If you're a young professional dude in your 20s and gaming girls girls is your modus operandi, I'm thinking that living in a Podunk town with a big college campus is bank, and better than living in a big city.

1. Quantity & Quality. Ratios are in your favour - every college campus has a surplus of women. Tons of college girls in their physical prime - younger, hotter, tighter. Owing to the man shortage, many are single, lonely, and horny. They're also in their "experimental" phase.

2. Low Expectations. Girls' expectations haven't gone up yet. For college girls, a guy with a professional job, a car, and his own pad is high-status (beats screwing in a crowded dingy dorm right?) It's only when they hit the real world that they start adding to that 500 bullet-point checklist.

3. Limited competition. In the big city you're competing with REAL top-dog alpha ballers, bankers, lawyers, and millionaire playboys all the bitches want. In a Podunk college town your competition is... Joe the Plumber and broke college kids. Most small town guys your age are married or locked down in LTRs. Women are as choosy as their options. Big fish, small pond.

I'm 25 and live in my college alma mater town with 3 big campuses within a half hour drive. I'm getting more arse now than any of my boys in the big city.

Now this is all contingent upon landing professional employment commensurate with your skills, but if you're a young professional dude with game living in a college town, you gotta balling in poon. I imagine the main thing holding back most guys from staying in their college town and playing the game is the lack of job opportunities.

Now you could lament the dearth of restaurants, museums, festivals, culture etc. but honestly who cares for that shit when you're getting young tight ass without your wallet taking a beating?

I think it is better to be in a big city with multiple colleges.

Colleges, contrary to popular opinion are not the gardens of eden people make them out to be.

I recently stopped by my alma mater and was surprised about the low quality of girls there. This new generation is really chubby and dresses pretty poor by and large.

And before you start talking about how I went to the "wrong college", my University is a bastion of West Coast Wealth and beauty think girls from: Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, Hollywood hills, La Jolla, Del Mar, SF, Las Vegas (private schools), Denver (private schools), Phoenix(private schools). One of the best in America.

I will take Spearmint Rhino on a Tuesday night, Lincoln Road in South Beach on a Wednesday night or a model party in SoHo on a Monday night over a college party any day of the week.

Hmmm. Interesting topic..I've been debating this myself. I used to live in a college town when I was in University. During the semester it was great(especially in fall and spring) but come summer time it was a ghost town. So I would say that's a huge draw back.
Now as much as I hate on DC at least over here we have tourists, interns and young professionals to chose from. Women who are new in town are vulnerable. Most of my SNLs come from women just in town for the weekend. Women who travel have that Vegas mentality. You don't really have that in a college town.
Also..we have several colleges that surround DC. I could easily swoop UMD,AU, Georgetown or GWU.

Not arguing against anything you said in ur post just saying these are the advantages to living in a city.

I agree with G. I lived at a university... and it's a shitty place to learn game because the circles are so small. You fuck up with a few girls and now everyone knows you as the "creepy" guy when in reality you're just trying to learn. However colleges are where young girls get funneled into so they can't be ruled out entirely.

Any city with a few big colleges is ideal. You can practice your game in one part of the city and run game on the young girls when you feel more confident.

Two different types of game. Cold approach is great for big city. Social circle is great for college towns. I agree with G, though. Big city with Universities are the best. Most public universities have tens of thousands of students and are in decent-sized cities. Small, private, liberal arts and private colleges out in the middle of nowhere tend to suck for cold approach game but the most popular guys will definitely get laid the most.

Hell yeah. Big cities allow you to crash and burn hundreds of times and have no effect on your social status. This is especially true with day game. It really helps newbies out and can help us learn the ropes before we fuck it up at school or university.

Not true. If your school is particularly selective(most ivies, engineering/tech colleges, and quite a few of the better liberal arts schools) you might get a ratio that goes the other way around. Even some state schools(example: State Univ. of New York at Binghampton) have roughly even(48:50% girls vs. boys) gender ratios.

Most schools do fit this bill(the average college is 60:40, maybe more by now actually) but be sure to make sure the school you're hanging around is not an exception, because they do exist.

The smarter the school, the fewer of these there are. Another thing to note-stick to less selective(and, fortunately, more common) state schools. The more studious girls are not as gung-ho for experimentation as others, and they're harder to game.

watch out for prestigous schools filled with rich girls from elite private/prep schools. Those chicks have expectations and date boys from similar economic backgrounds(quite a few of these girls are fond of lacrosse players...there is a reason why), so avoid colleges with a lot of them (read: most Ivies and elite liberal arts colleges).

Again, be careful that your school is not an exception to this rule. At my school, most of the kids are upper middle class or above, and that means I go head to head with a whole bunch of millionaires. Some of these guys I know will legitimately inherit NFL teams someday. Good luck going head to head with that barring a ton of swagger/game.

Check the demographics of your school, and avoid the ones that have high tuitions and/or have students with high average household incomes.

Again, I think this theory is actually accurate in most instances, with my corrections being minor but worth noting. In most major college towns, this strategy will work, but you need to avoid those with more studious and wealthy individuals, as their increased presence will hinder the benefits of this type of plan. A lot of these small/podunk towns are centered around small, relatively selective liberal arts schools like these, and you will want to stay away from them.

I went to a college just like the one you have described and it sucked badly. The school I went to actually had slightly more men then women. So much competition! You want that ratio to be 40/60 men to women.

How about a college near a big city, so you get the best of both worlds? Some place like Austin, or maybe even Ann Arbor, which has become a big city thanks to the college, but I digress as usual.

I'm doing this all wrong. I live in a college town and am a young professional (if 30 counts).

First mistake: When I was 18-19, I was still very introverted and took a technology program where it was 90:10% ratio for guys. The girls there were dogs. I didn't participate in any social events during my time there, and the social circle I had (school & friends) didn't offer any opportunities. I hated (and still do) the clubs with a passion.

Second (ongoing) mistake: I work at that college now, going on 10 years, but haven't been able to take advantage of the opportunity that's around me. There were maybe a couple of times I made out with some girls, but that's all. I need to learn how to approach somehow, but it's tough when all the people are in their own cliques, going about schoolwork and I'm stuck behind my desk. I need to figure this out.

About a comment above that mentioned social circles, the city I live in is a place where everyone knows everyone else. As much as I'd like to grow my social circle, I think this fact inversely negates the chances you need to just fuck around and make mistakes. I'd probably lean towards living in a big city for finding a match.

Perhaps the difference between "college city" and "big city" is the population size in proportion to the amount of colleges there are.

a college city/town is for the most part refereed to as a town that centers around a college. pretty much it is known for it(s) universities.

there is like 3-4 college towns in my state of North Carolina. (Greenville, Chapel Hill, Boone, Pembroke, Wilmington ect) Then there is the cities like Charlotte, Raleigh which have colleges also if not more than the ones above but they are not really college towns.

this is my take on it anyway. much rather be in a big city that has the colleges

This is connected in a peripheral way-- I didn't go to Harvard or anything like it, but my friend did and I visited him while he was working in a booth videoing classes ( they videorecorded all classes for web archiving.)

So I got to hang and look carefully at that whole class of biology students-which is a good mix-- women are willing to take the life sciences, they're just not diligent enough for engineering/comp sci/ the really dry, hard-as-hell to pass stuff.

Something like biology is really more memorization, and within their more limited abstract reasoning abilities.

But the point was at Harvard, I could tell just from looking at these students -- there MUST have been a photo required in the application. The average appearance was at least a 7-8 by my relatively liberal standards. Few if any 10s-- you do have to be very smart to get in, unless you're a senator's grandson like GWB.

Only ONE of the maybe 25 female students was at a level I wouldn't have gone for.

Walking around campus, I was able to pass for some kind of grad student, however my friend who had weaseled into the night school ( Harvard lets anyone take the night classes, a good in for a climber) had a markedly blue-collar, overweight appearance.

He got looked at like a Martian. You have to have some excuse for being there. When I went to briefly watch the girls lacrosse practice you'd have thought they were going to call the CSI people. Very class conscious and unreachable in my book unless you are a true natural alpha and YOUNG.

For reference see the very good movie "The Rules of Attraction" where at an upper-middle class private school one girl discovers to her horror she's lost her virginity to a "townie."

As an addendum, its worth noting that when it comes to these white/asian, upper middle class Ivy-type girls, you're better off not being black either.

This is an interesting topic, but also what would be the best of both worlds? Maybe somewhere like Miami since the city of Miami itself has some decent universities and hot girls and it is close to some college towns with the hottest girls such as Gainesville, Tallahassee, Orlando, Tampa and probably some more in Florida.
