for 5 minutes can tell you that. Half of them still act like thirsty white knights.

That's not what most guys on this forum aspire to. They want to bang many girls or high quality girls, preferably both. Also, they already have a little game, dress well, exercise, etc. These are parts of their character, not some show they put on "to be something they're not".

If you're white and open your wallet to the first 6 that says 'hi', sure you'll "get laid". But you're not going to be fucking a LOT of girls or HOT girls.

Also, many of the locals will think you're a douche. I'd wager that those guys are probably bigger targets for various cons as well.

It seems that part of the reason that guys in this thread are frustrated with your postings, Jackleballs, is because you are all over the place.

Several post point out your varying inconsistencies, and ask you various questions, including Enigma's above, and you either fail to respond to many of the questions or you create additional inconsistencies and/or attacks on guys and attacks on game.... and even many misrepresentations of both.

Probably it would be good for you to respond to these various questions directed towards you and then also to maybe get in touch with various aspects of RVF culture... or possibly practice posting in the newbie section so you can learn how to NOT continue to engage in what appears to be gratuitous insulting.

It seems very unclear why you are a member here. Do you want to improve your game, learn some things from other members or just attack various values that many RVFers seem to share (and you seem to have various problems with some of these shared RVF values, or to give you some benefit of the doubt, maybe you do NOT understand some of them)?

From your previous posts stating that you won't go to a club with a "no sandal" policy, you should smarten yourself up, if you don't want to attract low-end girls. I saw no-one poorly dressed in for example Gramercy 71 and Fort Clubs/Bars. Go to these places in your sandals and start flashing the cash, I don't think you will get very far.

It tends to be the guys that are older, out of shape, badly dressed with no game and no willingness to go out and have fun in non p4p nightclubs, who tend to whine Philippines all about P4P.

Renting a car in Manila.

I have been wanting to check out Baguio for sometime now. The idea of cooler temperatures, mountains, and nature sounded like just what I needed.

I decided that renting a car seemed like the best idea. The only other option to Baguio is by bus.

Researching car rentals in Manila is not an easy task like in the US or EU. Obviously not a lot of foreigners are driving around in the Philippines. There are some local rental companies but I wanted to stick with the big American companies thinking if anything went wrong I might have a better recourse of action.

A good starting place for your research is CarRentals.com which brings up Avis, Hertz, and Budget. Other companies that have rentals in Manila are National and Europcar. When I was looking Avis consistently had the best prices.

I went directly to the Avis.com website and reserved a car. I decided to pay extra and get a full size car which was a Toyota Camry. Here is how the cost broke down...

Rental for 4 days.
3,313.40 php per day = 13,253.60

Collision Damage Insurance
300 php per day = 1,200

Tax = 433.61

Total bill = 14,887.21

They also require an extra deposit amount that they add to your initial bill and then refund your card after you return.

Deposit = 5,954.88

Total my card is charged initially = 20,842.09 php

I would have not paid for the collision damage insurance as my American Express card covers car rental insurance. However me being a dumb ass I did not realize my card had expired last month. Damn. I had to use my Visa debit card so I added the insurance.

Picking up the car is a bit of a pain in the ass as you have to go pick it up and Terminal 1 of the Manila airport. And what a shit hole of an airport that place is, rated as the worst major international airport in the world.

You have to go outside the main terminal to a building that has all the car rental kiosk in one place. From there they get all your details and then have some one pick you up and take you to the parking lot where they keep all the cars. You will proceed into the Avis office which is a shitty trailer.

The process is a bit time consuming and be prepared to fill out a lot of paper work. The whole process took about 45 minutes. After all was said and done I was driving out of the parking lot in a really nice Toyota Camry and feeling pretty good about it.

An advantage to using the rental companies at the airport is they are open 24/7. I purposely picked up the car at 11pm so that traffic would not be terrible.

I was honestly a bit nervous about returning the car. I didn't know if they were going to be dicks about it and try to keep my deposit or find things wrong with the car. But it really could not have gone smoother. I returned the car, they looked it over, filled some more paper work, and they gave me a receipt giving me back my deposit. In total I was out of there in under 30 minutes.

While no where near the seamless process you find renting a car in the US it was still good enough. I was overall pleased with using Avis and will be using them again on my next road trip.

Coding*
Some cities have "Coding" laws. Basically each car depending on the last # on your license plate is not allowed to drive 1 day per weekday from 7am to 7pm. You need to be aware of this. Here is more info...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Veh...on_Program

When you rent a car you need to know which day your car is "coding". Avis was very clear in explaining this to me. Because I was only renting for 4 days Wednesday to Sunday they gave me a car that was coding on Tuesday so it was not a problem.

There is also a few places you are not allowed to take the rental car such as Bicol, Banaue, and Atimonan. You are also not allowed to take it off the island of Luzon to other islands.

FYI:
When talking with the guy at Avis he said be sure to always book online as renting directly at the Avis office in Manila is much more expensive.

How did you find driving in MNL? It made the list one of the worst cities in the world to drive in.

500 bucks for 4 days is kinda pricey. I wouldn't be surprised if you could have hired a driver and a car for 4 days for about 200-250 bucks...
