The absolute best thing about NYC to me (los angeles transplant) is the logistics here!

Few places allows you access to such a high number of decent women with amazing logistics and that is worth its weight.

This thread is pure comedy. I'd love to visit NY but I am still fixated on foreign countries. Thanks for the funny "snow" GIFs and constant shit-talk.

Heard.

Much of the travel talk on the forum is about traveling through a remote work arrangement or traveling with savings though.

You don't see nearly as many threads discussing where to get a job and set up shop.

So if someone's income is location independent or they're trying to stretch their money the furthest, I don't think NYC is going to provide the best return on investment.

would have to disagree, for a few simple facts alone; 1. you are going to make more money here and 2. there is more opportunity here.

NYC is the land of opportunity. There are simply, more jobs, more chances, more career choices, more access to cheap/free education, just more opportunity in every way.

Its not my dream, and I will be out of here when I am 45, but for now, I can earn more money here in my business than I can pretty much anywhere in the world. I pretty much came here with nothing, and a shitty degree on top of that. Had no connections, alumni, or anything, just drive and desire. I see young guys come here all the time the same way and kill it.

Someone working remotely gets paid more in NYC? So if I tell a client in Chicago that I moved from Charleston to NYC they'll up my wages?

I think you misread the post that you quoted. I specifically said people who are location independent or living off savings. That has nothing to do with opportunity in NYC.

This is also a big city versus suburbia debate, spacious places actually suck. Bad logistics and low quantity.

Yeah, it's a lifestyle and philosophy debate.

It happens on all the Las Vegas, NYC and Miami Beach threads.

The funny thing is it doesn't ever go the other way.

It is not like the Soho guys go or the Iasi, Romania threads and go on guns blazing.

Or the Miami Beach guys go on the Chaing Mai threads in full attack mode.

It is like you have a pass to attack expensive places, but attacking cheap places is taboo.

You can only talk about saving money, not making more money.

But this in nothing new.

I remember this happening when I was a kid traveling as well.

This was a great point you made:

Needless to say this is how everyone thinks, so as we all know, everyone is always wrong.

Look at the threads started here: cost of living!, budget cities!

ZERO threads on highest INCOME cities by profession.

I don't care about the cost show me the money and I'll find a way to dial down the cost.

L.A. logistics wise is a bitch. My friend lives in Irvine and when i visited him, we had to travel a good while to even get to the high end places in LA. When i visited NYC, everything can be done by bus, train or cab. One thing i do have to say is that the logistic lay out amazed when i found out the girls' logistics, in that most people either live in the city or staying in it, course there is also people who live in Jersey.

Well this was a successful talk guys, unfortunately people thought I was taking notes in the meeting this whole time so now I'm fucked for the day. Ha.

Don't say I didn't try to help you guys out here NYC is a god damned gold mine.

Lol man I will go to Tampa then, also great comp using "one guy".

That's when you know the city is broke. "This one time I met a well off dude..."

Banks asking him for a loan I don't even know where to begin on how financially ridiculous thy statement is. You mean investment. Lol.

Tampa is full of rich people, but they don't show it like on the West Coast or up North. Its a total different mentality down there.

Tampa and NYC are not comparable except to the extent that they are both cities on the East Coast (more or less). This is pure life style choice, so this debate will never end because there is no right answer.

However, in February, I think I'd rather be in Tampa. NYC is a bitch come the winter...winds between buildings can be hellacious.

I had one of his hulls. Very smooth. I gave it to one of my best friends and he's almost done restoring it.

Tampa may not have the high end job market but there are more opportunities than NYC. The city is full of rich Yanks that made their fortunes up North. They appreciate a solid work ethic and will invest in you when you prove yourself. Most of the local dudes are retarded and only want to work enough to buy stuff to sniff off a mirror, then disappears for days. New Yorkers are used to hustling and come down and kill it.

Go to Tampa, work a job to get by, make contacts, start a biz.

The ingredients that makes a successful NYC thread:
  • Random new guy thread starter that barely show after the first post.
  • Westcoast starting out strong and gradually becoming more and more unintelligible.
  • El Mech and Ali hailing the virtues of Tampa.
  • G laying down the law on how you need a good bankroll.
  • New York members staying real quiet and coy as if they know something others don't
  • Me dreaming about the free time to go there to smash the poon of librul, gym-addicted career women.

My top 3 US picks are NYC, El Paso, Tampa. The first two I wouldn't stay in for more than a year probably, but Tampa is a long term destination. Ya'll can keep LA, NoLo, and Miami.

I did show at the start until the debating of NYC and Tampa started and then it rolled from there.

Miami I keep hearing a lot of amazing things too but i have yet to try it.
