True. But just looking at the women who have matched I see a trend. His look mainly appeals to your typical middle-America white ex-sorority girl. That's his key market. He's also getting interest from some black girls too. And the typical Asian girls that like white guys(though not in large numbers in my city). What I've noticed is he's gotten pretty much no replies from what I would call "artsy" or any hipster girls. To them, he'd look like a jock or a douche and guys like him aren't what hipster girls go for. I'd love to run another test of an hipster/indie rocker white guy who's good looking and see the results of that too. Maybe a dude that looks like Ray La Montagne:


Another reason is the age range is set 18-55+ so some of the chics might have felt he was either too old or too young for them. I should've changed from 18-35. I forgot to do that. And then I'm sure some were intimidated or thought he was a player.

When the results of my first test wind down. I'll tally the final count, match ratio, number of messages initiated by women, and the average look and age of the matches on a 1-10 scale. And importantly what percentage of the matches were attractive as in 6s or above. As well as race of the respondents.

When I'm done with this, I'm going to test a good looking black guy in the same market and do a comparison.

Man this shit is so intriguing to me.

My scale is like this when I'm talking women anyway: 5 is average, neither good looking or bad looking. 6 is cute, 7 is very cute, 8 would be considered hot, but not hot enough to be a model. 9 is when you're hot enough to make a living modeling. 10 would be a supermodel, someone of Adrianna Lima's status. Guys with lots of options (no matter their source, which is in this case looks) are always assumed to be players. Either because it's A) in their character - these are the classic "dark triad" alphas who a priori refuse any sort of commitment - or because B) it's not in their character but they can't resist the endless options and end up dipping in the pool sooner or later.

Either way, among guys with such a huge amount of options, it's superbly rare to find a non-player. Think Jack LaLanne, who was a fitness idol and TV celebrity for decades but still fairly traditional.

I have a nice toned body and was debating putting up such a pic. There are [strike]two[/strike] three concerns, however:

A) Wouldn't I be significantly better off with a "natural" photo instead of a bedroom mirror shot? The thing is, I don't have such a photo.
B) Tinder draws pictures from your Facebook profile. If I upload that pic on Facebook into an album whose visibility is set to "only me" and then use it on Tinder, will the album stay that way? What if I upload it on Facebook, use it on Tinder and then delete it from Facebook?
C) Isn't it quite pointless, given how little female profiles (less than 100) there are in my city? With such a tiny sample size, I won't be able to measure the results with any certainty, and any gains will be tiny (like getting 4 total matches instead of 2).

a) A natural shirtless pic certainly would be better. Neither have I such a picture.
b) Create a fake facebook profile for tinder, has several other benefits.
c) Doubling your matches is good. But I think if they match you with the shirtless pic, they show that they would fuck you. The conversion rate is probably higher. If they wanna bang, they gonna bang. look at speakeasy's thirsty female responses.

It seems like one of these catch 22 - like situations. Damned if you do and damned if you dont. You may or may NOT ever know; however, funny thing could be that a girl like that is going to keep playing with you.. and in that regard, you may get some kind of hint with a girl in real life that will cause you to suspect that you have found the girl.

On the other hand, maybe it is someone like Speakeasy doing an experiment, and you just happen to be in the target group?
